I think best of all, having a relative of Abraham Lincoln in this is awesome!Bri -Thank you for the kind words.  I have several storylines in my head and plan on adding and subtracting from my roster as time goes by.  My plan is to post at least two shows a month as my schedule allows.  I think it's going to be a fun ride.

King Wins Pride of Kansas City

KC’s Finest Pro Wrestling debuted recently and crowned their first champion.

Journeyman veteran Jeff King beat world renowned wrestler Matthew Cross to secure the title.

“There was never a doubt in my mind that I would walk away from the night as the champion. I have been all around the world and faced the best of the best. I’ve beaten them all and I once again proved that I am the best.”

It should be noted that Cross seemed to be injured during the match, which may have aided in his defeat.

Also at the event a group that represents the group Locals in Favor of Prohibition made their presence felt. Four men, Dick J. Lahart, Hugo Lexington, Gavin Q. Volstead and Cammeron S. Sheppard, made a scene at the beginning the show as promoter Marco Epstein introduced the Pride of Kansas City. Epstein agreed to allow the four men to circulate their literature as long as they agreed to compete In the ring. The quartet agreed and Epstein immediately informed Lahart he was to wrestle Cross in the first match of the event. Lahart seemed unprepared and was quickly defeated.

Later in the event Lexington, Volstead and Sheppard faced Bill Taylor, Chuck Taylor and Jock Samson in a wild match that did not offer a winner as both teams were counted out of the ring.

Others collecting victories at the event were Marion Fontaine, Nicholas Valentino, and the Jackson County Jeepers.

Epstein: Welcome to Kansas City’s Finest, the best pro wrestling in the Midwest. Last time we were all together Jeff King was crowned the Pride of Kansas City, outlasting three other competitors. Tonight, Jeff King will defend the Pride of Kansas City against the man known as the Handlebar Haberdasher, Marion Fontaine.

(Epstein is once again interrupted by the Locals In Favor of Prohitibition who cause a commotion as they make their way to the ring.)

Lexington: If you will excuse the interruption Mr. Epstein. We have something we have to discuss.

Epstein: Do I really have a choice?

Lexington: You always have a choice … like you can choose to exit the ring while we explain to all these folks why they need to support prohitibion.

Epstein: That’s not going to happen.

Lexington: Fine. In that case I am here to lay down a challenge. We challenge those no good, dirty outlaws, The Moonshinin’ Men of Applachia to a match here tonight. They continue to defy federal law and if you aren’t going to do anything about it then we will have to take matters into our own hands.

Epstein: I think that’s a fantastic idea. Later on tonight your two lackeys will face Chuck Taylor and Jock Samson in this very ring. Aaaand as a bonus, your lapdog here will face ‘Burly’ Bill Taylor. Now if you please … get out of the ring.

(The Locals hesitate as they talk amongst themselves until Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti charged the ring, swinging a baseball bat, clearing the ring of the loitering quartet.)

Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti vs. Gregory Iron
Both men battled back and forth until Iron caught a break and surprised Moretti with a FLYING BURRITO. Iron went for the pin as two unknown men came toward the ring. One of them distracted the ref as the other attacked Iron. The man roughed up Iron before holding him while Moretti hit Iron with his baseball bat. Iron slumped to the man holding him rolled out of the ring. The ref turned and made the count as Moretti pinned Iron. Moretti quickly left the ring with his two new allies.

The Jackson County Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) vs. ‘Felino de Hierro’ Louis Lyndon & Heidi The Riveter
The match started fast as Lyndon tried to gain a quick victory with a CROSSBODY SPLASH, but Clean kicked out of the pin attempt. Lyndon continued to keep the match at a quick pace and kept the Jeepers off balance. Heidi got some licks in too, but it was Lyndon who got the pin with a plancha on Clean.

