Beneath the Mat
With the current wrestling boom and so many of the wrestlers joining factions we here at BtM are listing the factions from best to least.
Kingdom
What is there to say. Simply the best. The ones who set the bar for all other factions. Led by the benevolent and glorious Godsend.
Godsend Lady Godsend Demon Godsend Eydilon Sentinel (Dominion) Moog (Dominion) Bishop Hell Ghena the Executioner (The Executioners) Witness the Executioner (The Executioners) Loyalist Krud (Natives) Ygorr (Natives)
Future Shock
Even with the likely loss of Chaos Supreme they are still a force to be reckoned with.
Magnus Colby (manager) Prime Colonizer Adam Traitor Darkest Justice Minister of War (Gladiators of Destiny) Mayhem Unleashed (Gladiators of Destiny) Splatter
Gladiators of Aethra
Still the head banging war mongers of pro wrestling.
Spike (leader) Paralyze Turmoil Probation (Gladiators) Fist (Gladiators) Thrash
Church of Truth
Seeing into the future and spreading their own type of gospel.
Oracle (leader) Total Anarchy Tortured Soul (Colossal Connection) Agony (Colossal Connection) Zealos
Empire of Fear
Have to give the devil his due. Decent group that forever will be in the Kingdom's shadow.
Maramus (manager) Nightmare The Tall Man Necros (Death Dealers) Coven Black (Death Dealers) Sinful Captain Crossbones
Fighting Titans
As much a part of wrestling as the ring. In fact Lord Nexus might have been around when the ring was invented.
Lord Nexus (manager) Perfect Specimen Kenji (Titan Samurai) Giant Azuma (Titan Samurai) Faller Taichi
FDF
Barely holding on. We assumed Rose/Elina is still part of the faction but who knows. No one here wanted to go ask her. Lord Nexus might be old but is a spring chicken next to Commander Sam.
Commander Sam (co-manager) Massif (co-manager) Tank Mortar (FDF Tradition) Climber (FDF Tradition) Rose
Diamond Elite
Three men who have been thru wars together.
Sly Drury Patch Skiver
Galactic Rebels.
Small but dangerous.
Doomsayer Evolution (Wild Boys) Revolver (Wild Boys)
Asylum
Kooky villains who can be dangerous.
Tricks Harley Q (valet/manager) King Tux Disciple of Terror (Evil Henchmen) Swerve (Evil Henchmen)
Animen of Andromeda
They have roots to the good old days but seem to be fading. Top heavy for sure.
Wolf Lope Amazonia (manager/body guard) Catfight Plethador Red Talon Chameleon
Constellation Incorporated
A revolving door so far for Henry's stable. Could he finally have stability with CI's roster.
M.H. Henry (manager) Davey Boy Smith Jr. (Hart Foundation 2.0) Teddy Hart (Hart Foundation 2.0)
Justice Society of Andromeda
Status unknown thus they end up at the bottom.

Looks like the FDF will need to go on a major recruiting drive if they want to remain viable... Liking the framework of the Empire of Fear... And the tag team of Ghena and Witness is really cool too!

