Cheering for Tessa in that one. I have to agree with my man TTX. But looking forward to how it all develops!

As am I. But part of me has mixed emotions on this. Part me wants to see Jazz continue to hold on to the title but as we have seen actual wrestling that Brock Lesnar with the title so long and dominant starts to lose its lustre as we then just want the belt off of him and honestly don't care who it is. Jazz has become that for me to a certain extent. She has been dominant and destroyed up and coming young talent as well as established legendary talent and there comes a point where the dice are protecting her. Almost like the "Powers of Be" are so high on Jazz because of her being a wrestling champion and taking on all challengers head on but at some point you have to say its time for a new face after having such a long run.
With Tessa winning it is exciting as it takes it into a whole new territory and new challengers, maybe even old challengers that may have had no chance with Jazz but with Tessa it could be a whole different story. I love and hate the randomness of the dice and where they could potentially take things after this match. On paper Jazz should retain in this first encounter. To lead to a build up to a bigger card but the dice will make that decision. I will give folks an update as to what happens/happened in this match upon its completion later this weekend. Let's see where this takes my SHIMMER fed next.
Hope folks continue to post their unstoppable champions stories as well.

Well an update:
Jazz does it again!
At my recent SHIMMER Volume 75: Jazz faces off against Tessa Blanchard for the SHIMMER Heavyweight Championship! The defending champion Jazz pulls a rabbit out of her hat and has an old friend join her at ringside just as Tessa has Vanessa Kraven, Jazz has Amesome Kong! Rhythm and Bruise are back together! Match storywise was good but moves wise nothing spectacular with Jazz constantly wearing down Tessa with the STF. Match kept heading out to the floor and at one point Kraven got invoved with Jazz on the outside that kept the ref busy enough for Amazing Kong to make her move and hit the AWESOME BOMB! Jazz rolls in and cinches the STF and gets the victory. The Dominance of Jazz continues! And now it is even more deadly with Kong in her corner. Jazz is not at the level of Bruno Sammartino meets Brock Lesnar in length and ferocity in a long standing title reign.

Great topic!
When I first put together my women’s promotion, I was one team short for the tournament to crown Tag Team Champions. I threw together Jazz and April Hunter, assuming they would get bounced in the first round and set up a nice little feud for me.
Instead, despite having no (tag) options and horrible double-teaming because they were not affiliated with one another in any way AND going down to Level 1 Offense every time they tagged on offense, they won it all.
Jazz and Hunter held the titles against all comers for sixteen months until I finally retired Jazz and shifted Hunter into a managerial role.

See Jazz is a tough cookie and April Hunter is pretty tough in her own right. April has been doing alright for me in singles but she is currently sitting in between mid to low card hell at the moment due to the amount of women (all of them) that I am using in my Shimmer fed. Plus the dice don't know if they love or dislike her as they have pretty much evened out her win and loss record and she just doesn't make gains but she doesn't lose enough to be at the bottom of the roster. The dice however love Jazz.

My SHIMMER fed I run alongside my original GWF and the women cross in. I usually run cards like the DVD volumes. my first and longest reigning champion was Cheerleader Melissa (vol 12 - vol 43). the tag belts are a hot potato barely staying on a team more than one defense, the current champions Fire & Nice. Trish Stratus and Madison Rayne entered and are cutting the ranks both looking at my current champion Leva Bates who won it when Courtney Rush knocked out former champion Tessa Blanchard. Mia Yim just won the cross promotion event to win Heart of Shimmer. they have a crossover with the Godsend Wrestling Federation called Girl Power. Lady Godsend is set to face Leva, Marshal Ladies vs. Fire & Nice and others. always like hearing about other SHIMMER feds might do a reboot and post it down the road.

Trish has done ok for me. I really hope the dice take a turn and start giving her wins. Rockin Robin has been trail blazing the undercard and might get a shot at the Heart of SHIMMER title in the next few weeks if she stays on this winning streak. Her last match with Niki Roxx was a awesome and it could have went either way. At the end of the bout the two shook hands and showed mutual respect toward one another and the dice kept it exciting. On this match alone Robin could get her title shot. It was fun to play out.
