NO, THE GLADIATORS DID NOT WIN THE GLADIATOR CUP

Fans immediately rushed solar media to refute the Dark Menace and his claim that Siege and Fist are the real Gladiator Cup winners following their successful title defense vs Royal Uprising.

The GWF Powers That Be say not so fast. Royal Uprising will remain recognized as 2137 Gladiator Cup Winners much to the dismay of Commissioner Menace and the Gladiators. “It doesn’t matter what they say.” says Menace. “History is written by winners and when the Gladiators take over the GWF, I’ll personally and officially change that result myself!”

The news gets worse for the Gladiator champions as their next challengers have been named.

“I’ve got a problem with the Gladiators!” says Shayne! “See, I’ve become good friends here with the Basilisk. And he tells me he’s not too happy with the Gladiators taking his jungle home from him. He needs some help getting some good old fashioned revenge!” he adds. “And the good news is we’re the new no. 1 contenders to those GWF TAG TEAM TITLES. So get ready Siege! Get ready Fist! Because there is only one left standing after SHOWDOWN!”

THE TRIAL OF GODSEND BEGINS SOON

The wounds suffered by FDF Tradition may soon heal, but the pain and suffering for Godsend may just be beginning. He remains in custody and in solitary confinement in a prison on Castilex aka New Aethra, charged with the murder of Commander Sam. He is guarded by Aethran Soldiers 24 hours a day.

Commissioner Dark Menace has decided to allow Godsend to wrestle while in custody and on trial once he returns from his injuries.

When Godsend wrestles he is led to the ring in shackles by Aethran Soldiers. His face covered by a mask. He is released from his shackles only for the duration of his matches. Win, loss or draw, he is immediately put back into his shackles, removed from the ring and returned to his cell on Aethra.

Making things worse for Godsend (and possibly better for Endgame and others), the Aethran Overmaster has put a gag order on Godsend for as long as his trial lasts. That means no more persuasive interviews - or any mic time at all for Godsend in the ring. The Overmaster has completely censored his enemy!

How will the trial of Godsend go? Will a jury of his peers find him guilty? Or will Godsend have his name cleared like he so confidently predicted? IT’S UP TO YOU, PROMOTERS! Stay tuned on how to become an actual juror in the Greatest Trial In The Galaxy! Coming soon!

***JURY SELECTION HAS BEGUN FOR THE UPCOMING TRIAL OF GODSEND***

We need 12 of the Greatest Jurors In The Galaxy! You will hear opening arguments from the prosecution (Endgame) and the defense (in a brilliant move of strategy, Godsend has chosen to defend himself, giving him a loophole around his gag order installed by the Overmaster).

You will hear about evidence collected from the scene of the crime, hear testimony from witnesses then finally hear closing arguments. Then it’s YOUR time to decide the fate of Godsend by VOTING whether he is guilty or innocent! It’s up to you, jurors!

Godsend faces life in an Aethran prison and possibly the death penalty! It’s the Greatest Trial In The Galaxy!

This, by the way, is a fantastic story. Having just gotten into 2087 I am really enjoying Commander Sam so it was wild to see his fate played out like that in the GFITG.

The only time I got selected for jury service I never got to see the inside of a court. Very disappointed. I hope you will give me that chance this time around. Also can you provide me something to show my employers and get the requisite paid time off work!

In high school, I took a Law class and we got to put on two trials. The first one, I was the second hitman who was driving the car on a botched hit. My partner was on trial, so I got to play a rich playboy who was really a hitman. Since the victim had loss her memory, I went to the hospital she was in and played her secret affair coming to visit her only to real try to kill her again. Fun times! Btw... my hitman partner was found not guilty by another class of jurors.

The classroom was built to look like a courtroom. One of the best classes I ever took, as three classes came to watch us put on the trial. Teacher gave me an A for being funny, as I was hitting on the prosecutor by calling her babe and honey. The teacher was grinning but as the judge had to say "Mr. Newman... please refrain from the flirtatious remarks or comments."
