Gauntlet Match: Red Bastien d Jim Powers with the ATOMIC DROP.
Next week, Red will face Rob Van Dam in his second gauntlet match.
Greg Valentine d “Beautiful” Bobby Shane with a shoulder breaker.
After the match, Jim Cornette comes down to ringside with a microphone.
Cornette: “Oh My God! This guy thinks he can copy Bobby Eaton with the name “Beautiful” and he gets his ass kicked in like a minute by Greg Valentine. That’s PATHETIC!”
Shane, angry both at being beaten and at Cornette’s badgering slides out of the ring and goes after Cornette. As Jim starts to run, Bobby Eaton appears at ringside and attacks Shane with Corny’s tennis racket. Shane is left laying in a pool of his own blood at ringside.
As help comes to take Shane away, Bobby stays out for his match, which is up next.

Johnny Valentine eliminated Stan Hansen in a 10 man battle royal to determine who gets a shot a North American champion AJ Styles next week.
International Title Match: Lou Thesz d Pampero Firpo with the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP to retain the title.
Terry Funk has just announced that he wants to see Bruiser Brody and Randy Savage face Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito again. The brutality seems to excite him.
Randy Savage and Bruiser Brody d Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito when Savage pinned Mr. Fuji with a flying crossbody block from the top rope.

Gauntlet Match: Red Bastien d Rob Van Dam with the ATOMIC DROP. This might be the biggest upset in CWI history! If Red Bastien wins next week against Nikolai Volkoff, he will join the main roster.

Terry Funk has announced that he wants to see Bobby Eaton face Bobby Shane after what happened last week. That match is up next.
Bobby Eaton d Bobby Shane with the ALABAMA JAM
Bruiser Brody is in the ring to talk about his main event match tonight. A world title shot at the Patriot.
Brody: “Somebody up there finally realized that I deserve a shot at that masked coward, the Patriot! Tonight, I’m gonna beat him so bad, he’s gonna put on a different mask and change his name to “The Masked Chicken!”
International Title Match: Lou Thesz d Randy Savage with the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP. This was a tough match, Savage got several 2-counts on Thesz, but Lou’s knowledge of grappling techniques allowed him to counter most of Randy’s offense.
After the match, Stan Hansen runs in and starts putting the boots to Thesz. He hits him with THE LARIAT and then grabs a mic and screams “Maybe this will get me dadgum title shot!!” Lou will be wrestling hurt for 3 weeks.
Thesz is limping to the back, but someone sticks a mic in his face. “Stan Hansen thinks he can win by hurting me? That’s the only way he has a chance. I’ll meet him anytime and I’ll put this belt on the line.”
North American Title Match: AJ Styles d Johnny Valentine in a brutal match that saw both men hit their finishers not be able to get the job done. Styles finally won with the Pele Kick.
World Title Match: The Patriot d Bruiser Brody with a neckbreaker slam, after hitting 2 different finishers to retain the championship.

Terry Funk is standing in the ring as the show opens. He states that the World title should be defended more often, so tonight, there will be a match between two top contenders, Bobby Eaton and Johnny Valentine. The winner will face The Patriot next week.
Gauntlet Match: Red Bastien d Nikolai Volkoff with the ATOMIC DROP. This is his third straight win and he will replace William Muldoon on the main roster.
Next week, the new gauntlet begins with Redd Dogg facing Ron Hutchinson.
Nick Bockwinkel and Ray Stevens d Bruiser Brody and Randy Savage when Stevens hit a CRIPPLING PILEDRIVER on Savage.
Stan Hansen d Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the LARIAT. Hansen withstood 3 of Duggan’s FLYING SPEARS before he finally connected with his finisher.
Johnny Valentine d Bobby Eaton after hitting 2 ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS. JV will get a shot at The Patriot for the World title next week.
North American Title Match: AJ Styles d Pampero Firpo with the Styles Clash
World Tag Team Title Match- The Miracle Violence Connection d the Tolos Bros. When Gordy pinned John with a Samoan Drop.

