RENDEZVOUS 1 La Boom 56-15 Northern Boulevard Woodside, NY, 11377 1) Jigsaw w/ Mike Quackenbush defeated Jeff Cobb via pinfall. Cobb started out trying to power through the smaller Jigsaw. “The Wrestling Riddle Wrapped in an Enigma” surprised Cobb with a Quackendriver to get a two count. Jigsaw continued with quick offense and managed to lift and drop Cobb with the Jig ‘n’ Tonic. However, Cobb kicked out again. Jigsaw, obviously determined to win the match, came back with one more Jig ‘n’ Tonic and finally obtained the pinfall victory. 2) Alex Colon defeated Joey Janela via pinfall. There was some heat in this match with a lot of near falls. Colon nailed Janela via Done Deal like it was his only move, but “Bad Boy” had too much fight in him. Janela nearly won when he countered a flying crossbody into a pin attempt; Colon kicked out at two. “Best of the Best” then found himself in the Crossface, followed by a nasty Moonsault Double Stomp. Colon kept finding a way to dodge defeat. In the end, Colon hit the Done Deal twice for the victory. 3) Taeler Hendrix defeated Sara Del Rey via pinfall. “Death Rey” immediately tried to end the match via Royal Butterfly, but Hendrix stretched her leg out to drop it across the bottom rope. SDR quickly came back with the Cross Armbreaker; however, Hendrix fought back to gain control. Hendrix eventually ended the match with the Kiss Goodnight. Sara Del Rey was shocked she let the match slip through her fingers. She paced around the ring, kicking the bottom rope, and even tossed a few chairs. Eventually, she calmed down and walked to the back. However, Allysin Kay came through the crowd and attacked SDR from behind. Both ladies had to be pulled off each other. In the end, SDR said she’d see Kay at RENDEZVOUS 2. 4) Jaka w/ Chris Dickinson defeated Willie Mack via pinfall. Mack started out bringing the house and Jaka down with the Chocolate Thunder Bomb. Jaka kicked out at two but was brought down again via MDX. Jaka, after communicating with Chris Dickinson outside the ring, came back with a T’Challa Kick and the Jaguar Jaws for the victory. After the match, Jaka and Chris Dickinson challenged any team to wrestle them at RENDEZVOUS 2. 3.0 came out and accepted the challenge. The fans loved seeing Scott Parker and Shane Matthews back in action after a long hiatus from the ring. 5) Silas Young defeated Keith Lee via pinfall. Both of these men were ready to fight. Young eventually dropped the big man with Pee Gee Waja Plunge; Lee kicked out without any issue, coming back with a running lariat for a two count. Lee tried Ground Zero twice; however, Young didn’t plan on leaving with a loss. In the end, “The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling” nailed Lee with another Pee Gee Waja Plunge for the win. After the match, Lee asked Young for a rematch at RENDEZVOUS 2. 6) World’s Cutest Tag Team of Candice LeRae and Joey Ryan defeated PPRay of Pretty Peter Avalon & Ray Rosas via pinfall. The fans were really behind LeRae and Ryan. The first pin attempt came when Avalon tried to nail LeRae with a clothesline in the corner; LeRae jumped out of the way and rolled Pretty Peter up for a quick two count. Ryan came in and obtained another two count via Walkoff. Rosas made his way into the fold and received a two count after an Ego Trip on LeRae. In the end, LeRae finished off Avalon via Balls Plex. 7) Lance Hoyt defeated Chuck Taylor w/ Trent Barreta via pinfall. “The American Psycho” did not want to play around with Taylor, getting two near falls back-to-back after Dark Days. Taylor came back with a quick, roll-up pin after Hoyt crashed into the turnbuckle, but the big man kicked out at one. The Awful Waffle allowed Taylor to get a two count, but Hoyt turned even more aggressive after that. Taylor continued to try and win via Awful Waffle on two more occasions; Hoyt was too strong and determined. After the Texas Tower Bomb and another Dark Days, Hoyt wound up winning with the F’n Slam. After the match, Barreta tried to check on Taylor. Hoyt decided to destroy him via Blackout. “The F’N Machine” Brian Cage came out to the ring and said he wanted Hoyt at RENDEZVOUS 2. Hoyt said he didn’t mind destroying Cage at RENDEZVOUS 2. The fans were very happy to see Cage in the house as the show faded to black.

