What did you guys think of IT? I thought it was the best horror movie that's been out in LONG time. It had that old school spooky vibe with the 80's nostalgia. It stuck with me for a few weeks after I watched it just in terms of certain scenes and how they really made you flash back to childhood fears... (The haunted house for instance) Best Stephen King horror movie hands down in my opinion! Can't wait for the sequel! Any thoughts on what you'd like to see in the sequel?

liked the original this one just feels like they tried to hard to make the clown too scary where the original was subtle at first.

I didn't care for the new one as much as the original. In fact, not since the Green Mile have I liked a Stephen King film.
Best horror film lately for me was Halloween by Rob Zombie. The Devil's Rejects was amazing too.

I think it's a bit unfair to ask people to compare the first half of the new movie (since it is, as the miniseries was, a two-parter) to the entire story told in the miniseries because we don't know how they'll tackle the adult part yet. With that said, the new movie was a great and different take on the original source material. I thought Skarsgard was good as Pennywise but I'll always prefer Curry since that's the first version I saw and I think Curry is incredible in the miniseries. The kids in the new movie were better than the kids in the original by a mile, though. There was a genuine feeling of friendship that came across so well on film. There were some really great scenes (the scene at Niebolt and the projector scene were awesome) and the final fight with Pennywise on its own is really good, but watch that scene with "Natural Born Killaz" as background music and it becomes an all time great scene.
But yeah, it's a bit early to say which is better because they haven't done the adult half of the story yet. It'd be like asking someone to compare a wrestling show that's three matches in to WrestleMania X-Seven.

The Devil's Rejects was amazing too. The original IT is it for me, I do get it is a wait and see with the next chapter in today's version, but the Original with Tim Curry as Pennywise is top stuff. I agree that The Green Mile was the last top movie and Halloween & Devil's Rejects are awesome, in fact I look at the song Freebird differently after that movie...
