I was just re-reading the Future Shock booklets and was wondering what other promoters thought about the history of COTG. Who are your favorite characters of all time? Who do you think are the most underrated COTG characters?
GWF Classics Era (2074-2086)
GWF Golden Age (2087-2118)
GWF Silver Age (2119-Present)
aCe
CPC/POW

GWF Classics Era (2074-2086)Official cards.....Mimic I suppose. Not a huge amount of choices...when you add the other set though...Caiman.
GWF Golden Age (2087-2118)Wow...lots of choices.......probably for me the answer would be Archon who was always super tough.
GWF Silver Age (2119-Present)Hmmmmm tough choice here...for me most underrated guy who did well for me was probably Anivar.
aCe Nicodemus but only because I don't think anyone was really underrated there.
CPC/POW If anyone knows my old CPC fed, Blizzard without a doubt.

Classics - Think I have to agree on Mimic. I was always a big Estorians fan. Classics 3000 isn't highly thought-of but I did like Infinity, Infinity-Plex, and Density, at least.
Golden Age - This probably could be split up further. Guys who were more awesome in my fed than they seemed to be for others, whether successful in terms of wins and titles or just fun to use: Mad Jester (both versions, especially when he was an anti-Hero), the Keepers of the Stone, the GameMasters (post-downgrade Star Warrior version), Killing Machine, and Doomsday Creature. Doomsayer vs. Wolf in an Interplanetary Title ladder match was one of the greatest matches in my fed's history, an unexpected all-time classic for such a random pairing.
Silver Age - I always liked Retribution, though he was held back a lot by basically being married to Nosfera as a character.
aCe - I was always curious to see where Kris was going to go with Witchdoctor. He said at a GCon once that in future sets he'd potentially play a larger role, but we never got that far.
CPC/POW - I loved Thayne's character. Usually in wrestling and in fiction in general, the villain does something bad and the hero is there to react. Here we had a Hero who was also a s**t-disturber in his own right. Like Retribution he was sort of chained to the Faithful Crusade but unlike Retribution I think he could have found motivation to stick around after that feud ran its course and try to correct other injustices.

Golden Age - This probably could be split up further. You're right about that. Probably should have divided it up with Civil War or Megatournament as the dividing line. I always liked how Mark wrote him as an anti-hero. Looking at modern wrestling, it's easy to write that kind of character simply as a bad guy who people cheer for. Thayne was a sympathetic character who didn't want your sympathy. He just wanted justice.
