Announced earlier this morning by IMPACT, Eli Drake’s contract has been terminated and he has been fired from the company. PW Insider reports that management was unhappy with Drake’s refusal to wrestle Tessa Blanchard at United We Stand, nor were they happy with how vocal Drake was about it on social media. His original deal was set to expire on May 31st. IMPACT issued the following statement:
Impact Wrestling announced today that it has terminated its relationship with Shaun Ricker, known as ‘Eli Drake’.
Following a brief run in WWE developmental, Drake debuted in IMPACT back in 2015

Impact shouldn't have tried to force it, and Drake shouldn't go on Social Media. Both sides didn't handle it the best. Eli Drake will be fine, he'll land on his feet else where.

I'm surprised Impact didn't ask Eli before scheduling it. I have a feeling there were other issues going on and they were maybe trying to punish him. Either way he shouldn't have taken to social media like that.

Aw no, Eli Drake was my Impact favourite.
Why did they want him to wrestle Tessa "Butterface" Blanchard? It's bad enough they have Scarlett Bordeaux making fellas look stupid.
