- Savoy pinned Baszler via DRAGON SUPLEX

- Savoy pinned Thunder Rosa via DRAGON SUPLEX

- Savoy pinned Blackheart via DRAGON SUPLEX

- as a result of winning this match, Savoy is the first ever Sunset Champion

Match #2: Samuray Del Sol defeated Jason Kincaid (accompanied by Darby Allin)

- Kincaid put up a good fight but Del Sol won via Yoshi Tonic

Match #3: Shane Strickland defeated Peter Kaasa

- this match was Strickland's EVOLVEGAS debut

- Strickland won via his SWERVE STOMP

- {Promoter's Note: As I was rolling out this match I was watching the recent episode of MLW Fusion and the current match was Shane Strickland challenging Low Ki for the title. Right as I rolled the SWERVE STOMP, Strickland actually did the Swerve Stomp in his match and the commentator said "There is the Swerve Stomp" lol}

Match #4: TJ Perkins defeated DJZ

- TJP won via his Detonation Kick

Match #5: Ethan Page defeated Tracy Williams by DQ

- this match ended in DQ when Williams, frustrated that the referee did not see him making Page tap out to his FACELOCK, suddenly put the referee in the FACELOCK and asked the referee "Do you see the FACELOCK now?"

Match #6: Keith Lee defeated Trevor Lee

- Keith Lee won this battle of the Lees via his DOOMsault.

Match #7: Johnny Gargano defeated Chris Hero


- a good match, Hero had Gargano in trouble early but Gargano battled back and won via GARGANO ESCAPE to remain undefeated in EVOLVEGAS and thus likely win a spot in next month's #1 Contender's Tournament.


Match #8: Matt Riddle defeated Anthony Nese (accompanied by PJ Black and SoCal Val)

- A really good grudge match as the action continuously went back and forth with both Riddle and Nese scoring multiple pin attempts against each other. Riddle overcame a SOCAL SLAP from SoCal Val to win when he hit Black (who had jumped up on the apron) with a running knee strike and then hit a Broton on Nese for the victory.


Match #9: Jeff Cobb defeated AR Fox in the #1 Contender's Finals


- Cobb won via TOUR OF THE ISLANDS

- as a result, Cobb gets an EVOLVEGAS Championship match at EVOLVEGAS 10!

- Afterward, the Premiere Athlete Brand (Nese, Black, and SoCal Val) arrived and attacked Cobb until Riddle made the save. Riddle then challenged the PAB to a match against the Chosen Bros at EVOLVEGAS 9!

Match #10: Drew Galloway defeated Timothy Thatcher

- a good grudge match, Galloway won via his DOUBLE ARM DDT


Match #11: EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Champions Workhorsemen defeated Doom Patrol

- First Fall: Doom Patrol very nearly won this fall but were DQd when the action spilled out of the ring where Chris Dickinson got DQd for sending Anthony Henry through the commentator's table via a Burning Hammer. Workhorsemen up 1-0.

- Second Fall: Workhorsemen won this fall when James Drake pinned Jaka after HEY BATTER SWING! Workhorsemen win this match 2-0 to retain the EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Championship.


Match #12: EVOLVEGAS Champion WALTER (accompanied by Timothy Thatcher) defeated Austin Theory (accompanied by Priscilla Kelly)

- WALTER overcame the interference of Kelly to win via a lariat.

- As a result, WALTER retains the EVOLVEGAS Championship which he will next defend against Jeff Cobb at EVOLVEGAS 10 {Promoter's Note: WALTER vs Cobb will thus be a rematch from the main event of PWG's last show Smokey and the Bandido where Cobb defeated WALTER to win the EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Championship.}

BREAKING NEWS:

Due to the interference of Drew Galloway in their previous matchup, EVOLVEGAS officials have granted Ringkamp's request for a non-title rematch against EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Champions the Workhorsemen. Ringkampf will receive a future EVOLVEGAS Tag Tean Championship match if they defeat the Workhorsemen at EVOLVEGAS 9.

The participants in the next #1 Contender's Tournament have been selected: Johnny Gargano and Ethan Page, (since they both went 2-0 at EVOLVEGAS 7 and 8) Austin Theory (the last one to receive an EVOLVEGAS Championship match- he is back in the tournament since nobody went 2-0 to earn the other spots outright,) and Drew Galloway (as a result of winning his grudge match against Timothy Thatcher at EVOLVEGAS 8.)

There will be no SUNSET Division matches on upcoming EVOLVEGAS shows as SUNSET will now be a separate show connected to EVOLVEGAS.

Following their match against each other at EVOLVEGAS 8, Keith Lee and Trevor Lee have decided to enter the tag team division and they are calling their tag team The Lees.

Match #10: Ringkampf defeated EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Champions Workhorsemen in a non-title match

- WALTER pinned Anthony Henry via his POWERBOMB to give the Workhorsemen their first defeat in EVOLVEGAS.

- As a result, Ringkampf win a future EVOLVEGAS Tag Team Championship match and WALTER, if he retains the EVOLVEGAS Championship against Cobb at EVOLVEGAS 10, will have a chance to become a double champion.
