Card 1 - HEAVYWEIGHT BELT TOURNAMENT - Centra Palladium:

NON TOURNAMENT MATCHES

Cringe and Grovel defeat Slaughterhouse by DQ. Magnus the Magnanimous (will call him Colby from now on) leads out possibly the most violent team ever conceived. True to their roots they brutalise their opponents. In a torrid beating Cringe gets whacked with Colby’s metal briefcase after falling outside the ring and then later smashed with Mayhem’s chain. The referee has seen enough and calls time on the match. Colby brags that they don’t care that they lost the match and this is his team sounding a warning to the rest of the CWF.

Command and Control beats Truth and Consequences. Fan reaction is off the charts towards the returning Adam Blast and he doesn’t dissapoint them. Together he and Star Slayer link up perfectly to finish Tortured Soul who is hit with MAD MAT followed by ADAM’S ATOMIC DROP before finally getting pinned by Adam after a fist drop. Nobody is going to be able to withstand an array of moves like that in such short succession. Only glimpses of Agony in the ring during this one. It will be interesting to see how Agony is booked going forward. Will this monster be in the hunt for titles or used as a special attraction? It’s very clear Agony can be immensely dangerous with Oracle pulling the strings.

Saboteur upsets Minister of War after using TRIPWIRE. It wasn’t even done as part of an out on nowhere comeback as Saboteur was on top at the time. Colby’s team licking their wounds and hoping for better in the tournament matches after posting two losses in the undercard.

TOURNAMENT MATCHES

(Round 1) Evolution gets the rub of the draw and receives a bye into next round.

Lord Nexus eliminated Lance At-Las. Amazing draw as the two most popular stars get drawn to face off. There is a quick handshake but then it’s all down to business. The two stars serve up fantastic fluid action with Lance’s determination more than matching the legendary agility of Lord Nexus. In fact Lance looks the more likely winner and manages to unleash MARS MANHANDLER and CENTRA LEG SWEEP (twice) during the course of the match but Lord Nexus shows great inner determination to kick out each time. He uses this as a catalyst for a fightback and Lance seems surprised as Lord Nexus rallies with a wave of attacks culminating in THE APEX which affords Lord Nexus the win and a spot in the final four.

Chaos Supreme is too powerful for Oracle. As if the draw couldn’t of been any more exciting after the two most popular guys get pitted we have the opposite here as the two biggest heels meet. Oracle starts the better but only manages a couple of minutes in the ascendancy before Chaos takes over thanks to his immense strength (perhaps only Agony within the CWF can match up to him in this respect). Using BOW OF DEFEAT several times to wear Oracle down Chaos then nails Indestructible Drop to bring the bout to an end.

Mister Centra pinned Prime Colonizer in the best tournament match so far. Mister Centra is a technical beast who runs down the fans and knows how good he is. He is a typical cowardly heel. Mandrill is on a lust for power and believes he should be the leader of Future Shock. It’s a volatile mix which easily makes this the tie of the round. The battle swings in momentum constantly with Mister Centra busted open as a result of Mandrill’s devastating offense. Perhaps if Mandrill hadn’t gone to the top rope and tried a deathjump (which was reversed) he might of been toasting a significant win. Mister Centra is able to weather the storm and builds steady offense of his own until he feels he has a chance to to unleash his finisher. VECTOR ONE VERVE (+4) is executed perfectly and Mister Centra goes for the pin. Colby jumps up onto the apron and makes a weak attempt to distract the ref but it fails and the Prime Colonizer is out of the race for the Heavyweight belt. Post match rumblings are that Mandrill is unhappy with Colby’s attempts to interfere. He thinks he could of done more and that Colby is more behind Chaos Supreme’s efforts to win the belt.

(Round 2)

Chaos Supreme labours to victory over Evolution to qualify for the championship match. Maybe it’s because he is fresher that Evolution is able to start much the stronger. Colby looks worried outside and shouts frantic instructions to Chaos. The words seem to have an affect as Chaos stems the tide and slowly begins wearing Evolution down. His favourite move BOW OF DEFEAT is deployed a number of times and finally the crushing hug gets the better of Evolution.

