Hello all and welcome to the American Wrestling Federation!

That last project of mine just got too out of control so this one's going to be a little smaller in scope.

The A.W.F will have only three titles: the World Heavyweight Championship, the Americas Championship, and the A.W.F Tag Team Championship. Kinda going with an old-school '80s WWF vibe with the smaller number of titles. I'm hoping it'll be easier for record-keeping and all that. Wish me luck!

We're going to start out with all three titles vacant so that we can build up to having truly worthy wrestlers compete for them.

Champions, should they be dethroned, will automatically be booked for a rematch unless I feel that they aren't deserving of it.

Also, like in the old days, titles will have to be defended at least once in a thirty-day span or the champion will be forced to vacate his title.

So I'm going to go by the charts that I have regarding possible DQs, count-outs and the like and I'm also adding a 'house rule' that I've seen that I like in which any wrestler who's PIN hits 12 through fatigue will be ruled by the referee as being unable to compete due to blood loss or just being beaten silly. Unless stipulated ahead of time, no championship will change hand on a DQ, count-out, or stoppage for blood loss. I'm hoping that titleholders will end up with some kind of longevity as I'm not a fan of "hot potato" title changes or of wrestlers having a dozen title reigns in the span of a year. But the dice are going to decide how things work out in the end. If nothing else, the dice can make this game very interesting when they decide to go off in some unexpected direction. I'm always especially amused when you think someone's going to have an easy night and they end up taking a loss instead.

As for the roster, I'm not necessarily going into things with anything set in stone. My kid brother (ajcostello) has generously provided me with access to his entire collection of cards so there's quite a few to choose from.

So, the plan is to do two shows per 'calendar week' (a Monday show and a Friday show) and have a big Pay Per View-type super show every three months. That's the plan as of right now. I'll be starting the action in January of 2014 as the first of my old Brittney Palmer calendars that I pulled from my closet was the one from 2014.

I think that should tell everybody all they need to know, so in the words of Marty DiBergi (Rob Reiner) from one of my all-time favorite movies...

***American Wrestling Federation*** Card #1 (Jan. 3, 2014)

1) "Cowboy" Dick Hutton beats "Sweet 'n' Sour" Larry Sweeney

Sweeney looks to start things off with a forearm smash but Hutton easily blocks it and responds with a fireman's carry that's quickly followed with a shoulder tackle. An Oklahoma sideroll sets Sweeney up to get tossed into the ropes and clobbered with a clothesline on the rebound. A Cowboy backbreaker and another Oklahoma sideroll and Larry decides to get out of Dodge by rolling out to the floor. Hutton gives chase and a scuffle leads to Sweeney getting his head bounced off the barricade! The ref reprimands Dick but allows things to continue. Sweeney is rolled back into the ring with Hutton immediately going for a sleeper! Miraculously, Sweeney manages to get to the ropes to break the hold and Dick continues to press his advantage with his feard ABDOMINAL STRETCH but Larry once again shocks everyone in the building by squirming his way to the ropes to get the hold broken! An atomic drop finally puts the final punctuation on this match and Hutton gets his hard-earned win.

2) The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) beat The School of Rock (Marty Jannetty & Matt Striker)

Jannetty goes for an arm drag but is blocked. Rogers responds with a power slam and some dropkicks! A quick tag and Jannetty is the victim of the Fantastics' PRESS SLAM & SPLASH combination move! Somehow... somehow... Marty manages to kick out at the count of two! Fulton and Rogers are on top of things, however, and set Marty up for the ROCKET LAUNCHER, with Rogers going for the cover. Striker moves in to make the save but he's blocked by Fulton and Jannetty KICKS OUT AGAIN! The action continues with a FANTASTIC FLIP and another cover and yet another kick out! Marty just won't die! Getting flustered now, Tommy Rogers once again initiates the PRESS SLAM & SPLASH combo and Fulton goes for the cover as Rogers fends off Striker. Mercifully, the referee gets to a three count this time and the match ends.

