Added to the International Legends Library under the Shinya Hashimoto Folder: Shinya Hashimoto & Masahiro Chono vs Keiji Mutoh & Hiro Hase 11/4/93This was from New Japan and marked the semi-finals of that year's Super Grade Tag League. The format was a point system (2 points for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss) and the winner of this match would advance to the Championship Round. A solid tag featuring the 3 Muskateers...with Hase putting in a stellar effort as expected.

Added to the International Legends Library under the Tatsumi Fujinami Folder: Tatsumi Fujinami vs Antonio Inoki 9/19/85This was from New Japan. The archetypal story of 'student vs teacher'. The match starts with a handshake...but when the competitive fires burst aflame...will it end that way? Inoki and Fujinami were two of the Founding Fathers of NJPW yet were always pegged at different tiers. TF was credited with 'inventing' the Dragon Suplex and Dragon Sleeper and he learned a great deal from his mentor. Watch to find out if the aging legend still has a few tricks up his sleeve in this scientific classic. Lou Thesz stands in as special ref with the winner being awarded the vaunted Karl Gotch Championship Belt.

Added to the International Legends Library under the Tiger Mask Folder: Sammy Lee vs Jim Breaks 7/18/81This was from World of Sport and was contested at a Catch Weight under a max of eight rounds at five minutes. Sammy Lee was the touring persona of a young Satoru Sayama. SS would later go on to perfect his skills in New Japan as the Original Tiger Mask...fusing the mat work he learned from the UK circuit with high end acrobatics. Cry Baby Jimmy Breaks was a perennial Middleweight Champion and easily ranks as one of the great heels of British pro wres history. JB was able to effectively project a mix of dramatic/comedic ring theatrics with a very high level of technical proficiency. Make note of Breaks' post match antics. A good glimpse of both.

Added to the International Legends Folder under the Tiger Mask Folder: Tiger Mask vs Bret Hart (WWF Jr. Title) 5/2/82 This was from New Japan. As mentioned in a previous post, Satoru Sayama combined the mat work elements he perfected in the UK with high end acrobatics as he came to prominence in the role of Tiger Mask. 'Cowboy' Bret Hart is seen at a formative stage of his career with about six years of ring time. How adept was a 25 year old Bret when matched against Tiger Mask at his peak? Watch and judge for yourself!
