If Omega is fully healthy, it could be amazing.

I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to this match but I just want to say I loved looking on Twitter this morning and seeing all the people who complained about 50 year old Goldberg being in a featured match at WrestleMania losing their shit over 47 year old Chris Jericho being in a featured match on the Dome Show.
I'm not saying it won't be good (it most likely will be), it's just not something that appeals to me which looking at the current Dome Show lineup is kind of the theme of that show.

Okada vs Naito and Jericho vs. Omega? Nothing WWE will do in 2017-2018 will match that. Not unless they pull the trigger on Brock vs. AJ.

I think Omega vs. Jericho will make a ton of money and will probably be Jericho's last big match. I don't see the WWE topping this show either, not the way they're booking things now.

The spectacle of the match will be a big deal and will probably be Jericho's last big match. I'm not that excited about the match itself, though. Don't get me wrong, it's really cool they actually got the match and again I'm sure it'll be good, but it's just one of those, 'eh, okay' things for me like a lot of New Japan stuff is now. It's certainly a match that has a lot of western fans excited, which was the entire point of booking it. But right now, the rumored card looks like this: RP3K/Bucks IWGP Jr. Tag Scurll/Ospreay/KUSHIDA/Hiromu IWGP Jr Cody/Ibushi ROH World Tanahashi/Jay White IC Omega/Jericho US Okada/Naito IWGP Heavy and the only thing I can really think of to say is that it's cool that everything aside from the main event is pretty much fresh. Mind you I'm not thrilled about Cody vs. Ibushi because Cody is godawful and I don't see any real way Ibushi gets something out of him but hey it's a new match so that's a plus. I'm glad that New Japan are finally out of the hole they were in a decade ago and I'm glad their expansion is working (so far) and western fans are finally watching Japanese wrestling but after Shibata got hurt I just don't give a shit anymore but that's pretty much where I'm at with most modern pro wrestling outside of a few select workers and Big Japan as a whole. So with that said, I hope Kenny and Jericho kill it for the sake of everyone excited for the match. I'm pretty confident they will. I'll go back to being a grumpy old guy watching 1998-2000 ECW and mid 80s JCP.
