I’d like to see a version with the boxes at the bottom of the mat and the other things above the cards on top. That way I’m not reaching over token markers to roll on the cards That's an excellent point Rob. The way I lay out my play area is a rolling space on a mouse pad in front of me to deaden the hard clacking sounds of the dice and keep them from rolling away. Then the cards above that and then all my tokens above and on the cards and then all the charts above the tokens. So like you're saying my ideal play mat would invert the layout that Grant has here. |

That’s exactly how I do it now with my current game mat. It’s pretty much just become a giant rolling mat to absorb the dice like you said. I tried keeping tokens at the start, but my forearms kept bumping stuff around. That’s what gave me the idea to flip the mat. Cards at the bottom and tokens etc up top, I think it would be really great if we had a mat like that. Edit: Apparently we do! (And I forgot) Nice. |

That way I’m not reaching over token markers to roll on the cards I KNEW that I would be knocking my pennies all over the place if I got the one with the counters on the bottom...and that's why I asked Grant to flip the boxes as you see in the some of those pictures he linked to a few posts ago. I have the one with the Deimos Intergalactic Arena as the image. Not only do I love it, but my wife does as well since she doesn't hear the dice ratting at all anymore. |

Toasterboy; I know this thread is ancient - but do you have a place that you went to order the pads and what size to you use with the photo to make it work? Just a fan trying to better organize my playing space. |

malicelover - I'm sure there are other places but these are formatted for the Custom Game Mats offered by Inked Gaming at www.inkedgaming.com/collections/all-custom-playmatsThe two sizes in this thread are for the Standard and Oversized game mats. I'm working on an updated design where the text in the lower boxes (Distractor, Outside interference, etc) are easier to read. Hope to have them up soon.