Mister Centra wins another classic against Lord Nexus. High impact moves and incredible skills dominate the match but of course Mister Centra is always looking for a cheating angle to grab an advantage. He soon starts to gain the upper hand and Lord Nexus finds his resistance fading. Mister Centra hits Lord Nexus with Forced Eviction and Can You Feel It? It’s the textbook setup for VECTOR ONE VERVE. Lord Nexus still manages a kick out but he’s a split second too late. Mister Centra flaunts the win and will take on Chaos for the belt on #4. He covets titles perhaps more than anyone else and says he will be doing anything he can to win.



Card 2 - TAG TEAM BELT TOURNAMENT - Mecatoid Megadome:

NON TOURNAMENT MATCHES

Zealos beats Saboteur by DQ. The wild Zealos from the badlands has made it clear he intends to drive all outsiders from the CWF. Saboteur is his first target (he finds the turban Saboteur wears distasteful and an insult to his people) but Zealos finds the going tough. Saboteur is the better wrestler but in preparing himself to be hardcore for the upcoming carnage tournament he goes over the top. He decks Zealos with a chair having initiated an out of ring brawl which costs him the decision. Nonetheless Saboteur is looking good and surges into his next match full of confidence.

Prime Colonizer scrambles to a win over Lance At-Las. Magnus Colby ensures he is at ringside to show he is managing the affairs of Mandrill on the same level as Chaos. Colby plays his part with a key intervention. Lance has just taken Mandrill down with CENTRA LEG SWEEP. Before he can cover him Colby climbs into the ring opening his brief case and offers Lance all the money inside to join the Future Shock team. Lance pauses for a few seconds and then to the cheer of the crowd kicks the case sending the cash flying. Trouble is whilst this is going on Mandrill is able to recover and smash Lance from behind changing the whole complexion of the match. It is now Lance under severe pressure and although he still has plenty of fight left Mandrill is able to build his attacks and start putting tokens on him. Mandrill comes close to ending it with COLONIZER CLAW SLAM but Lance gets a foot on the ropes. Later Mandrill takes the risk of SIMIAN SKULLCRUSHER. Lance is looking groggy and can’t get out the way meaning it’s curtains for the big crowd hero.

Lord Nexus beats Total Anarchy by DQ decision. Oracle says he will wrestle Lord Nexus if he defeats Total Anarchy but he has seen the future and knows this will not happen. It’s a short match and an anti-climax. Oracle backtracks on his vision and says sometimes the future is clouded but technically he was still correct because Lord Nexus failed to beat Total Anarchy cleanly.

TOURNAMENT MATCHES

(Round 1) Slaughterhouse received a bye to the next round.

Cringe and Grovel knock out Truth and Consequences. This was not a pretty match at all. Barely any decent wrestling. Grovel scores the pin on Tortured Soul after a middle rope head butt. We see a lot more of Agony in the ring this time but for such a huge beast his attacks look random and ineffective. Maybe needs more time to get used to being in the ring but can this beast learn?.

Reckoning upsets Fraternity. Centauri plays a practical joke involving a gigantic hologramatic spider which freaks out Doomsayer and warms the mood of the fans. Even Nebula cracks a smile but the match soon turns into a disaster for the big favourites. Revolver dishes out some meaty punishment to Centauri and sets him up nicely for Doomsayer who comes in and uses BRAIN GAMES. Nebula tried to come in with the pin save but Revolver is alert and cuts him off whilst Doomsayer scores the pin. After the match Centauri speaks of the team’s devastation at the loss but sportingly wishes Reckoning well for the remainder of the tournament.