Card #173 - Warrior Village Coliseum
Totalis is frantically looking for Commissioner Eydilon in the back. He's walking the halls, opening doors and asking everyone if they have seen him. Someone asks if Totalis checked Eydilon's office. Totalis looks like he is about to smack the guy. "That's the first place I looked you numbskull." Finally someone points down the hall and we see Eydilon putting some food from the crafts table onto his plate.
Totalis: There you are. I've been looking all over for you. We need to discuss my place in the Omega Cup and this crazy talk about Lance being in.
Eydilon: (looks confused) What are you babbling about? You are not in the Omega Cup.
Totalis: (looks like he is about to lose it) WHAT? The other day I was in your office. We were talking. I said the Omega Cup still had an opening that needed filled. You looked at me and said "not anymore, it's been filled". Do you remember that?
Eydilon: Yes I do. And the truth is it had been filled.
Totalis: Yes, by me!
Eydilon: (trying not to laugh) Oh, is that what this is all about? You thought I meant by you? (Totalis nods his head and has an 'well yea' look on his face) I'm sorry. I meant that earlier it had been decided Lance At-Las would be the eighth and final entrant. But tell you what. We could use another match for the PPV. You want it?
Totalis: I'd rather be in the Cup. I'm made for tournaments and titles. But yea I will take it.
Eydilon: Fine. And funny that you mentioned titles as you will defend your SCWA title against Big Evil.
With that Eydilon walked off, eating his food, while Totalis was left standing there stammering about how he already beat the big goof.
Psyclone beat Turmoil by pinfall in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
Much like his match against Paralyze this was an insane savage battle. The crowd loved it and were on their feet from start to finish. Psyclone had control early and tossed Turmoil to the outside. On the floor the Gladiator gained the advantage when he kept throwing Psyclone into the barricade and then the ring steps. The action went back into the ring but it didn't stay in there for long.
Turmoil flung Psyclone into the crowd. A fan tried to attack Psyclone but Aethran security quickly intervened and escorted him away. Turmoil performed a delay suplex onto a row of chairs. Followed by an unsuccessful pin attempt. From there things became total bedlam. The two men battered each other using their own bodies as weapons. Both men were busted open and bleeding. While it looked like the match would end numerous times it also seemed like it would never end. But end it did when Psyclone set up a table next to the stage and nailed a Hardcore Titan Drop off the stage thru the table.
Even though their man lost the Aethran crowd cheered as they saw a war and the opponent performed like a warrior. As the ref was checking on both men on the floor the Castilex Hardcore Champion, Fist, walked out onto the stage with the belt. He starred down at Psyclone. It seems their title match will happen sooner rather than later.
A dark sedan pulls into the back. The driver gets out and opens the back door. Out walks none other than Perfect Specimen. The camera follows as he makes his way thru the halls till he stops to sign some autographs and take some pics.
The announcers talk about how while Spec has been gone he filmed a movie cameo and also made appearances at dozens of orphanages. He met with orphans and did some fund raising. Sadly there are so many orphans from not only numerous wars but due to the after affects of Black Death.
Hart Foundation 2.0 w/M.H. Henry over Shooting Star & Astarte by pinfall when Teddy Hart pinned Shooting Star after an Avalanche Canadian Destroyer.
A real good tag match. Both teams made good tags and used solid double teaming. When the Foundation hit Hart Attack it looked to be over but Star made a desperate kick out. A bit later when Teddy hit his finisher that was the end of the match.
Perfect Specimen walks into the Titans locker room and finds Lord Nexus talking to his son. There is a bunch of hand shaking, back patting and laughing. Specimen says he enjoyed his time away but missed wrestling. Now it's time to get ready for the Omega Cup. He plans on repeating as winner and becoming the first double winner. Lord Nexus says he has just the opponent for Spec for tonight. When Spec inquires who it is Lord Nexus simply looks over at his son. Spec smiles and says that will work. Sir Nexus says he is ready and hopes Spec isn't too rusty.
Thrash beat Chameleon by pinfall to retain the Castilex Ladies Championship.
This was a competitive match...for about 30 seconds. Then the Gladiator went to work demolishing her opponent. A Gladiator Piledriver ended the match. The fans were happy with the one sided affair.
Perfect Specimen over Sir Nexus by submission.
Specimen did look rusty early on. Sir was dictating the pace and had the former champion in trouble. But this was not Spec's first rodeo and he slowly started finding his groove. He applied Pinnacle of Success but was too close to the ropes. Nexus grabbed the bottom one and got the break. Sensing the end was near Spec pulled Nexus to the middle of the ring and applied his finisher again. Sir Nexus tried holding out but eventually he tapped out.
The Executioners beat Titan Samurai by pinfall when Ghena the Executioner pinned Kenji following an Evolution to retain the Castilex Tag Team Championship.
The champions attacked the former champs before the opening bell. They tossed Giant Azume out of the ring. They had an early advantage and Ghena worked on Kenji. However Kenji fought back to get in some offense. The screen becomes split as we see Sur watching the action in back on a monitor. Azuma had not made it to his team's corner so Kenji could not tag out. This let Ghena regain the advantage. The champs used frequent tags to stay fresh as they wore Kenji down. Ghena hit his finisher and the match was over. But The Executioners were not finished. They each grabbed a chair and blasted Azuma on the floor. Then they got in the ring and attacked Kenji. After multiple chair shots the placed Kenji's arm in the chair fold. Witness the Executioner held him down while Ghena came off the top rope with his chair and slammed it down on the other chair. Kenji screamed out in pain as he floped around on the canvas.

Gotta say that I'm enjoying the unlikely pairing of Ghena and Witness as The Executioners... And I really like that little twist on canon by having them cripple Kenji (instead of Azuma)... Should be very interesting to see how this develops... Lots of fun, as always!

Should be very interesting to see how this develops... Lots of fun, as always! Thanks. When I decided the Kingdom needed a shake up I figured Black Death would go but needed a new tag team. Ghena had been on a bit of a roll but who to team him with. Then remembered Witness was in limbo. I liked old school gimmicks like Executioners and they fit the Kingdom theme. As far as Kenji the match ended in doubles and I am not looking to split Titan Samurai yet. So this seemed a good way to introduce the new card. Thanks for reading and the comments.