Gauntlet Match: Scorpio Sky d Magnum TA with the ACE OF SPADES
Next week, Scorpio Sky will continue the gauntlet against Drew Galloway.
Bobby Eaton d Stan Hansen with a slingshot backbreaker
Jim Cornette grabs the mic as soon as Eaton is announced the winner:
Cornette: Who expected Bobby Eaton to beat Stan Hansen clean in the middle of the ring? I DID!! Bobby Eaton and the Midnight Express are the most dominant thing going in wrestling today. We can beat ANYBODY!!
Greg and Johnny Valentine d Pampero Firpo and Super Crazy when Greg caught Super Crazy with a hammer coming out of the turnbuckle. This was a wild match from the very beginning with both teams getting multiple near pinfalls.
Stan Hansen eliminated Sam Houston to win a 10 man battle royal. As a result of this win Hansen gets an international title shot next week! Jerry Lynn recorded the most eliminations with 6.
The winner of the following match will be awarded a shot at the world tag team championship next week.
Mike and Ted Dibiase d The Fantastics when Mike knocked Tommy Rogers out with a series of punches. Each side had multiple near falls in this back and forth match.
Jim Garvin and Steve Regal d The Rock n Roll Express when Garvin caught Ricky Morton with the BRAINBUSTER.
After the match, Regal and Garvin are taunting Gibson while Morton is trying to recover. Gibson loses his temper and punches Garvin which leads to both men attacking Gibson. Morton recovers somewhat and tries to help but he’s in no condition to keep fighting after being dropped on his head. Regal and Garvin finally leave the ring with the Rock n Rolls down in the ring.
Once order is restored, commissioner Terry Funk orders a rematch for next week.
Nick Bockwinkel d Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER.
Randy Savage and Bruiser Brody d Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito when Savage landed the FLYING ELBOW DROP on Saito.
International Title Match: Lou Thesz d Gorgeous George with a double wristlock. George survived the GRECO ROMAN BACKDROP before falling victim to Lou’s deadly wristlock.
World Tag Team Title Match: The Miracle Violence Connection d The Love Brothers when Terry Gordy hit the BAMM BAMM SLAM on Hartford Love.

Nick Bockwinkel d King Kong Bundy by submission with the abdominal stretch.
Randy Savage d Pampero Firpo with the FLYING ELBOW DROP after a very long, back and forth match that saw both men take a ton of punishment.
Gorgeous George and Super Crazy d The Fantastics when George made Rogers submit to the SPINNING TOE HOLD
In a match to determine who gets an International Championship match next week, Johnny Valentine d Mr. Saito after hitting two straight ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS.
Rock n Roll Express vs Jim Garvin and Steve Regal: This match quickly degenerated into a brawl involving all four men. Both teams were disqualified because the referee completely lost control and could not regain enough order to even start the match.
International Championship Match: Lou Thesz d Stan Hansen with the THESZ PRESS
World Tag Team Title Match: The Miracle Violence Connection beat Mike and Ted Dibiase when Gordy hit the BAMM BAMM SLAM for the second time on Mike Dibiase

Gauntlet Match: Rock Riddle d Johnny Valiant with the BOSTON CRAB. In the first match of his gauntlet run
Bobby Eaton d The Patriot when Jim Cornette jumped up on the apron and hit The Patriot with a foreign object.
Tommy Rogers eliminated John Tolos to win a 10 man battle royal to determine who gets a shot at the International Title next week. Tommy eliminated 5 men, while Gorgeous George eliminated 4.
While everyone is leaving the ringside area, Al Snow comes to ringside and grabs a mic. Snow has not wrestled for CWI before, so I’m not sure what he’ll have to say.
Snow: “Everybody here knows who I am. I’m a world renowned wrestler who has been on top everywhere I’ve been. As such, I deserve a shot at whatever title I choose. Well I choose to beat the hell out of AJ Styles and take that North American title. In fact, I hearby demand a shot at that title right here, tonight!!
“Wait just a damn minute..you demand?” The gravely voice of Terry Funk comes out over the loudspeakers. “You snot nosed little jackass! I was winning world titles before you were even a sparkle in your momma’s eye! If you want a title here, you’ve gotta earn it. But that’s actually pretty simple. All you gotta do is beat the man I put in front of you tonight and you’ll get your title shot!”
Snow agrees and it looks like we have a main event tonight.

Greg and Johnny Valentine d Scott Casey and Sam Houston when Greg Valentine made Casey submit to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
The Flying Redheads d Mr. Fuji and Mr. Saito by DQ when Saito threw salt in the eyes of Billy Red Lyons.
As Fuji and Saito walk through the curtain to the backstage area, Fuji holds up the package of salt with the “Mortons” brand displayed prominently and smiles that creepy, sadistic smile of his. Is this his idea of product placement?
VSK and Dorian Graves d The Love Brothers when Dorian pinned Hartford with the HOT TOWEL DRIVER.
Bobby Shane d Gorgeous George in under a minute with a rolling reverse cradle.
It’s time for the main even and Al Snow is in the ring waiting for his opponent. The lights dim and I can barely see who’s coming down...Wait..It looks like commisioner Funk picked the wildest man he could find to take on Al Snow tonight. His opponent is none other than Pampero Firpo!
