I'd have a hard time picking one of his umbrella feds as my favorite. Maybe Extreme Chikara Wrestling. Excellent choice my friend TTX! And the Shimmer division is getting better and better as well.

Thanks for the comments on Lucha Underground guys, I really appreciate it. When I had Catrina set up those bad odds for Mil Mascaras, Prince Puma and The Mack I never expected to see two of the three make it to the end let alone winning it. It was also cool to see Sammy Guevara have a great debut. As for The Mountie, can we get some love for Austin Aries? He overcame gratuitous Sherri Martel interference and scored probably the biggest win he has ever had in my fed. Mountie, Schmountie Just kidding guys, I love that you have both your favorite talents and even favorite feds in my LOW universe. The one I feel bad for is Tony Atlas as he was on his way to getting a title rematch with The Mountie but instead will have to go after Aries if he wants to regain the title. I'm sure that The Mountie will be looking for his rematch as well. Stay tuned for a weekend edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling...

LOW All-Star Wrestling (Episode 82) - WMC-TV5 Studios - Memphis, TN (Card #1231)
Announcers: Lance Russell & Dave Brown
Newswire: The program opened with footage from IWA On The Mat, the syndicated television broadcast of the IWA, from Chicago Ridge, IL (Card #1229) where “A Double” Austin Aries defeated The Mountie to win the LOW Tex-Arkana title. A post-match promo saw Aries vowing to defend the belt against all challengers beginning with S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones on LOW All-Star Wrestling, a match negotiated by his manager Percy Pringle III. Aries said that Jones can be dangerous and cited his recent win over Steve Regal in Pacific Coast Wrestling (Card #1225) as well as his regular top spot in the ASW rankings as reasons for giving him the title opportunity. He finished by saying that Jones, who has challenged for the belt in the past, will be the first of his many victims in defense of the title.
The recent battle between the Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) and Bullet Club representatives Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and Terex was discussed before some huge news was revealed. The Capitol Wrestling Alliance has made a successful bid to host a rematch between the two sides which will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY (Card #1235) Undisputed Era, representing the IWA, will look to even the score against the Bullet Club, representing Kings Road United, on that big night at MSG. Also signed for the show are the return from injury of PWI Invitational Cup winner Davey Richards who teams with Barry Windham to battle New Age Horsemen members “Ravishing” Rick Rude & Curt Hennig, the Rock n’ Roll Express defend the LOW World tag team titles against the Dream Team (Brutus Beefcake & Greg “The Hammer” Valentine) and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles defends the LOW World Heavyweight title in a rematch against Bruiser Brody.
After reviewing additional footage of Fred Blassie winning the LOW International Heavyweight title from Giant Baba in Tokyo, Japan (Card #1227), announcer Lance Russell attempted to throw it to Dave Brown to run down the day’s lineup when he was interrupted by an all too familiar face – the “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart!
JH: “Lance Russell, this is the greatest day of my life, ha ha ha ha! I am right back here in Memphis all the way from Pacific Coast Wrestling to make some news and you are here to witness it!”
LR: “Alright, Jimmy, what is it now? You don’t even have anybody from the First Family appearing here today.”
JH: “Lance, baby, you and I have known each other for a long time, and I have never been one to lie to you…”
LR: “Oh boy, now that is a stretch Jimmy.”
JH: “Listen, Lance, this is huge news and I’m giving you the exclusive scoop. I have signed my boys, The Warlord & Rhino, to face those pretty boys the Midnight Rokers, Stan Lane & Marty Jannetty, on the next PCW card at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA (Card #1236). The Rockers cost us the LOW World tag team titles against the Rock n’ Roll Express and believe me they will pay in L.A., baby!”
LR: “Ok, well, that is news, but I wouldn’t exactly call it huge news Jimmy.”
JH: “Lance, you have to listen all the way, baby. I was also going to announce a huge signing for the First Family but with your attitude I think I will keep it a surprise for now, ha ha ha ha!”
LR: “Alright Jimmy, get on out of here. Dave, would you please bring back some sanity and let’s get on with the show. Holy cow that Hart is a mouthful.”
