Olde Wrestling Federation - The Beginnings:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene is an old, gigantic, refurbished and rebuilt barn that's set just on the edge of a small Ohio town ironically named...Speakeasy, Ohio.
This immense red barn is the home arena and offices for the newly organized Olde Wrestling Federation, owned by none other than former President of and the current Chief Justice of the United States - William H. Taft.
Taft, being a longtime fan of wrestling exhibitions, decided to invest in this endeavor at the urgings of his good friend and associate - Judge Hugo Lexington Black whom Taft has entrusted to act as the Olde Wrestling Federation's (or OWF) Commissioner.
Taft also sent his crack clerk, Inky Scoops from Washington to assist Judge Black full time in getting the fed off the ground and trying to make this into a viable and profitable form of sports exhibition and attraction.
The date was January 1st, 1929.
With the first billed evening of wrestling exhibitions set for Friday, February 1st, Judge Black and Inky Scoops were hard at work procuring the services of a staff for the fed, as well as of course a roster of wrestlers.
Well, Inky was really busy...Judge Black just put on a good show pretending to be busy, but above all he always kept an eye on all of the hirings that Inky made. He strictly forbade anyone who he himself thought might have been even remotely a drinker, let alone someone who profited from underground sales.
Let alone and God forbid...a bootlegger...whom he regarded as the foulest creature spawned from hell itself.
With a week or so to go, Inky (and I guess Judge Black), had everything all set...).