The Firing Squad fires the first shots by beating Command and Control. Star Slayer chooses to make a raid on the belts with Adam Blast but is equally as keen to tag team as often as possible with Lance At-Las. He promises to be as good as his word by only to using the legal version of THE APOCALYPSE in tag action (he has already said he will bend the rules if that’s what it takes to beat the villains in singles bouts). Some early wrangling between Darkest Justice (who wants the team to be called Shock Probation) and Adam Traitor (who prefers the Firing Squad) over their tag team introduction. For now Adam gets his wish but if they are already arguing over something this petty it doesn’t bode well for the future of this team. The match itself is a hot one as this intense feud is brought to the fans earlier than expected due to the draw. The animosity between Adam Blast and Adam Traitor when they go up against each other is off the charts. Initial advantage after tonight lies with Adam Traitor as he leads his team to victory against his great rival. As reward for his efforts Magnus Colby allows him to be the leader and call the team Shock Probation. Colby’s team is in a strong position with both his tag teams in the last 4

(Round 2)

Reckoning defeated Slaughterhouse by DQ. Slaughterhouse living up to their violent reputation as they slump to another DQ defeat. Colby tries to pull out all the stops with his distractions but is left exasperated by the actions of Splatter. The guy doesn’t seem to care about the titles or indeed winning matches. The match spilled outside and he borrowed Mayhem’s chain to wrap around Doomsayer’s neck. The bell went off immediately. Colby is critical in the aftermath of the CWF officials and tells them to lighten up as they are killing the entertainment of the matches. Mayhem backs his partner by saying he’d of done the same to Doomsayer given the opportunity.

Shock Probation humiliates Cringe and Grovel. It’s over in just two moves. Worked out at about 20 seconds as Adam Traitor slips out of a headlock by Cringe and nails a running lariat. Cringe is so confused by what happened he didn’t even try to kick out. This could be an early record set that will last for a long time.



Card 3 - PRIMUS CARNAGE BELT TOURNAMENT - Cepton Center:

NON TOURNAMENT MATCHES

Supernova Explosion goes over Truth and Consequences. Star Slayer and Lance in perfect sync with each other as they use swift tags to cope with their powerful opponents. They are especially effective dealing with Agony. Star Slayer gets the huge beast off it’s feet with Tomahawk Thrust and once Agony is on his back he is like a turtle that has been turned over. Star Slayer slides in for the cover whilst Lance has Tortured Soul occupied and it’s all over for an easy win. Oracle’s tag team that is supposed to be so feared is now 0-3 in tag matches. Oracle says that is no problem, “I saw this already. The team just needs some guidance to help them rise to the top. I will be at ringside for their next match to help advise them”.

Lord Nexus pinned Oracle. Lord Nexus booked his match with Oracle courtesy of his win on the last card. Both men know it is a pivotal match in the early rankings shake up. Neither progressed in the Heavyweight belt tournament to the final but victory here will put them among the top contenders. Lord Nexus is superior in every respect but nearly emerges without the pin triumph his efforts deserved. Oracle seems to have an influence over the official. First there is a slow count after Lord Nexus hits THE APEX and then when Oracle threatens to walk and take a count out loss citing illegal moves the ref stops the count to admonish Lord Nexus. As Lord Nexus protests his innocence with the ref Oracle blindsides him and sets up a sustained period of control. He puts plenty of marks on Lord Nexus and almost scores an upset with SIXTH SENSE. The small cult following among the fans that Oracle has built up makes themselves heard but they are quickly silenced as Lord Nexus makes a huge kick out. Digging deep Lord Nexus forces himself back to his feet and rallies again. This time Oracle has no more tricks to pull and falls to Flying Titan. In the aftermath Oracle makes big noises about corrupt officials and produces a tape showing Lord Nexus did not kick on time after his finisher. The whole outcome leaves a bad taste in everyone’s mouths. Lord Nexus says a rematch should settle it once and for all and Oracle immediately accepts the challenge.

Nebula defeats Adam Traitor in dramatic fashion. Adam has made his mark early with his incredible tag performances but cannot make the same splash in singles action as he loses the battle of tag specialists. Star Slayer comes to ringside despite the protestations of his friend and partner, Adam Blast, to cause intimidation. Not sure what he is trying to achieve by being there but there is a lot of bad blood here. Adam Traitor, who had been on the thick end of a lot of punishment breaks off a rare moment in the box seat. He mounts the turnbuckle and taunts Star Slayer allowing Nebula to come up behind Adam and suplex him off the top and score the pin fall.