DB: “Well, the presence of Jimmy Hart notwithstanding we have a tremendous broadcast here today featuring not only the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title match but a big main event with ACW stars Danny Hodge & Mike Graham taking on LDRS from World of Sport, LOW Junior Heavyweight champion “The Villain” Marty Scurll and the submission specialist Zack Sabre Jr. In addition to that we have the outstanding Frank Gotch in action, Black Tiger & Battle Kat from Kings Road United and the debut of the newest star of the Ring Angels division, Princess Victoria, as part of a big ladies tag team attraction. Without further ado let’s throw it on over to our ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta for the introductions to our opening match.”
Talking Points: Davey Richards (Capitol Wrestling Alliance): The intense “Lone Wolf” Davey Richards was interviewed by Lance Russell at ringside and got right down to business talking about overcoming the serious ankle injury he suffered at the hands of the New Age Horsemen. That came after Richards defeated the cornerstone of the group, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, in the finals of the tenth annual PWI Invitational Cup Tournament held at WrestleCade 12 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Card #1200). Richards said that doctors have medically cleared him to compete and that he can’t wait to get the Horsemen back in the ring. That night he will team up with Barry Windham to face Rude and Curt Hennig. Russell also noted that due to winning the PWI Cup that Richards still has an upcoming opportunity at the LOW World Heavyweight title. Richards acknowledged that and said that he will be observing the title scene and that he would love nothing better than to challenge AJ Styles for the title. Russell said that it would be a “heck of a match” and he wished Richards well in attaining that championship opportunity.
Mil Mascaras (Lucha Underground): Appearing by videotape from his home in Mexico City, Mexico, Mil Mascaras discussed his big victory in Aztec Warfare II (Card #1230) and said that he looks forward to challenging for the LOW World Heavyweight title in the return to The Temple in Los Angeles, CA (Card #1240). As a record seven-time LOW World Heavyweight champion, he said that there would be no better feeling than to become an eight-time champion. He acknowledged that it has been six years since he last held the belt but that would make no difference when he gets into the ring that night whether it be against current champion AJ Styles or his upcoming opponent Bruiser Brody. He said that he will be reviewing video of both men as well as their upcoming match at MSG in order to develop a strategy for the match. Mascaras concluded by thanking all his supporters and said that he will bring his best that night at The Temple in order to once again become the LOW World Heavyweight champion.
Jazz (Ring Angels): The double-tough Jazz appeared in-studio for an interview with Lance Russell. She gave him no time to ask his first question as she grabbed the mic away and demanded to know why she has not been given a shot at the Ring Angels title. She called herself the “Head B**** in Charge” of the Ring Angels division and said that reigning champion Leilani Kai as well as past champions like Sherri Martel are “afraid” to face her. Russell questioned that but Jazz glared at him causing him to back off. She then demanded time to wrestle on television but was told that she was not involved in the upcoming tag team match where Ring Angels newcomer Princess Victoria will team up with Rockin Robin to face Judy Martin and Joyce Grable. Her cold response was “we’ll have to see about that won’t we” as she shoved the mic back at Russell and stormed off.
Henry Irslinger (World of Sport): Veteran star Henry Irslinger appeared via videotape from London, England, where he was recently named the Ambassador for World of Sport. Irslinger said that he has been given the authority to put together matches and that his first main event signed will be a Chain Match pitting Martin Stone against the One Man Gang in Brighton, England (Card #1237) citing the recent hostility between the two men. He admitted that World of Sport, based on a rounds system using the classic all-in wrestling style, is not really the place for such a match but that he was forced to do something in order to get these two heated rivals into a final confrontation of sorts. Irslinger, who was born in Austria, helped established professional wrestling in Great Britain and he hopes that after this affair is over that WOS can go back to what it has become known for which is classic grappling.
Rikidozan (Kings Road United): The KRU founder appeared via videotape from Cincinnati, OH, where he is training alongside Jim Londos for their upcoming tag team match against The Sicilians (Lou Albano & Ilio DiPaolo) for Golden Age Wrestling. He discussed inviting Londos over to Japan for a recent KRU tour where the two teamed up and that not only led to this match in the U.S. but the additional huge news that they will be teaming up in Real World Tag League II for Kings Road United. The second annual tournament, divided into two blocks of sixteen teams, will take place on the following dates:
Maede Arena - Aomori, Japan (Card #1242) Hamamatsu Arena - Hamamatsu, Japan (Card #1243) Hiroshima Sun Plaza - Hiroshima, Japan (Card #1244) Osaka Jo-Hall - Osaka, Japan (Card #1245) World Memorial Hall - Kobe, Japan (Card #1246) Yokohama Arena - Yokohama, Japan (Card #1247) Sumo Hall - Tokyo, Japan (Card #1248) Seibu Dome - Seibu, Japan (Card #1249)
The two teams with the highest point totals in each block tallied over the first seven nights will compete in the finals at the Seibu Dome. Rikidozan & Jim Londos are the first team announced for the A Block while defending champions Giant Baba & The Destroyer will headline the B Block. Additional teams will be announced leading up to the prestigious event. The winning team will be in line to receive a shot at the LOW World tag team titles. Also announced for the big tour is a best-of-seven series between the two new rival teams of Jushin Liger & Tiger Mask and Black Tiger & Battle Kat.
