RAGE IN A CAGE EPSTEIN MAKES HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT
Promoter Marco Epstein opened the last KC’S FINEST Wrestling event with an announcement that may’ve changed the face of professional wrestling.
At the next KC’S FINEST event the grudge between the newly christened Gang of Five and The Locals in Favor of Prohibition will be decided inside a cage.
“These two groups cannot stand each other and this feud needs to end,” explained Epstein. “This is a specially fabricated cage that will resemble a large lion’s cage and surround the ring. I have forbidden either group of contact with the other until the match and the losing team will have to leave KC’S FINEST.”
To even the sides The Locals have received some reinforcements from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the form of Jacques Rougeau and Carl Pierre Oulette. The two men teamed up and were victorious in their debut against The Upper Class.
In addition to the huge announcement at the last event, there was a title change in the tag team ranks. The Associates team of Niles Young and Biff Busick, who represent the Gang of Five, defeated KC’S FINEST Tag Team The Foreign Legion. This match was not without controversy as outside interference from Bruno Moretti assisted The Associates in their victory.
“The Associates are no more than degenerate street rats,” shouted Martin Scurll. The would have to stoop to cheating tactics to defeat us. It was obviously the only way they could take down the big man.”
Also at the event Matthew Cross continued to position himself for a rematch against the Pride of Kansas City Bill Taylor. Cross was able to get the duke in a very competitive contest with Billy Roc.
“Billy is a great competitor, but I’m not letting anyone get in my way of once again being the Pride of Kansas City,” said Cross.
Others gaining victories at the event were Zoey Skye, Gregory Irons, The Jackson County Jeepers, Bobo Brazil, the team of Dr. Jacob Omen and Nurse Britt Baker and the trio of Jeff King, Robert Orton, Sr. and Robert Orton, Jr.

KC’S FINEST PRO WRESTLING CIRCA 1920’s SHOW 17 KANSAS CITY CLUB KANSAS CITY, MO
(Promoter Marco Epstein is in the center of the ring.)
Epstein: Welcome to KC’S Finest, the best pro wrestling in the Midwest. Today we make history. Today we have the very first cage match in history. Ten men will enter and the losers will be forced to leave KC’S FINEST. Both the Gang of Five and The Locals in Favor of Prohibition have managed to maintain their distance from one another, so both teams are fresh and ready to destroy each other. Without further ado, let’s get to the action.
Dasher Hatfield vs. Matthew Cross Both of these men would love to get a shot at the Pride of Kansas City, but one would have to think the loser of this would be eliminated from contention. Cross absorbed a lot of punishment early on, but did not give in. He battled back and eventually made Hatfield submit to the BOW AND ARROW.
The Upper Class (Maxwell Jacob Friedman & Logan Easton Laroux) vs. The Jackson County Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) Before the match The Upper Class espoused how much better they were than everyone in the building, especially their opponents, The Jeepers. The Jeepers took exception and had a little extra fire in this match. The Jeepers were all over their opponents, executing multiple quick tags and double team moves. The Jeepers were totally dominant and Clean pinned Laroux after a double team backbreaker.
Maurice & Paul Vachon vs. Heidi The Riveter Heidi says she doesn’t need anyone’s help, but she may have made a huge error in challenging the brothers from America’s hat. The Vachons brutalized Heidi early on, but Heidi managed to briefly turn the tables. Heidi’s advantage was short lived and the Vachons continued to brutalize the outspoken Heidi. It was as Paul was preparing to deliver a third straight PILEDRIVER that ‘Big’ Sue Jackson hit the ring. Heidi is disqualified, but Jackson didn’t seem to care the result of his actions. He was all over Paul and as Maurice tried to come to his brother’s aid, Jackson gave him his just due. The Vachons retreated and Jackson helped Heidi to her feet. Upon realizing what had happened, Heidi quickly shoves Jackson. Jackson told Heidi to wait and exited the ring. From under the ring Jackson pulled a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He brushed and fluffed them just a bit as he rolled back into the ring. Jackson presented the flowers to a bewildered Heidi, who surprisingly, but reluctantly accepted the gift. Jackson sheepishly grinned as Heidi gave him a half smile before leaving the ring and making her way to the back.
Jazz Kings Trio (Bobo Brazil, Koko Ware & Conrad ‘Special Delivery’ Jones) vs. Jeff King & Robert Orton, Sr. & Robert Orton, Jr. The action was intense from the opening bell, but the Jazz Kings eventually gained the advantage and Brazil pinned Senior following a COCO BUTT.
Mary Elizabeth Monroe w/‘Ox’ Baker Monroe vs. Jessica James Monroe gained an early advantage, James countered and went on the offensive. Monroe absorbed quite a bit of punishment, but proved resilient as James was unable to put her away. With encouragement from her father and the crowd, Monroe made a comeback and was able to make James submit to the RAINBOW CROSS.
(As the cage was being set up around the ring, The Monroes met with the fans. Also seen were ‘Big’ Sue Jackson and Heidi The Riveter talking and laughing together as well as the Jazz Kings Trio inviting fans to their next set at the Moonshin’ Men Tavern.)
CAGE MATCH Gang of Five (Hugo Lexington, Dick J. Lahart, Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti, Niles ‘Sozio’ Young & Biff Busick) vs. The Locals in Favor of Prohibition (The Patriot, Gavin Q. Volstead, Cammeron S. Sheppard, Jacques Rougeau & Pierre Carl Oulette) The cage was definitely a sight to see. The fans sat in awe as the steel manufacturers that Promoter Marco Epstein hired had truly outdone themselves. The cage sat on the floor around the ring so there was some room between the ring and the cage, which both teams were sure to take advantage of. Lahart and Oulette started the match and it appeared the strategy for the Locals was to isolate Lahart and make him the sacrificial lamb that would rid KC’S FINEST of the Gang of Five. Lahart managed to battle his way back to his corner to make the tag. The match continued back and forth with both teams executing multiple tags. At one point the ref took a bump and went down. The brutal brawl continued and the ref eventually recovered. The Patriot and Sozio engaged in a brawl outside the ring, between the ring and cage. Sozio whipped The Patriot into the cage that surrounded the ring multiple times before attempting a piledriver on the hard floor. The Patriot countered with a back body drop and Sozio writhed in pain. The action continued back and forth for several minutes before Rougeau’s and Moretti’s wild brawl spilled out of the ring. Suddenly, a large, masked man appeared from under the ring and attacked Rougeau. This started a wild brawl outside of the ring as all ten men plus the masked men brawled outside the ring. The referee attempted to regain order, but his efforts proved futile. On the opposite side of the ring from the referee, the masked man and Lahart executed a spike piledriver on Rougeau. Rougeau was out cold. The masked man rolled Rougeau back into the ring, as did Moretti. Lexington directed the referee’s attention to the ring, where Moretti was pinning an unconscious Rougeau. The referee quickly rolled into the ring and counted the pin as everyone else continued to brawl around the ring.
(The brawl continued around the ring as Promoter Marco Epstein demanded the cage be opened. After several minutes of struggling, the cage was finally opened, but the damage was visible as Rougeau was still unconscious in the ring. As Dr. Jacob Omen checked on him, constables entered the cage to try to restore order. The brawl was so out of control that the constables were forced to use their billy clubs on the participants to gain an advantage. Several fans tried to enter the cage at this point, which complicated matters. At this point it was a full on riot and the constables seemed to be at a disadvantage. The steel workers struggled, but were eventually able to remove parts of the cage to enable easier access to the ring. Wrestlers were actually called to the ring in order to help the constables restore order. Eventually order was restored, but what it cost KC’S FINEST will remain to be seen.)