Chaos defeated Grovel with BOW OF DEFEAT. Chaos trying to limber up for his big championship match with what he describes as a sparring session. But he finds it a real struggle. Grovel puts plenty of bumps on his head before Chaos eventually gets the better of him. Mister Centra scouts the match and uses social media to taunt Chaos, “I watched the match and was not impressed. Our title match will be a one-sided affair. I used to beat him all the time back on Dimension X. Things are no different now”. Chaos bites back, “what about your match with Revolver? That was over so quick I didn’t even have time to grab myself a drink and watch it”.

Revolver stuns Mister Centra with a stylish win. Only needing a couple of minutes before clamping his trademark FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Mister Centra worried about injuring himself taps out immediately. Strange action afterwards as Mister Centra (probably trying to save face) picks up the mic and publicly thanks Revolver for the practise session and promises to wrestle him properly soon.

Evolution wins over Mayhem Unleashed by DQ. A smash with the chain by Mayhem sets this feud in motion.

TOURNAMENT MATCHES - (All No DQ)

(Round 1)

Minister of War goes past Zealos. Two hardcore icons in the making. Zealos fights with real intensity and fury but Eye Cleaver and AETHRAN MASSACRE are too much to handle and he is defeated. Match is so entertaining the crowd are chanting “rematch, rematch”.

Saboteur beat Total Anarchy in another surprise win that reverberates around the CWF. He uses TRIPWIRE to win it. Although it is given billing as defensive move to be feared Saboteur is not needing to use it’s element of surprise. He takes great pride in the fact it is being used to finish opponents off whilst he is in control.

SELECTED PROMOS PRIOR TO #4 SHOCKWAVE SHOWDOWN ...

Chaos Supreme: “The Heavyweight belt will soon be around my waist. They tell me Mister Centra was the CWF star before we arrived. I find that pitiful. I’ve wrestled him many times before and I remember how weak he is”

Mister Centra: “I am the greatest wrestler ever. The Future Shock guys won’t change that. The competition is fiercer but it just makes my achievements even more astonishing. I have a belt fitting booked at noon tomorrow so bring it on”

Minister of War: “Saboteur will regret trying to humiliate me with his lucky victory. He is now on my hit list. Better bring a stretcher to ringside”

Oracle: (on behalf of Truth and Consequences) “Agony will feast upon them”

Lord Nexus: “There is a lot of concern among the public over the emergence of Oracle. I will show everyone that he is just a man that can be beaten in the ring. To me he is just a conjuror capable of a few neat tricks. That’s all”

Star Slayer: Calls Colby an interfering bastard, “if that briefcase comes anywhere near me he’ll be wearing that thing”

Prime Colonizer: (when asked about his tournament failure and role within Future Shock) “I’m too upset to talk about it”

Nebula: “Ever since our father helped us break into the wrestling business we have been working toward the moment of capturing the tag belts. The tournament was a disaster for us but we are working hard to put things right. Maybe less jokes from Centauri and I need to lighten up and be a little less serious. Tonight is the first step of our recovery”

Adam Traitor: “Shock Probation is on the cusp of greatness but only if my partner steps up to the plate. I have been carrying the team so far”

Doomsayer: “We will prevent the outsiders from getting their hands on the tag gold. Reckoning is ready to do it’s part to protect the CWF”

Card 4 - SHOCKWAVE SHOWDOWN - Centra Palladium:

(The champions will all be crowned tonight as the tournament finals take place. It’s a special one off PPV to celebrate the rebirth of the CWF)

TITLE MATCHES

Chaos Supreme overcomes Mister Centra to become the first Heavyweight champ. Huge moment as Mister Centra gets Magnus Colby banned from being at ringside. Colby argues with officials but preferring the title matches to end cleanly and lessen chances of a DQ (there are no special match rules) they agree to Mister Centra’s request. The drama does not knock Chaos off his stride. Mister Centra finds his power too much to cope with having not seen anything quite like Chaos before (this is a very different man to the one he used to contest titles with in Dimension X). He struggles against the crushing BOW OF DEFEAT which wears down his resistance before Chaos pins him following Run of the Bull. Chaos holds aloft the belt to start his journey as the new champ. How long will it last?

