Chicago, IL - A city with a storied history in the great sport of professional wrestling. Inimitable moments made, legacies forged, and champions crowned. The DuMont Network’s “Wrestling from Marigold” is not only a flagship piece of programming for the network, but is the flagship program of our great sport. Recognized worldwide, it’s time to take the competition to the next level. Not only will Wrestling from Marigold now present two shows per week: The Main Event on Saturdays and Championship Wrestling on Mondays, but we will air the monthly super card from the International Amphitheatre as well!
Of course, this only scratches the surface, as Chicago has been chosen as the host city for a tournament to crown the World’s Heavyweight Champion! And there will be even more exciting announcements in the hours, days, and weeks to come!

Thanks TTX I was struggling with what I wanted to do for my legends fed. My old NWA which only had a handful of cards was fun, but felt like it lost a little of the territorial flavor you could get with a legends fed. So I wanted something a little smaller. Being in Chicago, I started looking into the history of the area and, because I wasn't too thrilled with going with the AWA which would have replicated a lot of what I was doing with NWA, I thought, why not dig deep and really run it like a smaller localized territory. Chicago has such a fascinating history in pro-wrestling and I figured why not capitalize on some of that. Starting out the roster is going to be a little heavy with top guys, but I have a plan in place to transition to utilizing the under- and mid-card guys. Hope you enjoy!

Wrestling from Marigold Championship Press Release- As recently announced, Chicago will be the site to crown a World’s Heavyweight Champion! The winner will be a touring champion, defending the title all across the globe. It’s possible a new star could win the title anywhere at anytime, but rest assured fans, the champion, whoever they are, will return to Chicago on multiple occasions. Specifically, during our summer Great American Bash series and for Starrcade, the annual extravaganza showcasing all the champions and rivalries we’ve seen all year round, as they come to a head in a night of the greatest wrestling action in the world!
As if that was not enough, Wrestling from Marigold will be crowning a United States Champion and Tag Team Champions in the weeks to come! Already rumors are being spread about another title for the program, but we cannot confirm that at this time. Join us on Championship Wrestling this Monday as we begin our journey to crown champions on the greatest wrestling program in the world.

Some exciting Round Robin action to crown champions.
I'm picking HARLEY RACE to capture the Worlds title
BRUISER BRODY to win the US strap
the ROAD WARRIORS to destroy on their way to taking the tag straps.

Looks like some spectacular action lined up... Really hard to pick winners with such a great crop of talent, but I'll give it a go... Lou Thesz emerges as World Heavyweight Champion... Magnum TA claims the United States title... Thinking a DQ decision might spoil Brody's chances... Have to agree with DMKII: 'The Revenge' in regards to the tag tournament... Road Warriors are taking this... Can't wait!

Thanks DMKII: 'The Revenge', I should've been more clear, though, it'll be single elimination. I love round robins tournaments, but I think this would've been too much tournament stuff to get things started. That said, there will be a round robin singles tournament down the line! Solid picks from both you and Pariah. Without spoiling anything, after rolling out a few cards, your picks are still alive... Look for results coming this afternoon!
