Booker Bill Presents Legacy Wrestling

I have been wanting to start a federation based loosely on a tour format similar to that of New Japan Pro Wrestling and this is it. I will be using my B & W legends cards for this one.

The first order of business was picking a roster. Using the roll of the dice to determine the random order, competitors were picked in a draft like format until I had a roster of 30 competitors. 20 singles wrestlers and 5 official tag teams. The first competitor selected in the draft would set the ceiling for Rahl rankings. In this case, Legend’s Teams was awarded the first pick by having the highest roll of two dice and I selected Steve Williams as the first pick. Therefore, the balance of the 30 competitors would not be able to have a higher Rohl amount then Williams. [This rule only applies to the original 30 competitors. Any new competitors joining the fed down the road can have a higher rating]

Legacy Tag Team Title Round Robin Tournament

Stars and Stripes (Del Wilkes & Marcus Alexander Bagwell) bested Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) in a hot opener that ended when Bagwell pinned Fulton after a dropkick (snake eyes) 3.0

Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) dominated Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) w/Jim Cornette in a shocking upset that saw Miller pin a battered Stan Lane to end it. 2.5

Legacy Title Round Robin Tournament

Mr. “USA” Tony Atlas got past Steve Williams via DQ when Williams runs Atlas into the ring rails by the fans after dominating the action. 1.0

Harley Race was able to contain the attack of Ed “Strangler” Lewis and get the win after a PILEDRIVER. 1.5

Stars and Stripes (Del Wilkes & Marcus Alexander Bagwell) downed Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) w/Jim Cornette by disqualification when Eaton shoved the referee to the mat while the official was attempting to free Wilkes from the ropes. 1.5

Sheepherders (Luke Miller & Butch Williams) defeated Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) by disqualification when Fulton used a chair on Williams after taking the weapon from William’s own hands. 1.5

Legacy Title Round Robin Tournament

The skills of Ed “Strangler” Strangler Lewis were too much for “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas as Lewis used multiple STRANGLER’S HEADLOCKS setting up a double wristlock for the submission. 1.0

Harley Race was able to survive an intense battle with Steve Williams by disqualification when Williams used a chair to crack Race during a brawl on the floor. 2.0

Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) w/Jim Cornette over Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) by disqualification when Fulton took Cornette’s tennis racked and used it on Eaton. 1.5

The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) downed Stars & Stripes (Marcus Alexander Bagwell & Del Wilkes) to win the titles when a DOUBLE GUTBUSTER finished Bagwell while Wilkes was cut off from the save after Stars & Stripes dominated most of the contest. 1.5

There is great heat for the Sheepherders when they are presented with the title belts by Commissioner Charlie Cox

Superb showings by Handsome Harley and the Sheepherders... Great start to a fun concept!

AS a big fan of the touring system used in Japan, I really like this concept. I also thoroughly enjoyed the first show crowning the inaugural champions and congrats to Harley Race and The Sheepherders taking the gold. Looking forward to more action.

Card 02 – Big Bang Tour - Civic Centre, Portland, ME (1.94)

Jim Powers gave Warlord /Captain Lou Albano some anxious moments but in the end, Powers fell to a FULL NELSON. 2.0

The Mongols (Bepo Mongol & Geeto Mongol) made a huge comeback against Blue World Order (Blue Meanie & Stevie Richards) pinning Richards after a TOP ROPE KNEE DROP after Geeto Mongol survived back to back MEANIESAULTS earlier in the contest. 2.0

Cousin Luke thrilled the fans with a big comeback win over Cowboy Bob Orton with a HILLBILLY DROP after surviving a SUPERPLEX earlier on in the match. 2.0
Bobby Shane bested Les Thatcher with a rolling reverse cradle using the tights to secure the win. 1.5

In a wild brawl, Justin Credible used back to back to back to back SINGAPORE CANE shots to down “Wild” Bull Curry. 2.0

Bill Apter interviews Legacy Champion Harley Race on the Hot Seat to discuss his upcoming defense against Ed Lewis and Race puts himself over as the greatest on God’s Green Earth and promises that no one will take the title off of him.