3) "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Val Venis

The two wrestlers lock up in the ring and there seems to be a struggle for a bit that devolves into a shoving match. Danielson shoves Venis down to the mat and gives Val enough time to get to his feet only to get blasted out of his boots with a missile dropkick! Venis immediately rolls out of the ring to try to get his bearings. As Val is staggering around in a fog, Bryan steps out onto the apron and measures his opponent before just drilling him in the face with a running kick that puts Val down! Danielson quickly gets him back into the ring and gives him a series of roundhouse kicks that allow him to go for a cover. The ref easily gets to three and this one ends.

4) The Mountie (with "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart) beats Roderick Strong

A fist drop and a dropkick from the Mountie puts Strong down and leaves him set up for the SHOCK STICK (thanks in part to Jimmy Hart's distracting the ref) and a cover. Roderick kicks out somehow and the Mountie is stunned by this turn of events. A half-nelson buckle ram and once again the Mountie is in a position for a lateral press but, once again, only gets a two count! A SHORT CHOKE SLAM and another kick out follows.Finally, a frustrated Mountie tosses Roderick out of the ring and to the floor. Strong won't quit and moves to get back into the ring. The Mountie moves to grab Strong but the ref gets in the way, allowing Roderick to just deck the Mountie with a strong punch out of nowhere! Strong moves in with a GIBSON DRIVER and a cover as Jimmy Hart mounts the apron to cause a distraction and his megaphone falls into the ring. With the ref and his opponent distracted, Mountie picks up the weapon and drills Strong with it! Roderick gets another taste of the SHOCK STICK and the Canadian covers Strong as the ref turns around. A three count mercifully ends the match.

Intermission/ Bill Apter's "Hot Seat"

Bill introduces tonight's guest... "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant and they chat for a bit about how for Valiant it's not about any titles but rather about giving the fans a good show and having a good time. This brings out "Exotic" Adrian Street and Miss Linda. Street immediately goes into a tirade about hos it should be him getting the interview time. Valiant and Street have words and the Boogie Woogie Man puts a cap on things by challenging Street to a match right then and there! Street and Valiant start in on one another and have to be pulled apart by security personnel. Street gives Valiant a slap in the face as a parting shot as he's dragged away from the stage.

5) "Cowboy" Bob Orton (with "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert) beats Nigel McGuinness

Nigel starts the match off with a wristlock reversal and Orton then eats a short-arm lariat! McGuinness keeps up the pressure with a forearm grind and another short-arm lariat and Bob looks to escape the ring for a moment to confer with his manager. Nigel follows him out of the ring only to get caught by surprise and whipped into the barricades! The ref gives Orton a warning but he continues putting the boots to Nigel before rolling him back into the ring. a second rope power slam seals the deal for Orton, giving him an easy three count and the win.

6) The Dream Team (Greg "The Hammer" Valentine & Brutus Beefcake) beat The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell)

Valentine hits a shoulder tackle on Brunzell and the action is underway! Some patented Valentine chops put Brunzell down for a quick pin attempt but it's barely a one count. A shoulder breaker sends Brunzell scrambling to his corner where he tags in Blair. Balir and Valentine lock up and the Hammer gets thrown into the turnbuckles where he eats a running forearm smash! An airplane spin later and Greg finds himself in a Boston Crab but he manages to power through it and get to the ropes to force a break. Blair hits a dropkick and attempts a fireman's carry but Valentine blocks it and counters with a running clothesline... that Blair easily avoids. Valentine finds himself going back into the turnbuckle. As Blair charges in for whatever big move he was planning, Greg pulls the ref into harm's way and it's the ref who gets clobbered instead! Blair and Brunzell team up to catch Valentine in the BEE STING but there's no ref! THere's complete chaos for what seems like a very long time as the Killer Bees go to town on Greg until he manages to fight them off and gets Beefcake into the fight, too. Beefcake and Brunzell have a short exchange before Blair gets back into the ring to drill Brutus with a dropkick. A fireman's carry and an arm drag and Beefcake calls in help from his partner, who comes in with an attempt at a full nelson. Blair struggles to get to his corner but Valentine pulls him back into the middle of the ring and switches tactics with a body slam. Once again Blair tries to get to his own corner but he's pulled back into the ring where he eats a falling elbow hammer and some more Valentine Chops. Blair staggers into his own corner despite the Hammer trying to keep him away and Brunzell gets back involved. A pair of suplexes from Brunzell on Valentine is followed by an attempt at a head scissors but Greg isn't having it and gives Jim a scoop slam instead. Brutus comes into the match again and utilizes his studded armband to smash Brunzell in the head. Beefcake locks in a sleeper but Brunzell works his way out of it so Brutus tries another tactic and goes for the FLYING KNEE SMASH. The ref is back to his senses and is in position as Beefcake covers Brunzell for the win.