‘Burly’ Bill Taylor vs. Dick J. Lahart w/Hugo Lexington
Taylor manhandled Lahart for the entire match and made the cover after a SIDE SLAM. Lexington interfered and dropped an elbow on the back of Taylor. Taylor no sold the move and got in Lexington’s face. The ref tried to separate the two and as he did Taylor turned right into the LAHART PUNCH. Taylor collapsed to the mat and Lahart made the easy pin.

Nicholas Valentino vs. Dasher Hatfield
Valentino used a full nelson to wear Hatfield down early on, but Hatfield recovered. Hatfield made Valentino submit to the SUICIDE SQUEEZE.

John Abraham Lincoln vs. ‘Big’ Sue Jackson
Lincoln showed his wrestling prowess and disposed of Jackson quickly with a THROAT LIFT SLAM.

Thunderkitty vs. Mary Elizabeth Monroe
Monroe did some major damage outside the ring, slamming Thunderkitty several times on the hard ringside floor. Thunderkitty battled back though and turned this match into a wild brawl outside the ring. The ref instituted a ten count while the ladies fought and counted both ladies were counted out.

Locals In Favor of Prohibition (Gavin Q. Volstead & Cammeron S. Sheppard) w/Hugo Lexington vs. The Moonshin’ Men of Appalachia (Chuck Taylor & Jock Samson)
Both teams battled back and forth before the ref took a bump and went down hard. Then all hell broke loose and Lexington entered the ring and nailed Taylor with a chair. Volstead and Sheppard double teamed Samson and just as it looked as if Samson was about to counter the attack, he was attacked from behind by Dick J. Lahart. The four on two mugging continued and it looked really bad for the Moonshin’ Men until Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti and the two unknown men that helped him during his earlier match stormed the ring with baseball bats. In an eerie replay of how the show began, Moretti and the two unknown men cleared the ring of the locals, getting a couple of shots in on Lahart and Volstead. Moretti and his associates then stood over the Moonshin’ Men as ‘Burly’ Bill Taylor ran to the ring. Taylor was still showing some affects from his earlier match, but still managed to stand between his employers and the three men standing over them. After several tense seconds, Moretti and his associates exited the ring without any further damage being done.

PRIDE OF KANSAS CITY TITLE MATCH
Marion Fontaine vs. Pride of Kansas City Jeff King
Fontaine looked good early, but missed a top rope dive, possibly hurting his ribs. King capitalized and went to work on the tender area, eventually making Fontaine submit to a BEAR HUG.

(Epstein makes his way into the ring and congratulates King on a successful title defense. Dr. Sam Sheppard checks Fontaine as King cockily shakes Epstein's hand then leaves the ring. Epstein thanks the crowd for attending and invites them to return for the next show.)

King Wins Pride of Kansas City King Successful in First Title Defense

The Pride of Kansas City Jeff King defended his title for the first time recently and defeated Marion Fontaine. Fontaine, often referred to as the Handlebar Haberdasher, started out strong, but faded as he seemed to suffer an injury after a missed dive from the top turnbuckle. King capitalized on the mistake and finished his challenger off with a bear hug.

"There isn't anyone in the Midwest that can beat me," said the confident champion.  "I will retire as champion."

Earlier in the event, violence erupted during a match between the Locals In Favor of Prohibition and The Moonshin’ Men of Appalachia when the ref was knocked out during the match. While the ref was down, The Locals initiated a four on two attack when a trio of men led by Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti attacked the four members of The Locals in Favor of Prohibition with baseball bats. Once Moretti and his unknown cohorts cleared the ring of The Locals they turned their attention to The Moonshin’ Men, but left them unharmed and exited the ring.  Promoter Marco Epstein was asked about the trio of hoodlums following the event.

"Moretti and his friends will be admonished, but they are here to compete, just like everyone else," said Epstein.  "That being said, I will be keeping a close eye on their behavior."

That wasn’t the only damage done by Moretti and his two unknown allies as they assisted Moretti to a victory over Gregory Iron.

Others victorious at the event were ‘Felino de Hierro’ Louis Lyndon & Heidi The Riveter, Dick J. Lahart, Dasher Hatfield and John Abraham Lincoln.