Quick Results:
1) Ricky Landell defeated “The Punishment” Damien Martinez (Pinfall – Fisherman’s Buster)
2) Frank Gotch defeated “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe (Pinfall – Snake Eyes - Series of Punches)
3) Rockin Robin & Princess Victoria defeated Judy Martin & Joyce Grable (Rockin Robin pinned Joyce Grable – Top Rope Flying Bulldog)
4) LOW Tex-Arkana Television title: “A Double” Austin Aries© (with Percy Pringle III) defeated S.D. Jones to retain the title (Pinfall – Heat Seeking Missile)
5) Black Tiger & Battle Kat defeated Heartbreak Express (Fabulous Phil Davis & Superstar Sean Davis) by DQ
6) LDRS (“The Villain” Marty Scurll & Zack Sabre Jr.) defeated Danny Hodge & Mike Graham (Marty Scurll pinned Danny Hodge – Black Plague, a reverse suplex)
Match Highlights: The television main event featured six-time LOW Junior Heavyweight champion Danny Hodge & Mike Graham, both representing ACW, taking on LDRS (“The Villain” Marty Scurll & Zack Sabre Jr.) from World of Sport. Hodge recently challenged Scurll for the LOW Junior Heavyweight title in Atlanta, GA (Card #1224) but Sabre got involved in the match causing Hodge to recruit Graham for this grudge tag bout. All four men showed off the great ring skills they are know for but “The Villain” looked determined to show just why he is the reigning champion. Scurll stunned Hodge early and used both the Bird of Prey and Graduation trying to seal a victory. Hodge fought back but soon found himself in trouble against Sabre ass the “submission specialist” trapped him in the Kimura Lock forcing Graham to break it up. Things went back and forth from there before Scurll caught Hodge with his reverse suplex, called the Black Plague, and scored the pin. It was a huge win for LDRS and especially for Scurll who dangled the title belt before Hodge taunting the legendary veteran star as the broadcast ended.
IWA star “A Double” Austin Aries, accompanied by his manager Percy Pringle III, had a successful version one defense of the LOW Tex-Arkana Television title against the popular S.D. “Special Delivery” Jones of ASW. As noted by Dave Brown, this marked the third time that Jones has gone for the title having come up short against two-time champion Roderick Strong (Card #671 and Card #921) in past challenges. Lance Russell commended Brown for doing his homework and said that Jones could surprise anyone at any time. Unfortunately for Jones that did not happen here as Aries blitzed him at the bell and, after hitting the Heat Seeking Missile, a diving clothesline out to the floor, he quickly covered him for the pin. Pringle stopped by the announce table post-match and exclaimed “on to Norfolk!” which Russell explained is where Aries will next defend his title against The Patriot for Atlantic Coast Wrestling at The Scope in Norfolk, VA (Card #1233).
In other action…
The highly touted Ricky Landell, a native of St. Paul, MN, pulled off another monster upset as he defeated CWA star “The Punishment” Damien Martinez in the opening bout. Martinez was recently scouted by manager Abdullah Farouk and Virgil, the bodyguard of the “Million $ Man” Ted Dibiase. On his way to the ring, a video overlay showed Golden Age Wrestling manager Sir Oliver Humperdink talking about “The Punishment” and during the match Jimmy Hart came out to ringside to scout him. Hart yelled at “The Punishment” to lift Landell up at the two count after he had delivered South of Heaven. Martinez obliged but that distraction cost him as a fired up Landell bounced back and hit the Fisherman’s Buster on his larger foe for the pin. Martinez was livid after the loss and chased after Hart as Landell celebrated his big victory. Lance Russell said that if Martinez was who he was going to sign to a contract with the First Family, Hart may have taken himself out of the running for his services with that distraction. Dave Brown quipped that Hart is “probably still running” and questioned whether Martinez is “lost” without his former mentor in the Army of Darkness, the deranged Kevin Sullivan.