La Boom 56-15 Northern Boulevard Woodside, NY, 11377 1) Darby Allin defeated Trent Barreta w/ Chuck Taylor via pinfall. Allin came out ready to win, immediately going for the Coffin Drop. Barreta rolled out of the ring and picked up near fall with a springboard dropkick once back in the ring. Taylor tried to talk a game plan with Barreta on the ring apron, but Allin crashed into both of them with the Coffin Drop. Allin would go on to hit the Coffin Drop two more times, but it was a crucifix that allowed him to pick up the win. 2) Jeff King defeated Jeff Cobb via submission. Nobody thought King would beat Cobb, but King believed in King. Most importantly, King believed in his Bear Hug. Cobb picked up a few near falls with the Roller Coaster and Tour of the Islands, but it would be King applying the Bear Hug five times in this match that ultimately brought forth victory. 3) Willie Mack defeated Joey Janela via pinfall. Mack struck first with an awesome Chocolate Thunder Bomb. “Bad Boy” kicked out at two, though he was dropped again with a Samoan Drop for another two count. Janela made a small offensive comeback and went for the Moonsault Double Stomp; however, he crashed and burned. Mack nailed him with another Chocolate Thunder Bomb for the win. After the match, Mack tried to shake hands with Janela. “Bad Boy” sneered and walked away. 4) Sara Del Rey defeated Allysin Kay via submission. “Death Rey” was quick to apply the Cross Armbreaker, but Kay had her boots on the bottom rope. Kay took the match to the outside and gained control. She would gain a near fall with the Cut-Throat, and then another via discus lariat. SDR surprised Kay with a pinning combination that almost put the match away, and then followed that up with a Northern Nights Suplex for another two count. In the end, SDR put Kay in the Cross Armbreaker again for the win. 5) Brian Cage w/ Michael Elgin defeated Lance Hoyt via pinfall. Hoyt underestimated Cage’s power; you could see the shock in his eyes as Cage picked up a near fall after the Weapon X. Hoyt, completely frustrated, came back with a big Tombstone Piledriver, Dark Days, and a Texas Tower Bomb. Cage still proved to be the better man after a huge delayed superplex and a final Weapon X. After the match, Hoyt pointed at Elgin and said he was next. 6) Doom Patrol of Jaka & Chris Dickinson defeated. 3.0 of Scott Parker & Shane Matthews via pinfall. Shane Matthews was quick to go for the “Boston Crab!” However, Jaka was ready for it due to knowing it was on the way. Jaka nearly put Parker away after countering a crossbody, but Matthews made the save. Surprisingly, Parker kicked out of the Total Elimination, a Koppo Kick from Jaka, Jaguar Jaws outside of the ring, and a Tombstone Piledriver from Dickinson; however, the Death Trap finished Parker for the night. 7) Keith Lee defeated Silas Young via pinfall. Young didn’t waste any time, going for the Pee Gee Waja Plunge as soon as could. However, Lee would come back with a massive amount of offense that would control the rest of the match. “The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling” would take the Ground Zero on more than one occasion, a Spirit Bomb, and Doomsault. “Limitless” even busted open Young with the Meteor. In the end, Lee finished Young off via Ground Zero.

Hoyt learns the hard way not to underestimate the MACHINE! Great start to what looks like a very entertaining journey into the indies... Awesome work!

RENDEZVOUS 3Logan Square Auditorium 2539 North Kedzie Boulevard Chicago, IL 1) Fred Yehi defeated Jervis Cottonbelly via submission. Jervis had the fans behind him, but he didn’t have much offensive moxie; Yehi controlled the whole match. The first near fall came after a Yehi Special Kick; Cottonbelly was rocked! From there, Yehi nailed his nice opponent with the Uzamaki Special; “Gentleman” got a leg on the bottom rope during the count. It would take the Koji Clutch being applied two times, but Yehi eventually made Jervis tap to end the match. 2) Mikey O’Shea defeated Jeff Cobb via pinfall. This match went in and out of the ring with Cobb only getting a few near falls here and there. O’Shea proved that he wanted to make a name for himself in RENDEZVOUS by displaying his power and determination. Cobb, on the other hand, continued to struggle in the ring. However, “Mr. Athletic” was strong enough to take the Irish Car Bomb four times before the final one put him down for good. After the match, O’Shea said he wanted Keith Lee. 3) Silas Young defeated Jeff King via submission. Young continued to display his ability to do just about anything in the squared circle. He started off by going for the Pee Gee Waja Plunge almost as soon as the match began. King rolled out of the ring before he could be pinned. Once back in the ring, King found himself in the Stock Lock; he struggled to the ropes. King tried to submit “The Last Real Man in Professional Wrestling” with the Bear Hug, but Young drove the smaller man into the turnbuckle. King went to the second rope and went for the crossbody. Sadly, Young tossed him into the mat and applied the Stock Lock again for the victory. 4) LuFisto defeated Taeler Hendrix via disqualification. Hendrix made a statement, though it cost her the match. She first shook the arena after a big cobra clutch suplex for a two count, and then followed it up with a stiff palm strike for another near fall. LuFisto struck back with a huge Diving Star, but that only enraged Hendrix. As LuFisto went after a retreating Taeler Hendrix, the “Poison Princess” grabbed a steel chair and struck LuFisto right in the gut. Hendrix was fined and removed from RENDEZVOUS 4 for her actions. 5) Lance Hoyt defeated Trent Baretta w/ Chuck Taylor via countout. “This is the first five star match for RENDEZVOUS,” Dave Meltzer immediately tweeted to his massive amount of followers. Hoyt started the match by destroying Baretta with everything in his arsenal. It was the big boot and Texas Tower Bomb that were key to Hoyt staying on top for so long. Baretta did make a few big comebacks for two counts with the leg lariat and Gobstopper; however, Hoyt tossed a bleeding Baretta into the crowd with the Blackout for the countout victory. 6) Unbreakable F’n Machines of Brian Cage & Michael Elgin defeated War Machine of Raymond Rowe & Hanson via pinfall. War Machine wasn’t supposed to be on the card, but the Colony were unable to make the event due to bad weather; War Machine were in the area for another local show. Elgin picked up a near fall after a sick Deadlift Powerbomb on Hanson! Rowe received one as well outside of the ring. Cage nearly took Rowe’s head off with a charging lariat, but it was Cage’s Weapon X that obtained the win over Raymond Rowe. War Machine stated that they would be back! 7) Willie Mack defeated Keith Lee via pinfall. “Keith Lee is obviously the guy RENDEZVOUS is building the promotion around. However, that doesn’t mean he’s always going to win,” Dave Meltzer said in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Lee started out by dominating with his power and agility, gaining near falls with a countered sunset flip and a slingshot bodypress. Mack then felt Ground Zero and the Spirit Bomb! He managed to kick out of both! In the end, Mack took over and beat Lee with the Chocolate Thunder Bomb, though it took more than one and an MDX as well to put the fan favorite down. After the match, “Limitless” said he wanted Mack again at RENDEZVOUS 4!