Epstein: Welcome to Kansas City’s Finest, the best pro wrestling in the Midwest. When we were together last the Pride of Kansas City, Jeff King, was successful in defending his title. He’ll defend it again tonight when he faces the two sport athlete Dasher Hatfield.

(Epstein is once again interrupted by the Locals in Favor of Prohibition, Dick J. Lahart, Hugo Lexington, Gavin Q. Volstead & Cammeron S. Sheppard.)

Lexington: Excuse me sir, I’m sorry to have to interrupt you again, but we have a point of contention we need to discuss.

(The locals enter the ring. Lahart looks very irritated as Lexington, Volstead and Sheppard seem to be keeping their composure, but have sour looks on their face.)

Epstein: Gentlemen, couldn’t we do this at some other time? I think these fans would rather get to the fine wrestling we have in store.

Lahart: Just shut your mouth! I was assaulted by three hoolums at the last show and I’m not going to stand for it. If this is the kind of trash you are going to allow to compete here then maybe you aren’t fit to run this outfit.

Lexington: Now, now Mr. Lahart, please get a hold of yourself. Mr. Epstein, please excuse Mr. Lahart, as he has been caused to lose his temper as a result of the events he mentioned, but he does have a valid point. We were assaulted last time by three individuals that had no business being involved in our match. What do you plan to do about this?

Epstein: First off, the next time Mr. Lahart or anyone else around here disrespects me that way, they will regret they ever came to Kansas City. I agree that what happened at our last show was a bit uncalled for and as a result Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti and his associates were chastised. As a matter of fact I have invited them here tonight to offer an explanation for their actions. Here are The Associates.

(The Associates (Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti, Niles ‘Sozio’ Young & Biff Busick) make their way to the ring. The three men seem to have a chip on their shoulder and are all business. Lahart needs to be restrained by his compatriots as The Associates enter the ring.)

Epstein: Lexington, get your man under control or he’s not going to be welcome here much longer. Now Mr. Moretti, please, explain why you and your associates have come to Kansas City and have involved yourself in KC’s Finest.

Moretti: We represent individuals with interest in several of the taverns here in this fine city and it was brought to our attention these men may be threatening those interests. Honestly, we could care less about the taverns, these four cogliones or this cesso, as long as we get paid what we’re promised, and so far that’s the case.

Lahart (yelling): You dirty, rotten, no good, smelly bimbos! You must be zozzled if you think we’re going to let this applesauce fly. (Getting in Epstein’s face again): There is no reason for their kind to be here and I expect you to do something about it right now.

Epstein: That will be just about enough of this. Mr. Lahart, I warned you earlier that you would regret challenging me and I don’t deal in empty promises. Since it seems you are itching for a fight, I will give it to you. Lahart, choose two of your three associates to face Moretti and his Associates. Do it now.

(Epstein has a few words for The Associates as he exits the ring.)

Locals In Favor of Prohibition (Dick J. Lahart, Gavin Q. Volstead & Cammeron S. Sheppard) w/Hugo Lexington vs. The Associates (Bruno ‘Baby Face’ Moretti, Niles ‘Sozio’ Young & Biff Busick)
Lahart started out the match for his team by attacking Moretti before the bell. Lahart’s overzealousness worked for him early on, but then he missed a turnbuckle charge and tumbled out of the ring. Young and Busick capitalized as Moretti kept the ref’s attention. Lahart was roughed up pretty good by Young and Busick before they rolled him back in the ring. Lahart was eventually able to tag leading to Volstead and Sheppard being able to isolate Moretti in their corner and utilize quick tags to stay fresh. Moretti was able to eventually fight out of his opponents’ corner and as Moretti again distracted the ref, Sozio was able to hit Volstead with an enzuigiri. The action continued back and forth until The Associates were able to isolate Lahart in their corner. Moretti was able to distract the ref once again, allowing his partners to brutalize Lahart in their corner, choking him with a baseball bat and abusing him with rapid kidney punches. The Locals didn’t help their cause as they entered the ring to help their partner, but were stopped by the ref. Lahart finally stumbled out of the corner into SWIMMING WIT THE FISHES from Moretti, who made the pin. After the match The Associates continued to brutalize Lahart. Young and Busick kept the rest of The Locals at bay while Moretti delivered brutal kidney punches and body stomps to Lahart. Eventually The Associates concluded their assault and left the ring, allowing Dr. Jacob Omen and the other members of The Locals to tend to Lahart.

