Global Wrestling Alliance (The Story of The Celluloid Heroes of 1960 - A Fed in Black, White & Gray):

The Background:
-------------------------------

Commissioner Ed "Strangler" Lewis has put together a dream promotion - The Global Wrestling Alliance, consisting of a roster of 36 hand picked wrestlers (who will also comprise 18 tag teams) during the year 1960, for an Owner who for the time being, wishes to remain anonymous.

A combination of domestic as well as international stars who for one reason or another (and in some cases for multiple reasons) have decided to abandon their current federations for the opportunities and promises offered by Lewis's brand new promotion which include and/or involve; ultimate competition, money, prestige, the spotlight, womanizing, extreme pomposity, for a few wrestlers - the starting of careers, unleashing severe amounts of pain and savagery, avoiding underworld entanglements, one wrestler deep in hiding, proving themselves, in some cases to mentor,  as well as two most very improbable returns to the ring. They range in ages from 16 thru 66.

The Venue:
----------------------

All of the bouts are being held at The Sunnyside Gardens Arena in Queens, New York. Apparently the arena, as of very recently is now strictly a professional wrestling arena - even closed off to professional boxing. All Commissioner Lewis knows about it is that The Owner has made arrangements to make it so.

The Challenge:

In order to become either the inaugural World Champion or the World Tag Team Champions, it's simple (according to Commissioner Lewis)...just dont loose.

The last face and heel singles wrestlers and tag teams to remain undefeated will square off against each other to become the inaugural champions of the GWA.

The Owner - If you want to give...that dear friend of your's one more chance at glory...where absolutely nobody else...on this planet will now...then above all else...you must sign...Him...

Ed Strangler Lewis - Him?...Wait...You Mean...That Him?...He'll never switch from the old fed...there's just no way...

The Owner - If you want you're man here...as well as a job at all...then you...have to sign...Him...we both know...You...are the only man he will listen to...so...find...a way...

Him - (Thinks longer ) - I'm in...but it's gonna cost him...and not just cash...

Strangler Lewis - He knows...And I know the politics is startin to get to you at The NWA...

Him - (exhales deeply) - If it wasn't you...doin the askin...

Strangler Lewis - I know...and even He knows...might even be why he approached me in the first place actually...

Him - Also...He's gotta let not only John...but Jim back...otherwise...ain't no deal...

Butcher Vachon - Thank God It ain't one a dem good wrestlers...this will be an easy tune up for my tag action...as I tune up this clown...gonna be just...loads...a fun.

Red Bastien - The competition in this fed is going to be my hugest test. I'm very grateful I'm starting off against this particular Vachon, hopefully...I can build from here.

Buddy Rogers - I'm stunned that they are pitting me...I mean us...against some...tall rookie...I'll let Georgie handle that bozo...and that piece of ancient history John Pesek!...John Pesek!...he's like Civil War veteran old...I'm personally putting his ass way...way back...into retirement...

Gorgeous George - What a freakshow we have for our first opponents...they're so ugly they should just loose automatically...and if they so much as touch...let alone mess up my hair...I'm gonna kill them...

Cherie Dupre - Rogers is the key to the tag titles...no doubt about it...my Georgie is only naturally getting better and better but The Nature Boy is going to be just what I need...I mean we need...

John Pesek - If we can handle these two... tremendous bags of hot air...then we can handle anybody...I can't wait until everybody gets a load of Giant Baba...he's going to be a force to be reckoned with...

Giant Baba - Training and preparing with Mr. Pesek has been just what I've been looking for...I am most grateful...he has a no nonsense focus and most importantly...he has honor...not like how it was with Rikidozan and that... increasingly shady dojo of his...

Mosca - This former sumo wrestler is supposed to be one of the best...and some even say the best wrestler in the world...but to me...he looks like my first victory...but just to be safe...gotta ask my tag partner to be in my corner...to keep an eye on this suspicious lookies rookie of his...cause I ain't...losing this match...

I always appreciate you being in the seats.

For this fed I am trying a few different things, in scope and in delivery.

Like how you have your GWFZ fed as your "fun" fed, this one became mine and I decided to try posting this one.

Much more to come as we see who else is on Lewis's roster as well as what they may bring to the table in their quests.

After getting headbutted, bitten and choked by Butcher Vachon inside the ring, Red Bastien eventually has to flee to regroup. Outside the ring Bastien makes a total match changing, brawling comeback that stuns Vachon enough to set up his finisher.

Red Bastien ( fatigue 0 ) defeated Butcher Vachon ( fatigue 2 ) via Pinfall. Bastien pinned Vachon courtesy of his second ATOMIC DROP finisher in a row.

2.  Tag Team - Two Gods Blonde - Nature Boy Buddy Rogers & Gorgeous George with Cherie Dupre  vs  Tag Team - Mission Impossible - John Pesek & (rookie) Giant Baba:

Mission Impossible stuck to the plan and made a statement, they isolated Rogers inside the ring, never letting him tag out once; as Baba ragdolled him all over the place and Pesek almost forced him to submit to his DOUBLE WRISTLOCK. But after countering Pesek with a lariat off the turnbuckle, Buddy Rogers proceeds to save the match for Two Gods Blonde and a beaming Cherie Dupre.

Buddy Rogers ( 6 fatigue and serious blood loss ) & Gorgeous George ( 0 fatigue ) defeated John Pesek ( 1 fatigue ) & Giant Baba ( 2 fatigue & 1 unsuccessful pin save ) via Pinfall. Rogers, grinning ear to ear, pinned Pesek courtesy of his Dropkicks as George chop-blocked a desperate to interfere Giant Baba.

3.  Rikidozan with (rookie) Antonio Inoki  vs  Angelo Mosca (rookie) with Pepper Gomez

Rikidozan quickly takes Angelo Mosca apart and even proceeds to insultingly explain his actions to his apprentice Antonio Inoki by yelling them out to him step by step for all to hear, completely infuriating Mosca as well as Pepper Gomez. Gomez saves Mosca from Rikidozans HIPLOCK but gets tossed by Rikidozan over to Inoki who tosses Gomez out of the ring as Rikidozan hits his stronger finisher.

Rikidozan ( 0 fatigue ) defeated Angelo Mosca ( 2 fatigue ) via Pinfall. Rikidozan pinned Mosca with ease courtesy of his THUNDEROUS CHOPS primary finisher as Pepper Gomez furiously brawled with Antonio Inoki outside the ring.
