The WWE officially announced Wrestlemania 36 for April 5. 2020 in Tampa.
The date works perfectly for me because for the first ttime in 5 years it will be during my first weekend of Spring Break so I intend to be there (I will probably have to miss the Thursday shows though but will take that Friday off from work and fly in Thursday night.) WWN also announced today they will be doing their shows at the site of the old Armory during Mania weekend 2020.
This will be my first time in Tampa so I plan to do some sight seeing for a day or two after Wrestlemania 36 as I will have that entire week off.
Ironically, my Westlemania attendance has been an every 5 years thing:
Wrestlemania 26 (in Phoenix)
Wrestlemania 31 (in San Jose/San Francisco)
Wrestlemania 36 (in Tampa)
Those are the times that Mania weekend has coincided with my Spring Break (otherwise it just makes more sense to stay home and stream the shows then spend the money flying out across the country on Friday night and flying back on Sunday night.) However I plan to go to the likely upcoming Manias in both Los Angeles (at the new Rams/Chargers stadium) and of course here in Las Vegas (at the new Raiders stadium) regardless of whether those events match up with my Spring Break.

Be prepared for high hotel costs. Not just in Tampa, that is obvious, but surrounding areas. That is the end of the busy season down here. I tweeted to RoH to give them a heads up a week or so ago. They hold shows here in Lakeland including Supercard of Honor when Mania was in Orlando. When they did that it was week before Sun-n-Fun here in Lakeland. Next year the weekend of Mania is weekend of Sun-n-Fun which means this city will be packed. Normally are rates are around $179-199 that time of year but during that event we are $279-309. The good news is for wrestling fans that like planes and have free time they can come over and check out the show.

I plan on making it Mania weekend #9 even if I can't stay for Mania itself. The one person at work who could bump me from vacation time is married to a teacher & they go away Easter vacation week every year, so I might need to be back to work by Monday morning.

But I am not worried about that at all as I have a friend who is a PWG and Bar Wrestling employee who goes with another friend of mine to Mania every year and they have both already told me I can crash with them so that reduces any hotel bill for me down to just 1/3. I will have to wait for the schedule and see where everything is located but I think the shows I most want to attend on Mania weekend next year are ROH's Supercard of Honor, GCW shows, and MLW. Right now I am just really into ROH, GCW, and MLW.

Ironically the thing that makes it possible for me to go next year is that it is during Easter weekend as Easter always happens during one of our 2 Spring Break weekends.

I bought my flight to Tampa Bay last month. It looks like I am going to try to spend some time at The Cuban Club in Ybor City:

WWE announced the date tickets go on sale for Wrestlemania 36. This will be my 3rd Mania weekend though and the only WWE show I go to that weekend is Wrestlemania (Hall of Fame and Takeover are both on the WWE Network that I can just watch later) as I plan to spend my time on Friday and Saturday going to as many Indy shows as possible:
WWE has announced that WrestleMania 36 tickets will go on sale Friday, November 15. Travel packages will go on sale 10 days earlier on Tuesday, November 5.
Ticket prices will range from $35 – $1,000. The limited “Gold Circle” VIP Packages will range from $2,000 – $2,500.
WWE also confirmed WrestleMania 36 Axxess from the Tampa Convention Center that week, plus four events at the Amalie Arena – the 2020 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, SmackDown, WWE NXT Takeover, and RAW.
WrestleMania 36 takes place on April 5, 2020 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.