Really like the Jazz King Trio. Great Cage Match as well even if I'd have liked the Locals to have won.

Really like the Jazz King Trio. Great Cage Match as well even if I'd have liked the Locals to have won. Glad you enjoyed. The trio may become a quartet in the near future. As far as The Locals, just like in any loser leaves town match, they only leave until the promoter has another idea on how to use them.

RIOT CAUSES SUSPENSION FUTURE OF KC’S FINEST UNKNOWN
After an initial investigation following KC’s Finest Wrestling’s most recent event, Promoter Marco Epstein’s promoter’s license has been suspended by the Missouri Athletic Commision.
The final match, which took place inside a cage, ended in a riot involving wrestlers, constables and fans.
“The safety of everyone involved was put at risk, stated Commissioner Harley Race. “ We will conduct a more in depth investigation before deciding if Mr. Epstein’s promoter’s license should be reinstated.”
Injuries during the ensuing riot were minor, but it seems Mountie Jacques Rougeau suffered a serious injury prior to the riot reaching its full fervor.
“I thought by having this match take place inside a cage, this sort of thing could be avoided,” said Epstein. “My whole idea was to protect the fans and others surrounding the ring from the violence that a match involving those 10 men would possibly bring forth. I have great remorse for what has transpired and I will fully cooperate with the athletic commission’s investigation.”
Before the unfortunate ending of the event occurred other matches took place.
Matthew Cross continued to position himself for a rematch against Pride of Kansas City Bill Taylor by defeating Dasher Hatfield.
“All I can do is compete and bide my time until I’m rewarded with what I rightfully deserve,” said Cross. “I keep fighting and I keep winning, that’s all I can do.”
Also gaining victories at the event were The Jackson County Jeepers, Maurice and Butcher Vachon, The Jazz King Trio and Mary Elizabeth Monroe.

Mornin Mad Kanter! Just caught myself up and that was a great card! Victories by Matthew Cross and The Jeepers are always awesome but that 10 man steel cage match was a masterpiece. It seemed to be or reminded me of what you might get if you crossed your fed with the Scorcese movie, "Gangs of New York". Complete with a suspension on the license. Also digging the Jackson / Monroe relationship. And to have the wrestlers mingle with the fans while the cage was being constructed was a nice touch cause you could picture that happening. My favorite card so far my man!

I've got some real life stuff that might cause a slight break in the action, but don't worry KC'S FINEST will be back better than ever soon enough.