7) Bobo Brazil beats Johnny Valentine

Valentine immediately goes for a back suplex but Brazil counters with a pair of Bobo Body Slams! Bobo whips Johnny into the corner and connects with a running forearm before delivering another pair of Bobo body slams that leaves Valentine in a vulnerable position... but he kicks out at the two count. Brazil follows up with a bear hug and Valentine is in trouble. After really grinding the hold in for a bit, Brazil lays in a huge COCO BUTT that puts Valentine away for good.

Looks like a great start with lots of exciting talent on the roster... Totally stoked by that big win for The Mountie... Fun stuff!

***American Wrestling Federation*** Card #2 (Jan. 6, 2014)

1) Crossbones beats Stevie Richards

Crossbones starts with a snap mare and a kick to Richards' back then follows that with an enzuigiri. An avalanche from Crossbones leads to a pin attempt but Richards kicks out with AUTHORITY (double 6s)! A modified camel clutch is next and Richards is in deep trouble but manages to get to the ropes to break the hold. Richards is then subjected to a sit-out power bomb and another enzuigiri and he drops to the mat, allowing Crossbones to get an easy pin and the win.

2) The Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) beat The Sheepherders (Luke Williams & Butch Miller)

The bell has just barely rang when the Sheepherders hit Acid with a sneaky double team and get him in a pinning predicament straight away! Kashmere gets into the ring in time to break things up and the Kiwis continue their assault by tossing Trent out of the ring. Williams moves in to follow him out but the ref gets in between the two competitors and this allows Acid to score a huge punch to the face that sends Luke reeling. Dream Sequence 2002 on Williams by the Boyz sends Luke scrambling for his corner in an attempt to tag out but he's caught by the foot and dragged back into the center of the ring. Acid tags out to Kashmere and he comes in with a CRADLE BREAKER and a cover. Butch gets involved and saves his partner and Johnny continues his attack with the T-GIMMICK and another cover! Butch once again hits the ring to make the save and Trent is also on his way in! There's a crazy four-man brawl that sees Trent and Johnny toss Butch out of the ring at the end and they once more go on the offensive against Williams with another T-GIMMICK! With Trent keeping a lookout to prevent Butch from getting back into the ring, Johnny goes for the cover and gets the three-count he was after and thus the win!

3) Warlord (w/ "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert) beats P.N. News

Warlord starts the match with a big display of power by body slamming News with little effort and follows that up with a falling forearm smash.News is in trouble and Warlord shows his disdain for his opponent by waiting for him to get back to his feet only to toss him from the ring! Warlord follows him out and drills News into the floor with a big power bomb before taunting the fans and climbing back into the ring. The ref starts the count on News but he's got heart and struggles to get to his feet. When it looks like he won't be getting his count out win, Warlord jumps out of the ring to toss News back in. A backbreaker seals the deal and ends the match with an easy three count on News.

4) "Magnificent" Don Muraco beats Konnan

Konnan counters a back body drop from Muraco and answers with an arm drag. Muraco counters that move and retaliates with a vertical suplex! Konnan is in trouble and Muraco can sense it. He lets the man get to his feet before picking him up and planting him back onto the canvas with the HAWAIIAN HAMMER and a cover but Konnan kicks out at the count of two! Muraco hits a neckbreaker and another vertical suplex but Konnan just won't stay down. An over-the-shoulder backbreaker does the trick and, once again, Konnan is in trouble. The big Hawaiian goes for another HAWAIIAN HAMMER and gets his three count this time around.

