Potentially sad news from Kevin Harvey this morning via Blog post linked below. The short of it being that the tapings in July could be the last for RISE. Ticket sales have been tepid and, like most Indys, it's been a very show-to-show basis financially. I was disappointed I wouldn't be able to make this round due the impending birth of our first child (due 7/4), but this really sucks. If you're within 100 miles of Naperville, hell even farther, I encourage you to go to this show. It's worth it. $20 for GA, $50 for front row. Alternatively, buy a DVD or bluray, or stream a show. RISE was really doing something special and Kevin is a passionate hard-working guy that hasn't made a dime from promoting the shows. Over 30 women with RISE appearances and/or seminar experience have appeared on the SHIMMER roster. Shotzi Blackheart has appeared on Impact, Delilah Doom has seen her star grow and is a champion in multiple organizations, including RISE & SHIMMER. It'd be a shame to see them shutter. Support if you can. rise-wrestling.com/2018/06/25/some-rise-some-fall-a-very-open-letter-from-rise-owner-kevin-harvey/

I want to go but last week I got some devastating news from my podiatrist that my broken right foot is healing much slower than expected and my toes had to be tied together for at least the next 3-4 weeks. I just can not physically drive to California with this bad foot right now, but I will buy a VOD from them this week because I want to support them- especially if they are doing shows in California as there is chance I could at least go to a future RISE show there once my right foot finally heals.

Bummer on the foot, Vegas. Hope it heals soon.

Damn, Vegas that's horrible! Here's to hoping you're on a quicker mend now.

Here's an observation I've had about Rise for a little while now. It seems the wrestling shows aren't too much about providing a stage for the young, up and coming wrestler to keep learning. They look like a regular wrestling company trying to put on the best show they can and make money. The reason I think this is how many big name stars they have been using. I know you need a few good names to attract people to your show but now nearly everyone is pretty well known and not as many newcomers.
As far as his running of the company I of course know nothing. It takes a lot of money though. He's got a streaming service, just lowered prices to $10 on dvd/blu ray. Buy one if you want to help support them. I hope they can continue on. If they are done after next month I hope the last shows are released for purchase.