Hey OTE! Card #173 was really good Thrash steamrolled past Chamaeleon in a laugher! The Executioners breaking Kenji's arm with that chair (or has it been confirmed yet if his arm got broken?) either way Azuma must be thinking PAYBACK is in order for his fallen brother. Great write ups as always on_the_edge !

Card #174 - Janus Star Center
This is the final card before the Omega Cup PPV. The quarter final matches are being revealed as the final card is announced.
- Godsend vs Nightmare. A quarter final match between two men that can not stand each other. Maramus of course will not be allowed at ring side. How will that affect the Empire member.
- Monolith vs Shayne. A quarter final match between two of the best GWF has to offer. Shayne's title will not be on the line.
- Perfect Specimen vs Wolf. A quarter final match that pits one of the young breed against one of the old guard.
- Crossfire vs Lance At-Las. A quarter final match between former stable mates from the Soldiers Of Light. There is some talk Lance might get a pass into the semi finals. This is because Crossfire has not been seen for some time and it is possible he does not show at the PPV.
- Helsin, Burning Man and Rose vs Death Dealers and Sinful. This is a mixed six person tag match with the GWF Intergalactic Tag Team Championship on the line.
- Totalis vs Big Evil. This is for the SCWA Heavyweight Championship and is the rubber match in GWF for these two.
As far as tonight, Cosmic Woman will face Lady Godsend in singles action and in the main event Lope will defend the GWF Intergalactic Championship against the trickster and leader of Asylum, Tricks.
Demon Godsend beat Faller by pinfall.
The Kingdom member had his hands full with the large Titan member. A couple times it seemed he might be upset but he found a way to pull out the win after a Face of Death.
Captain Crossbones defeated Uranus by pinfall.
The Captain took control early and dominated the match. To his credit Uranus refused to go down easy. He kept kicking out of pin attempts. When the not so good Captain hit his Black Flag finisher it seemed the match was over. However once again Uranus kicked out. The fans started getting behind him. They tried to will him to a comeback and a victory. It just wasn't meant to be. Crossbones hit Death in Space and finally he picked up the win.
A promo from Psyclone talking about how he wonders when he will get a title shot for Fist's Castilex Hardcore Championship. He is willing to fight Fist anywhere, anytime in any kind of match.
Hart Foundation 2.0 w/M.H. Henry over FDF Tradition by pinfall when Davey Boy Smith Jr. pinned Climber after a Doomsday Destroyer.
Climber had Smith in trouble early due to his agility and speed advantage. Eventually Smith used his power to gain control. He took Climber to his team's corner and pounded on him with mounted punches before tagging out. Teddy went to work and Climber had no answer for his offense. Teddy tagged Smith who placed Climber on his shoulders. Teddy climbed the corner and hit his Doomsday Destroyer. Smith made the cover and the Foundation had an impressive win. M.H. Henry grabbed a mic and joined his men in the ring.
M.H. Henry: I told you I finally had winners. So I'm putting teams on notice. Whoever is the GWF Intergalactic Tag Team champions after Omega Cup, my men are coming for you and the titles. It is time for Constellation Incorporated to have gold once again.
Uranus is walking down a hall when he stops short. The camera pans to show Harley Q standing in front of him. He starts to say something when she slaps him across the face. He looks shocked and terrified as he places a hand over his cheek where she slapped him. She stares at him for a bit then grabs his wrist and pulls his hand away from the cheek. She leans in and kisses him softly on the cheek. Then she lets go of his wrist and continues down the hall. Uranus looks confused then slowly begins to smile as he places his hand back on his cheek.
Lady Godsend vs Cosmic Woman ended in a time limit draw.
These two ladies put on a good show as they went toe to toe. Cosmic hit an early Shooting Star but barely got a two count. From there most of her offense was cosmic blasts and Superwoman Punches. She is still new to wrestling thus a slightly limited arsenal. Meanwhile Lady Godsend refused to lose. After she and Godsend lost their recent tag match she was determined to pick up the win. Unfortunately time ran out on both of them. It goes without saying this is not the last we've seen between these two.
Tricks was in the ring waiting for Lope and the main event when the Jumbotron showed a replay of the interaction between Uranus and Harley Q. At the slap he started pointing and laughing. The laughing stopped abruptly at the kiss. Tricks seemed to be steaming. When Lope finally came down and got in the ring Tricks unleashed his anger and attacked him.
Lope beat Tricks by pinfall to retain the GWF Intergalactic Championship.
Tricks advantage was short lived. Lope went to work and dominated the clown prince. The champion tossed Tricks to the floor then ran the ropes and launched into a suicide dive. Tricks almost didn't beat the ten count. In hindsight he should have stayed out of the ring for as soon as he got back in Lope hit his finisher, Howl of the Wolf, and the match was over.