Intermission/Bill Apter's Hot Seat

Bill's guests tonight are The Mountie and his manager "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart. Apter barely gets in a single question when Mountie and Hart launch into a tirade about their unhappiness at constantly being ranked so high in the "Most Hated" category of Bill's magazines! The Mountie grabs Bill by the tie and threatens to use the shock stick on him! It's a tense moment until Mountie's opponent from last week, Roderick Strong, comes running out to break things up! Strong and Mountie get in each other's faces and heated words are exchanged and a shouting match ensues. For once being the voice of reason, Jimmy Hart interjects himself in between the wrestlers and suggests that they settle things in the ring on our next show. Both men agree and leave the stage heading in separate directions as Apter closes the segment.

5) Mil Mascaras beats the Missing Link by DQ

Link's flailing forearms send Mil out of the ring straight away and Link gives chase. Out on the floor, Link picks up the Mexican legend and rams him, back first, into the steel ring pole not once but twice and then rolls him back into the ring. With the action back between the ropes, Missing Link nails Mil with a wild chair shot and the ref immediately calls for the bell signalling an end to the match!

6) Ted DiBiase & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beat Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon

DiBiase starts things off with a forearm smash on Mad Dog and moves in lay in some chops in the corner but Vachon counters and retaliates with a maniacal chokehold and a mouth ripper! DiBiase gets away from him and hits a body slam to great effect! He tags in Duggan who immediately comes in and hits the FLYING SPEAR! Duggan goes for the pin but Butcher gets into the action in time to break it up. With everyone distracted, Mad Dog gets back to his feet and Duggan turns his attention back to the task at hand, whipping him into the turnbuckle! Duggan climbs up onto the turnbuckles and starts raining down punches on Mad Dog until Vachon seems to wake up a bit and ends that nonsense with a reverse atomic drop! Mad Dog moves in for a mouth ripper and a snap mare and chinlock on the big New Yorker for a bit before tagging in his brother. Butcher looks to set up a back body drop but Duggan sees it coming and counters with a shoulder breaker and some wild haymakers. Duggan locks in a headlock and moves to tag DiBiase back into the action with a second rope elbow and a dropkick. Butcher sees the dropkick coming and counters with a hip toss. DiBiase looks to tag out but Vachon cuts him off and lays in a stomp. DiBiase avoids the stomp and goes for another dropkick that barely connects. He follows that up with a slap to the face and tags Hacksaw back into the match. A Tough Guy clothesline and a spinning body slam are followed by a bear hug. Butcher struggles to reach his own corner to tag out but Duggan just pulls him away. Another spinning body slam on Butcher and he's in a position to go for a cover but he only gets a two count. An Old Glory knee drop leads to another cover and yet another kick out. DiBiase gets tagged back into things and he sets up his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK! Mad Dog gets there in time to break the hold and Butcher gets a little of his wind back before Ted hits a second rope elbow and a spinning neckbreaker and this time, Butcher stays down for the three count. This one is over.

7) Exotic Adrian Street (w/ Miss Linda) beats "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant

Valiant and Street tie up and Jimmy whips his opponent into the corner before charging in but no one's home! Valiant hits the ring post with his shoulder and slides out of the ring in pain. Street gives chase but is grabbed and whipped into the barricades before Valiant starts laying in the kicks and punches. He's very nearly disqualified by the ref but he gets Street back into the ting in time. Boogie Woogie locks on a sleeper but Adrain fights his way out of it, earning him a thumb to the throat. A hip toss and an eye poke lead to Street staggering a bit and taking an ear clap. Some roundhouse punches and the Exotic One looks to put some space between them by slipping out of the ring. Valaint looks to come off the apron with a double axe handle but Street tosses a chair at him and catches his foe in the face! The ref throws a warning Street's way but the match continues with Jimmy getting rolled back into the ring. Street hits the CRUCIFIX and gets the win.