Steve Williams dominated most of his encounter with “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas but ended up being disqualified when he slammed the ring steps into Atlas during a brawl on the floor. 1.5

In a shorter but action-packed contest, Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) w/Jim Cornette bested Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) when Lane pinned Rogers after a SUPERKICK but not before the sides exchanged ROCKET LAUNCHERS and Cornette made a timely distraction saving his team from defeat. The action does not end their as Cornette leads his team in a vicious attack on the Fantastics after the bell. Fulton is taken out after being run into the ring post leaving Rogers to battle three on one. Rogers takes a beating and is left in a heap after multiple blows from Cornette’s tennis racket. 2.5

Legacy Tag Team Champions Sheepherders (Luke Williams & Butch Miller) retained against Stars & Stripes (Marcus Alexander Bagwell & Del Wilkes) when Wilkes was disqualified for leg dropping Williams during a pin save attempt. 2.0

Commissioner Charlie Cox confirms with media after the match that Tommy Rogers has been injured in the post match attack by the Midnight Express and will miss some time in the ring (6 card injury). As a result of their actions, Cox has suspended the members of the Midnight Express for 8 cards along with the manger Jim Cornette. The trio has also been fined an undisclosed amount.
With two of the top teams in Legacy Wrestling out of action, opportunity knocks for the tag team division. Which tandem will take advantage?

Card 03 – Big Bang Tour - Boston Garden, Boston, MA (1.63)

Injuries: Tommy Rogers 6 cards, Suspension Midnight Express 8 cards, Jim Cornette 8 cards

Ring Announcer Gary Michael Cappetta

Love Brothers (Hartford Love & Reginald Love) defeated Blue World Order (Stevie Richards & Blue Meanie) by count-out after a DOUBLE SLAM to Meanie on the floor. 1.5

Cowboy Bob Orton let his frustrations get the best of the him against Cousin Luke when he was disqualified for using a chair across the back of Luke after Orton had dominated the action. D

Ilio Dipaolo had the fans behind as he managed to control most of the match against Ox Baker but baker was able to connect with a late clothesline and then nailed DiPaolo with a HEART PUNCH to end it. DiPaolo is removed a stretcher (6 card injury) 1.5

In a back and forth classic that saw both men use their finishers multiple times, Bryan Danielson submitted Les Thatcher with his fifth CATTLE MUTILATION of the match. 4.0

Justin Credible gained the upper hand after running “Wild” Bull Curry into the ring post and then finished him seconds later with THAT’S INCREDIBLE. After the match, a bloodied Curry attacks Credible with brass knuckles and beats him into a bloody mess. Credible is left in a heap and the stretcher comes out for the second time tonight (7 card injury) 1.0

Larry Zbyszko earned a controversial victory over “Mr. USA” Tony Atlas coming back from a PRESS SLAM AND SLAM by running Atlas into the rails on the floor and executing back to back PILEDRIVERS to pin a bloodies and dazed Atlas. 1.5

Stars and Stripes (Marcus Alexander Bagwell & Del Wilkes) bested Legacy Tag Team Champions Sheepherders (Luke Williams & Butch Miller) when Wilkes put away Miller with a UNCLE SLAM while Bagwell prevented the pin save to win the titles. 2.5

Ed “Strangler” Lewis downed Legacy Champion Harley Race when Race was disqualified for shoving the referee during a brawl on the floor after several minutes of back and forth action. 1.0

Big action tonight with Stars and Stripes claiming the Tag Team Titles from Sheepherders. The roster continued to be trimmed by injury with both Justin Credible and Ilio Dipaolo doing the stretch job. Both are expected to miss time from the ring. Ed Lewis and Harley Race appear to be well matched and set for series of encounters with the Legacy Title hanging in the balance.

Card 04 – Legacy Indy Wrestling - Platt High School Gym, Meiden, CT

Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black bested Backseat Boyz (Trent Acid & Johnny Kashmere) when Black finished Acid with God’s Last Gift. D

Konnan had control of his match with Colt Cabana when Cabana rolled through a deathjump cross body and cradled Konnan for the three count. 1.0

Young Bucks (“Mr. Action Replay” Matt Jackson & “Slick” Nick Jackson) downed No Remorse Corps (Austin Aries & Davey Richards) in a fast paced back and forth encounter after back to back MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCKS while Nick Jackson blocked the pin save. 1.5

C.W. Anderson works the arm of The Sandman and picks up the disqualification victory when Sandman runs Anderson shoulder first into the ring post in an ironic twist. 1.0