Hoyt rebounded nicely from his earlier loss to Cage with that victory over Barreta... And an excellent performance from both men in a match that earns 5 stars... Not sure I actually believe Meltzer gave it such a high rating though, considering it did NOT take place inside the Tokyo Dome... Just sayin'... Another really fun show!

RENDEZVOUS 4Logan Square Auditorium 2539 North Kedzie Boulevard Chicago, IL 1) Tessa Blanchard w/ Vanessa Kraven defeated Hudson Envy w/ Christina Von Eerie via pinfall. Blanchard controlled the early part of the match, nailing Envy with the Double Knee Facebreaker. Envy took the match outside of the ring and threw an onslaught of lariats and German Suplexes at Blanchard. However, Blanchard came back strong with the Double Knee Facebreaker again for the victory. After the match, all four ladies had words for each other. 2) World’s Cutest Tag Team of Candice LeRae & Joey Ryan defeated Great Outdoors of Jake Manning & Grizzly Redwood via pinfall. Manning and Redwood brought the fight out of the ring and worked Ryan over for the majority of the match. LeRae eventually jumped in after a hot tag and took out both members of the Great Outdoors. In the end, LeRae surprised “Man Scout” with a crazy, over dramatic, stalling tilt-a-whirl headscissors. After the mach, Manning was so dizzy that he needed help walking to the back. 3) Jeff Cobb defeated Jervis Cottonbelly via pinfall. Cobb, a man you would not expect to be winless, picked up his first win in under a minute. Cottonbelly went to shake Cobb’s hand, but the “Gentleman” was met with a Hawaiian Punch. “Mr. Athletic” then delivered the Bam Bams and called it a night. Cottonbelly tried to question Cobb after the match; however, all he received was a Tour of the Islands. 4) Roy Wilkins defeated Mikey O’Shea via submission. Wilkins controlled the majority of the match, running a wrestling clinic at the expense of O’Shea. Even when O’Shea wanted to take the match outside of the ring, Wilkins had the expertise and brains to always get the upper hand. O’Shea displayed some of his power, but he eventually tapped out after being put in the Seventh Inning Stretch. 5) Jeff King defeated Trevor Lee via submission. Lee rocked King throughout the match. King turned it around when he whipped the “Carolina Caveman” into the guardrail. From that point, King attacked the back and continued to apply the Bear Hug. After one too many, Lee tapped from the Bear Hug in the center of the ring. After the match, King said he needed a real challenge. Lee whipped King around and let him get a taste of the Orange Crush. 6) Michael Elgin defeated Lance Hoyt via disqualification. These two ran into each other like bulls, fighting in and out of the ring. After Elgin started to get the best of Hoyt, the “American Psycho” tossed Elgin over the guardrail and into the crowd. Hoyt then lifted Elgin and dropped him with the Texas Tower Bomb. When told to get back in the ring, Hoyt shouted expletives at the referee. 7) Keith Lee defeated Willie Mack via pinfall. Lee has this unwritten rule that he must always beat the opponent that beats him. When Silas Young beat him, Lee came back. When Willie Mack beat him, Lee came back. Mack controlled the majority of the match, picking up a near fall with the MDX and Chocolate Thunder Bomb. Out of nowhere, Lee hulked up and hit the Ground Zero and then Spirit Bomb for the win. After the match, Lee and Mack hugged and said they should tag together in the future.