Reckoning crush Shock Probation and are the new tag champions. Maybe the occasion gets to Shock Probation as they lack rhythm. Doomsayer and Revolver exchanging swift tags to keep Darkest Justice guessing. Revolver snags FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK on him and even Magnus Colby’s timing is way off as he misses his distraction cue. Darkest Justice passes out briefly due to the pain and is pinned. Despite losing Shock Probation can hold their heads high for a memorable run. Relief for Lance At-Las in his commisioner role as the outcome prevents a possible Future Shock cleansweep of the belts. That would not of made the existing CWF talent look too good that a bunch of outsiders can waltz in and immediately dominate everything.

Gauntlet Match, Minister of War easily beats Saboteur to win the Primus Carnage championship. Added edge to the match because Saboteur had already beaten the Minister of War on the very first card. It’s different this time as Minister of War gets sweet revenge and needs barely a minute to win with AETHRAN MASSACRE. The gauntlets don’t even come into play but Minister of War isn’t going to let Saboteur off that easily as he grabs the ladder and folds it up with which to beat on his vanquished foe. Nobody can get near the ring as Vengeance swings the ladder at anyone who tries to get in. The beating continues until he gets bored and leaves. Feverish activity as Saboteur stays down badly hurt such was the brutality of the beating. His legs took the brunt of it but Saboteur eventually (with help of the ring crew) gets to his feet and refuses the stretcher. The crowd gives him a massive cheer of encouragement as he hobbles away to receive further treatment.

NON-TOURNAMENT MATCHES

Fraternity takes on Truth and Consequences (Oracle at ringside) but it ends in a double DQ. Centauri has battled himself into a commanding position against Tortured Soul having needed his partner’s assistance early after getting a taste of ROTTING CLAW. He and Nebula combine to hit Cronk with COSMIC BIG BANG but before they can finish it all hell breaks loose. Oracle orders Agony into the ring and he picks Nebula up and tosses him over the rope with such force that he ends up in the crowd. Panic stations as Agony rampages after him crashing through the barrier and also into the crowd. Fans immediately evacuate the area as Agony loses control and tosses chairs. Centauri is there at the rescue hurdling the barrier and managing to guide Agony back towards the ring where he takes it off it’s feet with a daring drop kick. Nebula has recovered from his fall and returns to the ring armed with a crowbar. Immediately Oracle calls his servants off and looks content that he has caused the babyfaces to lose their cool. He hangs on long enough to hear the referees decision to disqualify both teams and seems pleased the losing streak has been broken.

Star Slayer gets a lucky win against Prime Colonizer via DQ. Prime Colonizer is in total control. Having narrowly missed scoring a pin after COLONIZER CLAW SLAM and then launching a Mandrill Power Bomb he sees Star Slayer crawl under the rope for a breather. Magnus Colby inexplicably winds up his briefcase and brings it down over Star Slayer’s head right under the referee’s nose. It’s his way of punishing Star Slayer for abandoning the Future Shock team but he has cost Mandrill the bout. Mandrill storms away from the ring with a look of fury on his face.

Lord Nexus defeated Oracle. Massive rematch between them which ends in another dramatic Lord Nexus win. After a tense opening Lord Nexus starts moving through the gears and working towards his favourite moves. He thrills the crowd with THE APEX but quickly jumps up from his cover as he suddenly sees the entire Prophesy team stalk the runway and encircle the ring. For a moment Lord Nexus looks petrified but in a few short seconds that all changes as Lance At-Las with Fraternity leads a charge to protect their companion. They manage to fight off the would be attackers allowing Lord Nexus to turn his attention back to Oracle. Amid the melee he winds Oracle’s arm up with a Nexus Armbreaker and the official gets his attention back on the match. Oracle doesn’t take long to submit but rather than celebrate Lord Nexus jumps over the top rope and heads down to the end of the runway to assist his team mates and outnumber Prophesy. The battle rages on through the curtain and out of view although the brawl can still be heard. Eventually the noise fades and everyone wonders how it played out. Not wanting to encourage brawls on this level the CWF chooses not to publicise the outcome.