‘Felino de Hierro’ Louis Lyndon vs. Mary Elizabeth Monroe
Lyndon may’ve taken his opponent lightly, but Monroe definitely showed what she is made of. The action spilled out of the ring, where Monroe hit him with a cross body off the ring apron, causing him to hit his head hard on the ground outside the ring. Although Lyndon continued the match he seemed to be a little off balance. Monroe took advantage of Lyndon’s fogginess and made him submit to a RAINBOW CROSS. After the match Dr. Sam Sheppard checked on Lyndon as he was helped to the back. They passed ‘Big’ Sue Jackson as he made his way to the ring for the next match. Jackson was not short on words for Lyndon, telling him how pathetic it was that he was defeated by a woman.

‘Big’ Sue Jackson vs. ‘Burly’ Bill Taylor
It was a hard hitting slugfest between these to powerful men. After several minutes of brutal back and forth action, Taylor beat Jackson with a pendulum backbreaker.

Marion Fontaine vs. Nicholas Valentino
Fontaine dominated the match and took Valentino out with a PUGILIST’S HOOK.

The Jackson County Jeepers (Clean & Jerk) vs. The Good Doctors (Dr. Jacob Omen & Dr. Sam Sheppard)
The Doctors were busy tonight tending to injuries of the other wrestlers so it remained to be seen if they even had time to prepare for this match. This match broke down early as Clean slammed Sheppard through the time keepers table at ringside. The ref disqualified Clean for his blatant disregard for the rules, but The Jeepers really didn’t seem to care. The Jeepers were nonchalant and indifferent as they left Sheppard motionless in what remained of the destroyed table. Omen mad his way over to his partner and pulled some sort of elixir form his medical bag. Omen gave Sheppard some of the elixir and Sheppard sprang to his feet as if nothing had happened. The two men returned to the back having a discussion about the wonders of modern medicine.

The Moonshin’ Men of Appalachia (Chuck Taylor & Jock Samson) vs. Gregory Iron & Heidi The Riveter
Heidi insisted on starting the match for her team and Iron obliged. It proved to a mistake as The Moonshin’ Men quickly overpowered Heidi. Taylor pinned Heidi after an AWFUL WAFFLE.

PRIDE OF KANSAS CITY TITLE MATCH
Dasher Hatfield vs. PRIDE OF KANSAS CITY Jeff King
Hatfield was all over the champ and dominated most of the match. King survived everything Hatfield gave him and was able to capitalize on a mistake by his opponent when Hatfield set to early for a back body drop. King countered with a piledriver then locked in a BEAR HUG. Hatfield was barely conscious after the piledriver and passed out while in the clutches of King.

(Epstein entered the ring and delivered the belt back to the champion. King snatched his trophy from the promoter with a sneer. King played to the crowd espousing his own praises before leaving Epstein in the center of the ring. Before Epstein thanked the crowd for their attendance, he made an important announcement.)

Epstein: Fans before you leave I have announcement to make. Given the success and popularity of the tag teams that compete for KC’s Finest I have decided to create the KC’s FINEST TAG TEAM title. I am accepting applications for teams interested in competing for this title and hope to have an announcement at the next show for when and how I will crown those champions. Thank you for attending today’s event and I look forward to seeing all of you at the next show.

In the "Olde" product line, Old Timer Jeff King is always a tough competitor so it will be tough to wrestle that belt away from him.

Tag team titles on the way sounds great.