The inaugural LOW World Heavyweight champion Frank Gotch of Golden Age Wrestling made quick work of “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe in their bout. After taking a slap to the face from Sharpe, Gotch exploded on offense including hitting the Iowa backdrop. He then rained down a Series of Punches on Sharpe and covered him for a snake eyes pin.
Rockin Robin & Princess Victoria, with the latter making her official debut in the Ring Angels division, took on Judy Martin & Joyce Grable. This was a great bout and a nice showcase for Victoria who scored a near fall on Martin after a big splash. Martin held her own throughout the contest as did Grable, using timely tags and some strong offense to control the action. The end came when Robin, rebounding after a tough assault from Grable, hit a tremendous Top Rope Flying Bulldog on her for the pin. Robin and Victoria celebrated their win with a high five but quickly bailed to the outside as Jazz hit the ring. She tossed Grable out to the floor and then viciously attacked Martin until ASW officials got her to leave. Jazz briefly stopped by the announce table and said that everyone, especially Leilani Kai, had better watch out because the “Head B**** in Charge” was coming to claim what is “rightfully hers”, the Ring Angels championship.
The cult favorite Heartbreak Express (Fabulous Phil Davis & Superstar Sean Davis) took on the newly formed Kings Road United team of Black Tiger & Battle Kat in a feature tag team attraction. The Express had an over 150-pound weight advantage against their junior heavyweight opposition, but Tiger and Kat used their speed to counter that. A key spot came when big Sean, checking in at 320-pounds, combined with Phil to hit the Irish Whip and Flying Butt Bomb on Kat driving him out of the ring. That led to a surprise run-in by Jushin “Thunder” Liger & Tiger Mask with Liger going after Kat on the floor while Tiger Mask dove into the ring nailing Black Tiger. Chaos ensued and the referee called for the bell giving Black Tiger & Battle Kat a disqualification win due to outside interference. The Express were not pleased with that but accepted a post-match apology and hand shake from Liger and Tiger Mask. The upcoming best-of-seven series between Liger and Tiger Mask and Black Tiger and Battle Kat during the Real World Tag League II tour for KRU just got a little more heated.

Another fun edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling - which is always great for catching up on all kinds of news...
Very cool that 'Lone Wolf' Davey Richards has finally returned from that injury that has kept him on the shelf since last year's WrestleCade... And with Barry Windham watching his back, the New Age Horsemen could find themselves in some trouble...
Of course, I'm also looking forward to Richards getting his shot at the LOW World Heavyweight title... As soon as AJ delivers another PHENOMENAL performance against Bruiser Brody, we'll get to see him face off against the PWI Invitational tournament winner... An exciting matchup, without a doubt...
The entire situation surrounding the TV title is quite amusing... I'm normally a big fan of Aries and would wish him a healthy title reign - However, he robbed The Mountie and that crime is simply unforgiveable... LOL!
Nice win for Scurll and ZSJr... Interested to see what this pair accomplishes in the future...
Awesome stuff!

Absolutely loving this last card cruefan68! Best Frank Gotch result I have seen in a while... Title Shot!! The stuff on thed horizon is absolutely stellar, not to mention a MSG show that may break the boards! And as for Austin Ares...protect that title...when you travel from gig to gig...thankfully for him...there's plenty of law officers out there...to make sure nothin should...happen to him... Sorry Crue Pariah made me a big fan of The Paragon of Virtue... Tell Ares that if he suddenly...hears hoofprints behind him...it's nothing. 😊 The Major Leagues of Wrestling Continues!

Thanks for the comments Troy, Pariah and Bri. I love doing the ASW shows and yeah that Frank Gotch finish over Larry Sharpe was fun. It looked like Gotch had enough and pounded him to dust to get the win. As for The Mountie and Austin Aries, it looks like The Mountie failed to get his man I'm about halfway done with the ECW card but dice rolling time has been seriously scarce for me of late. I'm hoping to have it done soon but just in case I'm not back on by tomorrow I hope everyone enjoys a happy WrestleMania weekend!

