Yeah I can't wait for this one either! Andre is still one of the most interesting figures in sports history ... Not just wrestling. He was a true attraction just by himself. I'm genuinely interested to find out some things we don't know about this guy. I hope it isn't just a recap of things we've already heard.

There's some great footage in the documentary, especially the early stuff and the behind the curtain stuff. One can only hope that we can get some more documentaries like this and the Flair 30 for 30.
I had the opportunity to interview author and field producer Pat Laprade for my podcast (King of Pro Wrestling). He's currently writing what should be the definitive Andre bio and a perfect companion piece to the doc, scheduled for 2019 release. He was a field producer on the doc and got to go to France with them and was in the hotel room as well as translating for the family interviews. He got to see the chair they had built for Andre, too.
It was a fun interview and Pat talks at length about Andre, the documentary, his books, and some women's wrestling (we were at SHIMMER weekend after all).
