As someone who has a tag team tournament (my MLW Memorial Cup) in their LOW fed based on the Crockett Cup, I am really interested to see how this upcoming Crockett Cup plays out! How many tag teams will it be? Will it be multiple days like the previous Crockett Cups? Will any tag teams from previous Crockett Cups (Rock N Roll Express, Powers of Pain, etc) participate? I am guessing Reno Scum will be one of the top teams involved as they are the current tag team champions in CWFH and David Marquez is heavy involved again in the NWA. Classic Connection is another CWFH tag team that absolutely needs to be in it IMO (thematically they are a perfect for the Crockett Cup.) I would not be surprised if the Crockett Cup takes place back East, but if it happens in California then I might need to go see it live.  |

It was actually never really well done in the past so hopefully this one turns out better.

It was actually never really well done in the past so hopefully this one turns out better. Yeah, I agree. I always really liked the concept but there were some things I never understood about how the tournaments played out. For example, weren't the Road Warriors and the Powers of Pain the top two seeded teams one year yet for some reason wrestled each other in the Quarter-Finals? I am hoping the 2019 version will keep the 24 tag team brackets of the past Crockett Cups. |
