Really looking forward to it too.
I get to see great wrestling, hang out and talk wrestling, see/meet one of my favorite people in wrestling (Colt Cabana), this will be a good day.. oh but I get a day away from work and home? ..and a brewery too!?!

Just woke up after managing a little sleep on the train. Currently in Kansas. The train is 3 hours behind schedule so I should arrive in Kansas City sometime by late morning. I saved a lot of money taking the train but I think in the future I will try to fly instead.

It is not really too bad, just a long trip and difficult for me to sleep in a train chair. One thing I really liked was the good WiFi (except for when the train was up in the Colorado mountains and during a thunderstorm in northern New Mexico) as I was able to stream this week's ROH and the WWE Network with no problem and that helped kill alot of time. While I don't think I would take the same train route as I just completed anytime soon again, I would probably take a different route like along the Gulf Coast or somewhere just to see some different sights. I just checked into my hotel in KC and am drinking a beer called Cloud Hopper (an IPA from neighboring Lawrence, Kansas.) I plan to go to the game tonight (I don't have a ticket but I doubt the Tigers/Royals are sold out.) I was hoping to tour Arrowhead since the stadiums are basically in the same parking lot, but Arrowhead only does tours on Fridays and Saturdays. Tomorrow I am going to the National WWI Museum, see the sights of downtown KC, and eat some KC BBQ before boarding the Greyhound (about to buy my ticket for that now.) |
