I've been seeing Agony as a sort of Abyss type, actually. Immensely dangerous, but someone's always pulling his strings. Oracle would fit the "Father James Mitchell but a wrestler" mold well. I see Agony kind of like Batista. Can’t wait to see others reactions soon. .....As in Bautista when he was Leviathan in OVW?

Ok. I am going to express my opinion. I'll probably get booed off the message board, but I think after over 30 years of buying COTG, I'm entitled. I am looking forward to getting the CWF set. I ordered it the day it went on sale. But I would be just as excited, if not more so, if there had been about half the teasers. Think back. Tom did no teasers for the first part of Future Shock because to have done so would have given the story away. People were just as excited to get it because they didn't know anything about what was in it. For years, before the web site, all we knew about a new set coming out was what Tom hinted at in the Promoter or in the order form, and, maybe, one or two pictures. Personally, I like to see the artwork and the information on the wrestlers when I have the cards in my hands. Look back over this thread. People have already made decisions about the people in the set based solely on the artwork and what little has been said about them, and it may not be right or what Mike intends, but it is the opinion they will carry into their use of the set. If they have decided that a character is a heel, they will use him as a heel even if Mike presents him as a face, because they made their decision before they knew anything other than what he looks like. As I said, this is just my opinion, but I would really like to see less teasers. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

I actually plan to go by the book for a while... and then I may play around with cards not in the CWF set.

Here is my stand on things... The most of us are all adults now. If I want to see Game of Thrones show with no spoilers then I will everything in my power to avoid it. Goes the same for Marvel movies or what have you. If you don't want to see artwork then don't click on the main page or don't come into this thread. I like to see these things so I know what I'm getting so I can decide if its worth my money. These days I dont have the money like I use to and these help me to decide if I want to spend my money of them. I'm not saying this in any type of angry tone or anything, just if you dont want spoilers then there are ways to avoid them until you get the set. I never go with a cannon from the handbooks. I actually just messaged Pariah what my ideas for this set was and it will probably be so far left field of the handbook. But, I like to be creative and do my own thing. The handbook just gives me a look into the characters personalities and who they are like. I just need to get down in my head a feel for the character to come up with great angles and feuds.

You have the right to your opinion. You can play your fed how you want. Just like everyone else. Sure it might be hard but people can avoid spoilers if they want. Don't look at main page of site and avoid spoiler threads. For me I'm running my fed how I want spoilers are not. I love the great story Tom creates but I use it as a starting point/inspiration for what I want to do. For me the spoilers got my creative juices going and got me layimg groundwork for what will be finalized when I get the book. Which I will have in just a few more days woo, woo.

I have heard from many people that they wish there were more teasers for the GWF sets like we used to get, and that the lack of them recently may have hurt the buzz on some recent GWF sets. I'm sure there are others like you that like the lack of GWF teasers. I think Mike did a good job of teasing guys but not spoiling all the key parts of their characters, while also leaving a few characters completely unrevealed. Your opinion may vary, but I think this is one of the more buzzed about sets in recent memory on the COTG side of things.

I like teasers; 1-3 surprises is fun with the release. I understand why Future Shock was released the way it was a few years ago, though. Honestly, I’ve had so much fun imagining the CWF in my head; teasers keep the hype going. What also makes this set super for me is it’s a new jumping on point for people behind or not currently playing GWF.