Hotstuff International Inc. presents Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling - Freedom Hall - Louisville, KY (Card #1232)
* “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, flanked by his associates Larry Dallas, Ox Baker and the T-D Machines (#1 & #2) thanked the crowd in Louisville for coming out to see his ECW and right in the hometown of his good friend James E. Cornette. The mere mention of Cornette drew jeers from the crowd prompting Gilbert to tell the fans that they had no class and they could use some hygiene lessons from his new friend, The Hobo! That drew more jeers from the crowd as The Hobo entered the ring with Gilbert saying that he was the new assistant of Larry Dallas, something that Dallas looked none too pleased about. Gilbert was about to run down the card when he began complaining about the scheduled tag team match with Lanny Poffo & Little Beaver vs. Pete Doherty & Sky Low Low asking “who booked that crap?” Dallas backed off and blamed The Hobo saying that he was the one who booked it. Gilbert laughed it off and said “well, I guess we could all use a Little Beaver, ha ha” before telling Dallas to get a grip on his duties as matchmaker or he will be replaced. That prompted Dallas to stare daggers at The Hobo who looked pleased at the acceptance from Gilbert.
Before he could continue, Gilbert was interrupted by the presence of “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush and he demanded that security remove him from the building. The security team surrounded Quackenbush and were about to escort him out when Gilbert told them to wait a minute. He asked Quackenbush what he wanted as obviously he does not have a contract with Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling. Quackenbush got into the ring and stared down Gilbert and his associates before saying that he wanted one more match and that if he loses, he will never set foot in ECW again and that his beloved CHIKARA would be nothing but a distant memory. Gilbert took a second to ponder his request and told him he was on but that the match would not be with him but with Baker instead. Baker stepped up raising his Heart Punch fist and giving a menacing glare towards Quackenbush who did not back down.
Gilbert said “ok, Quack Quack you’ve got one more match and if you don’t beat Baker you are gone forever from my ECW! I’m in a sporting mood, though, and if you win that match, I will give you the chance to face me at a time and place of my choosing.” Quackenbush nodded in agreement and remained in place staring Baker down until security stepped in between the two men. Gilbert said that would only be part of the big night of action as the winning tag team in a Gauntlet Match would represent ECW in Real World Tag League II for Kings Road United in Japan, laughingly noting that the T-D Machines had somehow drawn the final entrant spot in the match. He called for the show to start and said that maybe Quackenbush should stick around and watch his good buddy Jigsaw get fired from ECW when he fails to defeat The Sandman in a Panes of Glass Match, noting that “appropriately” the two were once again competing in the opening match…
Quick Results:
1) Panes of Glass Match – Loser Fired from ECW: The Sandman defeated Jigsaw (Pinfall – Heinekenrana)
2) “Duke of Dorchester” Pete Doherty & Swoggle defeated “Leaping” Lanny Poffo & Little Beaver (Swoggle pinned Little Beaver – German Suplex)
3) “Limitless” Keith Lee defeated DJ Hyde (Pinfall – Spirit Bomb)
4) Chri$ Ca$h & Alex Colon defeated Cedric Alexander & “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux (Alex Colon pinned Lash Leroux – Pop Up Driver)
5) Chris Candido defeated Sweet Brown Sugar (with Larry Dallas) (Pinfall – Top Rope Huracanrana)
6) Tag Team Gauntlet Match for a spot in Real World Tag League II:
Order of Elimination:
* F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) defeated Dez Peloton (Donald Kluger & Jasper Tippins) (Gran Akuma pinned Jasper Tippins – Tenchi Crash)
* Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive, with Sydney Bakabella) defeated F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) (Max Smashmaster pinned Gran Akuma – Standing Splash)
* Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive, with Sydney Bakabella) defeated Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend) (Max Smashmaster pinned Adam Thornstowe – The Spinebuster)
* Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive, with Sydney Bakabella) defeated R.M.O.H. (Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser) (Max Smashmaster pinned Beer City Bruiser – Moonsault)
* Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive, with Sydney Bakabella) defeated T-D Machines (#1 & #2, with Larry Dallas) (Max Smashmaster pinned T-D Machine #1 – Devastation Beatdown)
7) Juan Francisco de Coronado defeated “Bad Dude” Tito Escondido (with Olivia) (Submission – Snake Eyes – Coronado Clutch)
8) Ox Baker defeated “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush (Pinfall – Heart Punch)
Match Highlights: Jigsaw was fired from ECW by “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert after losing to The Sandman in a Panes of Glass Match. The brutal opening match saw two panes of glass set up on opposite turnbuckles while a third pane was laid across two chairs at ringside. This was the culmination of an extreme series of matches that Gilbert forced his two rivals into in order to tun the tables on them. With the added stipulation of the loser being fired, both men fought with an extra intensity in this one. It was The Sandman that was sent through both panes of glass set up in the corners, the first time being dropkicked by Jigsaw through the glass. The Sandman was a bloody mess but the “Hardcore Icon” is used to that and he fought back furiously including delivering the Singapore Cane shot. Jigsaw was knocked silly and not long after it was The Sandman executing the Heinekenrana to score the pin. Gilbert came out to ringside afterward and took great joy in firing Jigsaw but ran off when The Sandman threatened him with the cane. The Sandman shared a beer with a reluctant Jigsaw before Mike Quackenbush ran in to console his former tag team partner in CHIKARA. Jigsaw took exception to the sight of Quackenbush and walked off, drawing a shocked reaction from the CHIKARA founder who Jigsaw seemed to blame over his situation.