Evolution overcomes Splatter. Both Doomsayer and Magnus Colby make their appearances at ringside. Neither wanting to concede advantage to the other team. Surely no chance this will go down cleanly. The power of Evolution startles Splatter. Every move he executes packs a serious punch. Colby knows his man is in some distress and when Evolution nails DECAPITATOR early he jumps onto the apron trying to cause a ruckus. Evolution simply turns and nails him with a clothesline sending Colby into a crashing heap out on the Palladium floor. With Colby no longer able to be a thorn in his side Evolution can concentrate on trying to secure victory. The incident caused him to miss a chance to go for the pin but he continues to dominate Splatter. It takes 4 more of them but DECAPITATOR eventually puts Splatter away. Doomsayer calmly nods in approval towards Evolution and then quietly departs allowing him to enjoy the win alone.

Total Anarchy beats the big crowd favourite Adam Blast. Devastating from Total Anarchy who mauls Adam in a quick match. Adam does well to withstand both variations of GEHENNA’S GATE but Anarchy doesn’t let up and soon after executes a Crucifix Drop. Adam is still suffering the earlier effects and has nothing left in him to even try and make a struggle.

OVERVIEW (CARDS 1-4)

Champs:

* Carnage Champ: Minister of War (Top Contender: Evolution)

News:

Exhibition style matches and the tournaments dominated the opening cards. There were a high number of DQs but this is probably due to the additional intensity of the CWF competition plus officials responding to Lance At-Las making a request for them to set the tone early. It all culminated in the first champions of the relaunched CWF being crowned at SHOCKWAVE SHOWDOWN. The first champs are Chaos Supreme (Singles), Reckoning (Tag Team) and Minister of War (Primus Carnage). So it’s Future Shock holding 2 out of 3 and very close to sweeping all the belts as Shock Probation were also beaten tag finalists. Magnus Colby is full of bravado over the achievements and says his team did this despite best efforts of CWF officials to prevent them winning any belts (see the Chaos-Mister Centra match as an example). During the opening cards it has been significant in matches against Oracle and Mister Centra that Chaos has been hearing the cheers of the fans. He was supposed to be one of the biggest villains but is now seen as one of the most popular stars. The cheering is driving his team mate Prime Colonizer nuts. Mandrill is jealous of the position Chaos holds on the team and the fact he also has the fans behind him is a double blow.

Early observations of the roster ...

Future Shock is a stacked team. Chaos and Prime Colonizer are packing incredible stats and have the potential to trade the Heavyweight belt between them. Plus Colby has tag team depth with 2 strong teams. Even though they may not get along too well Shock Probation look well drilled and capable whilst Slaughterhouse spells danger for any team who wrestle them even though they’ll probably rack up the DQ losses. He even has the carnage division well covered with the Minister of War (current champ), Mayhem Unleashed and Splatter all vying for that prize.

Prophesy is probably the most disappointing so far. Oracle’s team has immediately stumbled to plenty of lost matches and the beast described as Agony looks lost in the ring. No doubting this monster has potential to cause devastation but looks a long way from that at the moment. Wrestling fans and journalists have nicknamed Agony as the Terrible Turtle because as soon he is on his back it seems to spell trouble for him. Despite this Oracle cannot be ignored and in his battles with Lord Nexus he did show some of what he is capable of. Of course Total Anarchy has the ability to be a major player. So far he has had mixed results but silently will be plotting to rule the carnage division and also follow the instructions of Oracle which may mean trying to capture the Heavyweight belt and deliver it to the Prophesy team (if Oracle cannot manage that himself).

Mister Centra is already making a big splash. Mocking his opponents and bragging about his own abilities. He has the tools to back it up for sure despite the blot on his record as Revolver took him to the cleaners on #3. In the Heavyweight tournament final it was a throwback to the days of Vector One but he found Chaos Supreme’s Alpha Stone enhanced power surprising and was overwhelmed. However he now knows what he is up against and is confident he can adapt his style to take the big man down and capture the belt. It wouldn’t be a total shock if he pulled it off but he’ll need to earn that shot first. Being the beaten finalist doesn’t necessarily guarantee him a spot as the top contender.