***American Wrestling Federation*** Card #3 (Jan.10, 2014)

1) "The Patriot" Del Wilkes beat Ultramantis Black (w/ Crossbones)

Ultramantis Black looks to start things off with a shoulder tackle, but the Patriot is waiting for him and locks on a double forearm clamp! The man from the Black Tea Garden is in desperate straits as his opponent follows that up quickly with a neckbreaker drop and an attempt at a cover but Ultramantis manages to kick out. Another neckbreaker drop is quickly followed by a lag drop and Ultramantis rolls out of the ring in an attempt to put some space between him and Patriot. The man in the red, white, and blue shocks everyone by going out after him and smashing him like a bug with a power bomb onto the floor! Patriot rolls back into the ring and UMB, despite some words from his ally at ringside, staggers to his feet and back into the ring in time to avoid a count-out loss. Mister Wilkes is waiting for him and greets him with an UNCLE SLAM and a cover but Crossbones dives into the ring looking to save his dark master! Patriot is one step ahead of him and easily tosses him out of the ring before turning his attention back to UMB with another UNCLE SLAM followed quickly by another cover. This time, the match ends.

2) The School of Rock (Marty Jannetty & Matt Striker) beat The Army of Darkness ("Bloody" Harker Dirge & Lord Zoltan w/ Kevin Sullivan)

Dirge apparently is not in the mood to fool around so he starts the match with a fireman press slam on Jannetty. Marty staggers toward his corner but he's dragged back into the center of the ring by Dirge, who then tags out to his partner on the orders of the Taskmaster. Zoltan comes in with a big splash and a cover but he only gets a two count for his efforts. A running knee drop and a top rope neck snap follows but he can't get the resilient Jannetty back down so he tags out to Dirge. Harker goes for a neck vise but Marty counters it from out of nowhere with a pair of suplexes! Striker gets tagged in and he goes after Dirge with a rear naked choke. Sullivan complains to the ref that Striker didn't break the hold quick enough when his man got to the ropes as Striker follows up by locking the same move on Dirge again in direct defiance of the Taskmaster! Harker barely gets to the ropes in time to save himself as Striker continues his assault with a rope-hung neckbreaker and Dirge is in serious trouble! Marty gets tagged back in with a top rope fist drop that's quickly followed by a superkick that knocks Dirge flat! Jannetty waits, crouched like a hunting cat and as soon as Dirge gets back to his feet he's hit with the ROCKER DROPPER! Marty goes for the cover as Zoltan moves in to break things up but is intercepted by Striker. The ref counts to three and this ends the match.

3) "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. (w/ "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert) beat S.D. Jones

S.D. goes for a full nelson but Orton quickly counters the move with a forearm smash and an elbow to the throat that sets Jones up for getting tossed into the ropes. The Cowboy catches him with a flying forearm as he rebounds and goes down hard. A second rope power slam seals the deal and wins the match for Orton. Gilbert is obviously very pleased with his man.

4) "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert (w/ "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr.) beat Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana

Gilbert opens up the match with a forearm smash and a knee drop that sets Cabana up for a neckbreaker clothesline that sends Colt tumbling out of the ring. Eddie lets his man Cowboy Bob know that he's in control and waves him away from Cabana. Hot Stuff exits the ring and gets ahold of Cabana, ramming him head-first into the announcers' table as the ref orders the men to get back into the ring. Back inside the ropes, Gilbert locks on a figure four leglock and really works it for as long as he can until Colt gets to the ropes. When the hold gets broken, Colt slides out of the ring again much to Eddie's frustration. Eddie waits patiently, once again motioning Orton to leave Cabana alone so that he can crawl back into the ring to avoid the count out loss. A HOT SHOT from Eddie leads to a cover and only a two count! Eddie is clearly fristrated with the ref and goes back on the attack with a series of punches that put Colt down again. Colt eats a DDT but won't give in so easily and Eddie goes for another neckbreaker clothesline that doesn't quite do what he wanted. A chop to Cabana's chest seems to wake Colt up and he retaliates with tossing Gilbert into the ropes! Cabana telegraphs his intention for a back drop and Eddie capitalizes on the mistake with a small package roll-up for an astonishingly easy three count and the victory.