With the firing of Jigsaw hanging over his head, “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush later entered the ring for his main event match with Ox Baker more than determined to win. At stake was a long coveted rematch with Eddie Gilbert if he won or that he himself would leave ECW, and the CHIKARA brand name, forever if he lost. Knowing that he may have also affected his longtime partnership with Jigsaw, Quackenbush had to be at a disadvantage in more ways than one against the feared “Master of the Heart Punch”. Baker took great pleasure in punishing Quackenbush in the early going, using his height and weight to his advantage. Quackenbush managed a nice counter and stunned Baker with a running forearm out of the corner. He then took it to the outside and, knowing this was his only chance to get Gilbert back in the ring, got extreme and used a chair on the big man. Quackenbush was going out of his element but he had to take it to Baker in violent fashion if he was going to beat him. Baker returned the favor and ran Quackenbush head first into the ring post before delivering a backbreaker in the ring for a two count. The crowd implored Quackenbush to fight back and he did but ultimately it was not enough. Baker found an opening and delivered his devastating Heart Punch to score the pin. Just like that it was all over and Quackenbush, down and out from taking the Heart Punch, was done in ECW forever. He also lost the chance to use his beloved CHIKARA brand name again, a name that would now be cemented as part of Gilbert’s ECW, Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling.
As Baker smiled over the fallen Quackenbush, Jigsaw ran into the ring despite having been fired earlier. He stared down Baker and then reached out to help Quackenbush back to his feet. It looked like the two friends had put aside their earlier differences but then Jigsaw grabbed Quackenbush and pinned his arms back leaving him exposed to another Heart Punch from Baker. It was a brutal and devastating betrayal but then Jigsaw unmasked revealing himself as Gilbert! The crowd jeered heavily as Gilbert grabbed the mic and reminded Quackenbush who was “boss” and that in one night he destroyed the legacy of CHIKARA forever, running both Quackenbush and Jigsaw out of his ECW. He called for security to haul Quackenbush out of the ring and gave the mask to Baker who tore it apart much to the delight of Gilbert. The heat was off the charts and a near riot situation was at hand so Gilbert wisely bailed out but not before saying that “You ingrates in Louisville have witnessed history with the official death of CHIKARA and the glorious rise of my ECW – Extreme CHIKARA Wrestling!”
In other action…
The unlikely hero Juan Francisco de Coronado had a tall order as he took on the “Bad Dude” Tito Escondido, who was accompanied by his manager Olivia. Escondido recently challenged “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles for the LOW World Heavyweight title in Tulsa, OK (Card #1222) and although he failed to win the title, he gave Styles some anxious moments. Escondido was hoping to build on his momentum but was slow out of the gate thanks to some nice counters by Coronado. After recovering from a missed suicide dive, Escondido struck with the Bad Dude Driver and now had Coronado in trouble. Coronado weathered the storm, however, and caught Escondido in his Coronado Clutch, a painful reverse Texas Clover Leaf hold. Escondido tried in vain to escape as Olivia urged him to get to the ropes. Coronado cinched the hold on and that forced Escondido to tap out snake eyes style losing the match via submission. Blind Rage made a surprise run-in post-match attacking Coronado with Escondido joining in. Coronado was in trouble until suddenly a man in Taekwondo gear ran in blitzing Escondido and Rage with a flurry of kicks. Coronado recovered and assisted the newcomer, who was revealed as “Speedball” Mike Bailey, in clearing the ring. It was later announced that Coronado and Bailey will team up to face Escondido and Rage in a feature tag team attraction on the next edition of LOW All-Star Wrestling in Memphis, TN (Card #1241).
