I appreciate it Bri. This project seems manageable, and fun, both key in me actually sticking to it!

CARD 4: GQ Stratus d. Dragonmaster in a dandy of a match to maintain ownership of the COTG Triple Crown (***3/4). Another solid bout between these two (they had a great bout a few months back in GWF action that was 5-stars!), with the challenger more than holding his own. In the end, Stratus methodically wore down his opponent, finally putting him away with this Leglock hold to keep the World Title. The fans were clearly in Dragonmaster’s corner this evening, as he is one of the more popular wrestlers in the former GWF’s history. Many would love to see him as World Champion in this, the new COTG, but alas, it wasn’t to be this evening.
Action from around COTG: “Playboy” Buddy Rose d. Quasar to become the first Empire State Heavyweight Champion (**). Rose was determined this evening, using…ahem…any means necessary to make history, and become the first champion of COTG’s home territory. It almost appeared that Quasar was being hit with a foreign object, but for whatever reason, the referee couldn’t get an unobstructed view of it. All hail the svelte Playboy, our first Empire State Heavyweight Champion, tipping the scales at a fit and trim 217…er…271 pounds!
Next Card: The COTG Triple Crown travels to Washington, DC, for a scheduled defense against Magnum TA. Magnum is always a tough out, and a former WWA World Champion himself.
Stratus: 1 Title Defense.

Very cool Stu!
Enjoying you're world my friend.
I totally agree that any of the Flair-esq wrestlers are awesome - I'm a huge fan of Solar Flair.
Congrats to GQ Stratus and Playboy Buddy Rose.
Rose has really grown on me courtesy of this game. Mr. 271 is something else thats for sure.
Good work my friend looking forward to Stratuses next title defense!

(Thanks Bri! And my apologies to any who may have read this post yesterday...I goofed a bit on Stratus's opponent for Card 5, and edited the "Next Card" section accordingly. I'm sorry for any confusion, and we're now back on track!)
CARD 5: GQ Stratus d. Magnum TA to retain the COTG Triple Crown (**1/4). Stratus had his working shoes on tonight COTG fans, as he really had very little problem with the challenger, once again using his vaunted Leg Lock to win the day. Stratus, in true Stratus-fashion, pranced around the ring like a proud peacock after the victory, taunting both the fans and the fallen TA.
Action from around COTG: Commander Sam & U.S. Male d. Mangus & The Draconian Sheik in tag action from Boston this evening (**1/4). Commander Sam & Mangus have been having a dandy of a feud, and it continued this evening. While Sam and Male got the win, this is far from over. And what a pairing, Mangus & The Draconian Sheik…hide the women and children!
Next Card: The COTG Triple Crown next travels to New York, NY, for a special return bout between GQ Stratus and his hated rival “Showstoppa” Luther Diggs. As it turns out, COTG officials did see Stratus at least attempting to use the ropes for extra leverage when he finished off Diggs (see: Card 3), and a rematch has been ordered!
Stratus: 2 Title Defenses.

CARD 6: Luther Diggs d. GQ Stratus to capture the COTG Triple Crown for a 2nd time, gaining a measure of revenge against his hated rival (**3/4). Diggs pummeled Stratus from pillar to post in this one, COTG fans, ensuring that Stratus would be in no condition to even have the opportunity to try his dirty tricks. The fans were happy to see that justice was served…for now!
Action from around COTG: Thantos d. Crossfire in a solid bout between top contenders, putting Crossfire away with the Masterlock (***). It looked like Crossfire might win this one early, but when a high risk maneuver went awry, that gave Thantos the advantage. The Midnight Express d. Twin Blood to successfully defend their Triple Crown Tag-Team Titles (***). This one had echoes of a classic battle between the MX and the Rock & Roll Express, as Twin Blood is a high-flying team. MX manager Jim Cornette inserted himself several times in this one, ensuring his team would have the edge they needed. The man knows how to wield a racket!
Next Card: There will be no resting on laurels for our new champion, as he will head to Rochester, NY, for a scheduled defense against “The Natural Man”, Bobby Roberts.
MX: 1 Title Defense.

Hey stu! Really digging the action here and I like your posting style - concise and powerful. Well done. Stratus got his ass handed to him it sounds like. Revenge is a dish best served cold right? Congrats to the new champion Luther Diggs!

CARD 7: Luther Diggs d. “Natural Man” Bobby Roberts in an entertaining match to retain the COTG Title, putting Roberts away with his Showstoppa Slam (i.e., a Rock Bottom) (***1/2). Great back and forth action in this one fans, and was starting to evolve into a classic, when Diggs finally put the kibosh on the evening with his finisher. Goodnight Mr. Roberts!
Action from around COTG: Buddy Rose successfully defended The Empire State Heavyweight Title against Blizzard in very short order (*…match just never truly got off the ground). Rose showed he’s not to be taken for granted by dispatching Blizzard without much effort (Blizzard is historically speaking very competitive!). The “Playboy” strutted around the ring like a peacock afterwards, proudly wearing the Empire State title around his waist. Oh, he’s just too much!
Next Card: Diggs will next travel to Toronto for a scheduled defense against the legendary Thantos.
Diggs: 1 Title Defense. Rose: 1 Title Defense.

CARD 8: Thantos d. Luther Diggs to capture the COTG Triple Crown in a very good contest (****). Diggs, like so many wrestlers before him, fell prey to the dreaded Masterlock. Once Thantos slaps that on, its typically curtains for his opponents. Diggs put up a valiant fight until that point, as he was busted open early in the bout, and wore the proverbial crimson mask.
Action from around COTG: In a battle of fierce rivals, Endgame d. Monolith in great action (***1/2). These two continue to hate each other, and may always hate each other. The heat is palpable between them!
Next Card: Our newly crowned champion will take the Triple Crown to Philadelphia, PA for a scheduled defense against the great chief, Omega.