None of the hero teams (FDF, Galactic Rebels, Heritage) has shined over any of the others. All having their moments, good and bad. Lord Nexus, Saboteur (surprising considering the stats) and Evolution showing decent performances. Whilst guys like Lance At-Las, Centauri and Nebula have flattered to deceive. In fact Fraternity’s early exit from the tag tournament was seen as a mega shock but that takes nothing away from Reckoning who deserved their time in the spotlight and grabbed the belts. The mysterious Revolver looks like a potential star of the CWF. He played a starring role in that upset and then went and stunned Mister Centra by beating him in a singles match. The hero teams are ready to take on Future Shock and Prophesy but just seem to be a little bit short of wrestlers sporting superstar stats which could come back to hurt them.

Now the real action can begin and Heritage are looking to make their mark on #5. Lord Nexus is the team spokesman and has challenged the Future Shock tag teams to take on his team in Battlezone action. Although Heritage is set to feud with Prophesy he feels a match like this will be important in preparing his team for their battles ahead. Mangus Colby arrogantly agrees to the match saying his team will put Heritage in their place before moving onto bigger and better things.

The CRONK WALTERS SHOW continues in honour of the fallen former presenter and sports star. The plan is for it to be hosted by different people every month (this time around Commisioner Lance At-Las picks up the role) and it will keep it’s prime time segment. The first to make an appearance is Adam Blast. The hugely popular star who has come out of retirement to help take on the Future Shock team. He gives a passionate interview to his team leader and host but as he leaves the set runs into Adam Traitor standing between him and the doorway. Adam Blast knows this isn’t the time nor place and backs away. Behind him Darkest Justice (who has entered through another door) has appeared and he grabs Adam Blast round the neck. This allows Adam Traitor to launch a series of kicks and punches before taking a flag pole with the American symbol of peace inscribed on it with which to ram it into his gut. The blow is so ferocious that it leaves Adam Blast curled up in a ball struggling for breath. Lance At-Las storms back onto the set to help Adam but his attackers have already left with evil smiles on their faces. Medical assistance is urgently called to treat Adam Blast. The FDF are backing their injured team mate and vowing to gain revenge for him in the ring. Wrestlers are dropping like flies in these early cards with both Adam Blast and Saboteur on the injured list plus countless others nursing minor ailments.

The recent release of 2116 inspired me to crank out a card. I do really enjoy FUTURE SHOCK but trying to play GWF consumes the spare time I use to play. I am so far behind in everything. Anyway ...

Card 5 - Westland Pavillion:

Battlezone Match, Heritage make a comeback to defeat Future Shock. Some early heat as the fine print reveals a ban on managers being at ringside. Colby throws his toys out the pram and cites this as another example of trying to stack matches against his team. The matches went as follows – Saboteur defies his injuries to knock off Splatter by DQ. He even hit TRIPWIRE twice so it wasn’t as if it was a lucky outcome; Mayhem then crushes Saboteur in two moves. He powers out of a belly to belly suplex and then unleashes Danger Zone; Mayhem prevails over Centauri by DQ. No clowning around this time from Centauri. He is deadly serious about matching Mayhem’s unique brawling style. Sadly takes it too far by picking up the chain which was wrapped around a ring post and giving Mayhem a taste of his own medicine with it; Mayhem beats Lord Nexus in a classic match pitting technique against hardcore. Lord Nexus spends a lot of time trying to set up his finisher but can’t quite get it done. In between he cops an awful lot of punishment and gets busted open. It’s anyone’s match but Mayhem then springs a huge surprise by executing a sunset flip off the ropes and catching Lord Nexus cold. Never knew he had it in him; Nebula ends the amazing run of Mayhem with a DQ win. He is careful not to underestimate Mayhem’s agility and fall into the same trap as his team mates. It’s still extremely tough as Mayhem seems to keep coming at him even after Nebula had tried to wear him down with CETUS SLEEPER. In the end Mayhem brings about his own downfall for trying the smash with chain and raising the ire of the referee; Nebula eventually sees off Darkest Justice to take it to a tense decider. He had to use CETUS SLEEPER numerous times. The low pin rating of Justice makes him hard to beat quickly; Nebula defeats Adam Traitor to hand Heritage a victory that seemed unlikely about an hour ago. He takes advantage of Adam heeling it up whilst standing perched on the turnbuckle by throwing him down. Although it doesn’t lead in directly the error from Adam is seen as the catalyst to losing the bout. Nebula later clamping on a Scorpion Death Lock to extract a submission. Great win and the rest of his team soon come out to congratulate him.