The ploy by Eddie Gilbert to put the T-D Machines (#1 & #2) in last in the Tag Team Gauntlet Match for a spot in Real World Tag League II backfired as they wound up on the losing end against a steamrolling Devastation Corporation (Max Smashmaster & Blaster McMassive) led by manager Sydney Bakabella. After F.I.S.T. (Icarus & Gran Akuma) eliminated Dez Peloton (Donald Kluger & Jasper Tippins) in a great bout to get things started, Devastation Corporation entered and ran the gauntlet. One by one F.I.S.T., Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend), R.M.O.H. (Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser) and the T-D Machines fell by the wayside as Devastation Corporation claimed the spot in the prestigious tag team tournament run by Kings Road United in Japan. It was not an easy road, particularly their clash with F.I.S.T., but Bakabella’s men were up to the task and as a result they will be representing ECW in the A Block alongside the already announced team of Rikidozan & Jim Londos. This also marks the second year in the tournament for Devastation Corporation who last year won the B Block going to the finals where they lost to tournament winners Giant Baba & The Destroyer. The defending champions, Baba and Destroyer, have been announced as a B Block entrant in Real World Tag League II so both teams would have to win their respective blocks for there to be a rematch of last year’s finals.
Talented Cherry Hill, NJ, native Chris Candido got the better of Eddie Gilbert’s handpicked “newest ECW superstar” Sweet Brown Sugar in their match. Sugar, who was accompanied to ringside by Larry Dallas, taunted Candido early but wound up frustrated. Candido grabbed the mic and said that everyone knows that Sugar is really Koko Ware and he asked him where his parrot was. That set off Sugar but benefitted Candido who dominated most of the action. To the credit of Ware, he did manage to kick out after taking the Blonde Bomb but he was defeated when Candido caught him with a Top Rope Huracanrana and cradled his legs for the pin. Ware attempted to deliver a post-match attack but Candido countered that and sent him flying over the top rope on top of Dallas to the delight of the crowd.
Two heated rivalries were featured in tag team action as the popular Cedric Alexander and the “Rajin Cajun” Lash Leroux took on Chri$ Ca$h and Alex Colon. Alexander and Leroux recently returned from injuries suffered at the hands of Ca$h and Colon, respectively, so they were out for some revenge here. Alexander took the fight to Ca$h in the early going but a nice counter by Ca$h led to a turnaround. Ca$h and Colon wound up neutralizing Leroux and keeping Alexander out of the match. Leroux was busted open after taking a Shuffle Kick from Colon. Alexander pleaded for a tag but unfortunately Leroux was not able to make it. The finish saw Colon nail a bloody Leroux with the Pop Up Driver, a leaping spin kick, to score the pin as Ca$h fended off a save attempt by Alexander.
“Limitless” Keith Lee scored a huge win over DJ Hyde in their match. Lee took it to the CZW owner from the opening bell including hitting the Meteor, a swanton dive out of the ring. Hyde, who was busted open during a brawl on the outside, showed his toughness as he twice survived Ground Zero, a Death Valley Jackhammer. Lee took it from there, though, and planted Hyde with the devastating Spirit Bomb, an elevated power bomb, to score the pin. The bloody Hyde rolled into the corner after the pin and looked on in anger as Lee bellowed to the crowd “Bask in my Glory!”
The “Duke of Dorchester” Pete Doherty & Swoggle came out on the winning side against “Leaping” Lanny Poffo & Little Beaver in something of an upset. Poffo was outstanding when in against Doherty who bailed out of the ring and nearly retreated to the locker room. When the little guys tagged in it was pretty much mayhem which the fans enjoyed. Swoggle wound up scoring the pin on Beaver after hitting a sitdown splash followed by a German Suplex.
Transactions: * Jigsaw was fired from ECW due to the stipulation that the loser of the Panes of Glass Match between him and The Sandman would face termination from the company. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert took great pleasure in firing Jigsaw and the masked man seemed to blame Mike Quackenbush for what has happened to him.
