Hey friends,
I am new to LoW. My younger brother is a longtime player and supporter or CotG and I was exposed to the game several years ago. My tastes tend to run oldschool, though, and I preferred a more earthly approach to my wrestling gaming.
Back in the 1980s I was a big fan of The Superstar Pro Wrestling Game. While not perfect, the game was great and provided hours of enjoyment for me and my brothers. Ever since then, I had hoped for a game to eclipse that one.
Well, I found LoW and my desires were satisfied. A few weeks ago I ordered the basic set and some other card sets. I had to learn how to play and how the game mechanics worked, so I crafted a Rules Quicksheet that, best as I can tell, captures the basic rules and sequence of play.
Putting the Quicksheet together and using it has helped me understand the game a lot so I am deciding to share a draft version of it with you folks, hoping...
1. The more experienced gamers might offer advice on improving it,
2. The more experienced gamers might offer corrections to the rules or the information, and
3. The more experienced gamers might catch something I missed, or misstated,
and also when the sheet is ultimately refined, I would hope that
4. It might help other newcomers learn the game.
The Quicksheet doesn't replace the rulebook in any way, it's just for my use to help me to learn how to play. someone without the rulebook would be lost with the quicksheet, so I don;t think posting it here (where we are all fans of the game) would undermine the value of the rulebook.
Here's the link (pardon some formatting problems but I think it's pretty clear)

If my efforts have duplicated someone else's work, I offer it alongside their work, It's primary purpose was to help me learn how to play.
Thanks and hope you enjoy it!
