It was given an MMA feel to differentitate it from the GWF (As people seemed not to like 3 different helpings of regular wrestling, Mark decided to give some MMA touches as he had been building the idea for years)

If the writer can chime in here: Although I'd known about the UFC and similar organizations for years and based characters like Shylock and Stigma on MMA guys, I really started getting into MMA about 5 years ago, and that spurred me into wanting to make an MMA system for Champions of the Galaxy. The name and attitude switch to the POW last year was the perfect occasion to do that. Troy's right in that I wanted there to be a different feel to the fed than the GWF. Since aCe had its elements of certain types of characters being better or worse depending on who they were fighting, there wasn't really anything that gave the CPC/POW its own appeal. MMA was the answer. Darth Turkish on this board was a big help in getting it off the ground and will no doubt continue to be in the upcoming sets.

That being said, there's always the option to go with only wrestling in POW, too, if that's what you're into. Just an alternative for those who want to dabble.

Yeah, the CPC became its own fed separate from the GWF in 2109. The MMA move just came with the last set, POW Revival 2122.

yes.....and you can still do it in 2122 as well (as there are still wrestler cards for POW)
