I started playing physical and played from 97-02. Due to losing all my cards, when I came back I bought digital. But I couldn’t get into it so I went physical then stepped away again. Now that I’m back I’m all digital. I miss holding the cards, but that’s it. Online is such a streamlined experience. I just lean back on my couch or during the summer sit on the porch and play on my tablet. I pretty much can play anywhere and that allows me time to play more. Lots of great insight here. Thanks for the great responses. I'm leaning toward sticking with online, but I may try a few physical sets as well. For you guys that do online, how do you make managers work (I can't figure out how to add them to a match.) Also, do you use any resources or game aids that you'd be willing to share? I just screenshot the manager’s card. Didn’t think to do what Troy mentioned.

Ok. You guys have convinced me to give online another shot. One more question. How do you go about finding and using bootlegs for the online game? I've found some on this site, but the links all seem to go nowhere. There are quite a few wrestlers (The Von Erichs, Ric Flair, Rick Steamboat, etc) That I'd love to add to the game. I've seen those boots for the physical game, but is there an easy way to get them for online?

For the boots go to the online store and buy Create a Character cards, they are blank and you just have to add the boots in that way, that is what I do. Edit: I take that back, I just looked all over the store and could not find any CAC cards to buy. Hey TM why are the CAC cards not in the store anymore? Edit again: Forget what I said, I found them, here is the link, scroll all the way down to the bottom. www.cotgonline.com/os-category.php?a=21

This will always be a tabletop game for me!
As a collector I love having all the physical cards.
Also, I'm lucky enough to have a lot of people to play with. I do enjoy rolling matches myself, but I prefer to play with others. I think the results are more honest that way. Try as I might, when playing alone, I find myself favoring one wrestler over another. When both players are playing to win, it makes a huge difference.

Thanks for pointing that out!! When creating a card, how do I add the artwork? In other words can I add a pic or scan of the wrestler somehow?

I love having all the physical cards and booklets. I print all the pdf-only cards and booklets, simply because I enjoy sitting on my couch and reading them. Ink for my HP Deskjet gets expensive, but to me it's worth it! I only use Online for the match simulator, which I use whenever possible.

Physical Card for my official federation.
I like using online when I get the itch to do a Kronos-like cross edition match or two.

I can appreciate the usefulness of Online for those that like it and have their reasons for liking it. I still prefer to play with physical cards for a number of reasons, I guess. One of them is that it's how I've been playing since the 90s. I'm used to it, I guess. My big reason is that I can play with my cards when we lose power during a bad storm, or the internet goes down during the peak hours that I'm awake late at night (because of f**k you, Comcast). Another reason I am leery of playing Online is that I already spend a ton of time at my computer and sometimes it's nice to step away from it, go to another room with my cards and dice and just play. Sometimes unplugging myself from the computer is quite necessary to maintain my mental health. Totally agree ajcostello. I have been an unplugged player from day one. But it's totally awesome that it can all be played online. I get into as much of a zone as I can when I play, and for the same reasons. The only change I've made is I use random.org to actually "roll the dice". Although I love the little dice, the little bastards kept bouncing off the table and across the room on me lol. Interesting question "Dr Death" Ric Anderson!
