Um...Hey guys...  Wow, I've been out of the loop for months now...I was passing through and saw this.....Thanks for remembering me....I wasn't even sure I had signed up on the official boards... Briefest of brief updates: The store I was working at for 9 years, I took it over... The guy that ran it before me actually had to pay $30,000+ to take it over, but after he failed (miserably), the company handed the reins over to me... It's been....difficult...I've never "lost my smile" if we want to use a familiar quote, but, things are a lot busier for me than this time last year...I did so much in that store before I took over that not having me as assistant manager made my life very hard...When I took over on July 2nd I worked, no word of a lie, 10 to 17 hours a day for 48 days straight, culminating in me being onsite for 35 hours straight...After that I didn't enter the store for 24 hours, but then returned to the grind... Nowadays I'm still very busy and under a lot of pressure to get things going right at work, but I've settled into a routine wherein I only work 6 hours Mon-Fri, 1 hour Saturday and 8-10 hours Sunday....So, 40 hours a week, give or take... My Birthday was awesome...It was a Wednesday so I had to work, but I was only in the store for 3 hours...I had a great day, and a great night and it was in the middle of a VERY stressful week, so it was well timed and well deserved... Anyway, I've rambled long enough...Just wanted to say thank you all again for the nice words...It has been a while, and aside from Werner, I've had no contact with any of you...So this came as a surprise when I saw my name in a thread... Thanks again guys...I'll be seeing you... |