Lightning Mike Quackenbush counters a double leg slam and nails Chris Hero with a running palm strike for the win after just two moves! D

Ricky Landell stunned Brodie Lee with a FISHERMAN’S BUSTER followed by a TOP ROPE FIST DROP in a shocker. D

PG 13 (Wolfie D. & J.C. Ice) defeated Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophidian) by disqualification when Amasis is disqualified when he takes a chair from Ice and cracks him with it. 2.0

Mike Quackenbush wins the Legacy Indy Title Battle Royal. It is mayhem from the outset. Amasis is able to save his partner Ophidian from elimination at the hands of Brodie Lee. The Backseat Boyz double up on Tyler Black with a Backseat Driver but Black comes back and a superkick sends Johnny Kashmere to the floor for the first elimination. The battle continues to rage. Davey Richards has Matt Jackson in trouble and Nick Jackson charges to the rescue but Richards backdrops him from contention. Richards then turns his attention back to Matt Jackson and soon both Bucks are out of the match. Trent Acid dumps Ricky Landell from contention. Austin Aries battles Colt Cabana and tosses him to the floor for the next elimination. It is several minutes before the next elimination that occurs when The Sandman battles Amasis but Ophidian comes up from behind and dumps Sandman to the floor! The Osirian Portal continue to work as a unit and focus on Wolfie D. but he is joined by his own partner J.C. Ice for a tag team battle. Meantime, Brodie Lee catches Anderson with back to back BIG BOOTS and then dumps him to the floor. Trent Acid connect with an ACID BOMB on Davey Richards and Austin Aries is not there soon enough to save his partner and Richards is eliminated. Aries and Acid brawl and a backdrop sends Aries to the floor in a shocker. Chris Hero hits Tyler Black with a Hero Stomp and dumps him to the floor for the elimination. Amasis gets the best of Acid and manage to hit EGYPTIAN CONNIPTION for the elimination. Lightning Mike Quackenbush ties up Black with a Chikara Special and then eliminates him from the match. Amasis attempt to save Ophidian from being eliminated from J.C. Ice but backdropped from the match instead. PG 13 then team up for a BACKRBEAKER/ELBOW on Ophidian and he joins his partner at ringside. More battling around the ring. Chris Hero comes off the top with a deathjump cross body to Brodie Lee and then tosses him to the floor. Konnan takes on J.C. Ice against the ropes and looks to have the elimination when Wolfie D. sneaks in from behind and dumps Konnan to the floor. With just four left, it is the former tandem of the Super Friends (Chris Hero & Mike Quackenbush) against PG 13. Hero and Quackenbush dominate but cannot keep the teamwork up and turn on each other. Quackenbush locks in a CHIKARA SPECIAL and then eliminates Hero. Quckenbush is left two on one against PG 13 but has the fans support. Running Palm Strike connects on Wolfie D. D is about to go over the top when J.C. Ice charges and collides with his own partner sending both members of PG 13 to the floor. Quackenbush is your winner and the first Legacy Indy Champion!

It was nice to give the B & W Indy sets some love and I could not believe that I rolled a snake eyes of the Battle Royal Chart which gave us a perfect ending to the main event. Quckenbush is the first champion and his first challenger with be arch nemesis Chris Hero. Also on the next Legacy Indy card, five teams will compete in a five team gauntlet for the Legacy Indy Tag Team Titles.

Just getting caught up and nice to see you adding the Indy guys to the scene. That indeed was an awesome ending to the Legacy Indy Title Battle Royal with Quack taking the title with a double elimination of PG 13. Imagine if JC Ice and Wolfie D were the last two left? They may have split the title in two or worse had it converted into hubcaps

As for the Legacy action, it was wild to see the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette suspended for 8 shows but it was also well deserved for what they did to Tommy Rogers. I'm liking that Justin Credible vs. Wild Bull Curry feud. Good stuff as always bookerbill.

The Battle Royal was an absolute blast... Although I would've preferred to see Hero emerge victorious... Great performance by Quack...

I've never seen an actual 'Battle Royal' chart... How does it play into the match itself? Sounds like it could lead to some fun possibilities...

Also very cool that you're teaming up Aries and Richards as the NRC... Unfortunate they lost their first bout to the Bucks... Hope to see more of them...