Intermission/Bill Apter's Hot Seat

Bill's guest tonight is none other than the Taskmaster himself, Kevin Sullivan. The interview starts off relatively quietly until the subject of his team's loss to the School of Rock earlier tonight comes up. Sullivan goes off on a tirade about how Jannetty and Striker cheated (and not in the good way) and that the officials are, quite obviously, biased against his men! He says that there's a conspiracy afoot to hold down those like him and Ultramantis Black in favor of pushing losers like Jannetty and Striker! This brings out a very upset Marty Jannetty who moves to confront Sullivan only to get jumped by Sullivan's goons Harker Dirge, Lord Zoltan, Ultramantis Black, and Crossbones! The two masked men hold off the other wrestlers and officials who try to interfere as Sullivan and company put a vicious beating on Marty, seriously injuring him in the process. As things are finally broken up and the heels are in full retreat, Sullivan cries out that the A.W.F. has just witnessed the birth of the super-group that will be taking over the place... The Axis of Evil!

5) Konnan beat "Magnificent" Don Muraco

Muraco starts things off with a neck crank and a vertical suplex before following up with a falling elbow drop that Konnan avoids. He retaliates with some stomps to the body and tries for a body slam but Muraco blocks the move and tosses Konnan into the ropes. Muraco is too obvious in his intentions and drops his gaurd, allowing Konnan to rebound off the ropes and roll him up with a small package and just like that, the match is over! After the match, Muraco is livid and is about to launch an attack on the referee when he's stopped by the sudden appearance of "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert. Gilbert, it seems, has a proposition to make for Mister Muraco. The two men leave the ringside area conferring among themselves.

6) Pain & Suffering (Ox Baker & Necro Butcher) beat The Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell)

Blair goes to hit Necro with a forearm punch but he's immediately blocked as Necro counters with a scoop slam and a hard punch. Blair dodges the punch and retaliates with a headlock. Blair looks for a lateral guillotine but Necro counters with a series of headbutts that send Blair scurrying for his corner looking for a tag. Brunzell jumps into action with a headlock takedown before looking for a running elbow smash that Necro just shrugs off and counters with another series of headbutts. Brunzell goes down in a heap and Necro moves in for a cover but only gets a two count so he tags in his partner. Ox Baker enters the ring and hits Brunzell with a neckbreaker that sees the Bees desperate for another tag that's not to be as Baker drags Brunzell back into the ring and just drills him with the HEART PUNCH! Blair moves in to save his partner but is cut off by Necro Butcher and the ref counts to three and ends the match. He could easily have counted to five and it wouldn't have mattered.

7) Roderick Strong beat The Mountie (w/ "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart) by DQ

A hard chop to the chest to open things up actually puts the Mountie flat on his back! Strong drags him up to his feet and sets up a superplex that leads to a torture rack backbreaker. This sends the Mountie scurrying out of the ring and looking for whatever comfort that Jimmy Hart can provide him. Roderick, perhaps foolishly, follows him out only to be caught by the Mountie and gets his bell rung as his head is bounced off of one of the announce teams' tables. Back in the ring the Mountie plants Strong with a piledriver and follows that quickly with a big splash. Strong somehow survives and fights back with an attempt at a body slam that gets blocked. Mountie gives Strong a face mangler for his efforts and tosses him into the ropes. Mountie drops down as Strong rebounds but gets to his feet in time to catch him with a back body drop on his way back. Mountie then locks in a Boston Crab but Roderick won't give up and makes it to the ropes to get the hold broken somehow. A frustrated Mountie waits for Strong to get back to his feet before administering the SHOCK STICK but he's caught by the ref and immediately disquailified.