Zealos beat Star Slayer with ZEALOS BREAKER. Star Slayer pokes fun at Zealos before the match as he says it’ll be fun wrestling someone from the dark ages. Those words antagonise Zealos who brutalises Star Slayer when he hits the ring. Star Slayer is in trouble early having been thrown from the turnbuckle when attempting MAD MAT. After this Star Slayer cannot contain the raw aggression of Zealos and falls to a damaging defeat within a few minutes. Unfortunately Star Slayer is a sitting duck as the match ends as the Future Shock team come out for their match earlier than expected so they can give him a going over in the runway. Zealos had the chance to help out but Star Slayer’s unkind words come back to haunt him and he is left to it. The beating could of been worse if not for Lord Nexus leading his Heritage team to the rescue. Colby’s team backs off and Star Slayer escapes with a few cuts and bruises.

Lance At-Las defeated Total Anarchy. Everyone is queuing up to wrestle Oracle. Total Anarchy is being put up as the roadblock but is unable to stop Lance. A well timed CENTRA LEG SWEEP for the second time in the match seals a massively popular win. Will Oracle deliver on his promise and step up to the plate now? It’s been a bad night for his team.

Revolver beats Mister Centra again. Revolver winning lots of admirers with his zeal. He winds up Mister Centra before they’ve even begun by wearing his tag belt on his ring entrance. It’s a classic battle which ebbs and flows. In between surviving VECTOR ONE VERVE twice (both the +2 and +4 variants) Revolver nearly catches Mister Centra cold with a running leg drop. The crowd is really getting behind him as he starts to build what looks to be an unstoppable momentum. Mister Centra senses things aren’t going his way and creates a distraction by removing one of the turnbuckle pads. As the ref desperately tries to replace it he rushes to grab a steel chair from outside. Swings at Revolver and misses. Quick as a flash he then gets face planted into the still exposed buckle. Revolver dances around excitedly and performs Hits the Mark. We all know what’s coming as it’s the big set up for FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Mister Centra again has no interest in risking injury and submits straight away. He is not gracious in defeat and claims Revolver should be suspended for illegal moves in the match.

Doomsayer and Evolution overcome Truth and Consequences. Oracle leaves his team to fend for themselves as he attends to matters elsewhere. They could of badly needed some directing as they fall to another defeat. After several frustrating minutes Evolution works out the best away to get Agony off his feet by getting down behind him for a schoolboy after Doomsayer clotheslines. Agony staggers backwards, goes over Evolution and is pinned.

Prime Colonizer brushes aside Adam Blast. Batting practice for Prime Colonizer. Adam Blast is still injured after being viciously attacked by his enemies and offers up very little resistance.

Card 6 - Warrior Center:

Carnage champ, Minister of War, gets into a wild brawl with Evolution (and all the other wrestlers) during a Lumberjack match. Much awaited first meeting and what a match it promised with the Carnage championship on the line in addition to being booked as a Lumberjack match. There is so much riding on it which probably explains why it descends into absolute madness within less than two minutes. Minister of War seeking early refuge among his own after Evolution’s strong start. Evolution doesn’t want to give him a chance to catch his breath so follows him out and ends up being set upon by the other Future Shock guys. This triggers Doomsayer and Revolver into the battle. Fraternity were reluctant extras for the match to help the Galactic Rebels out. Initially they are hesitant but seeing the Rebels outnumbered they soon also join the fracas. The ref tries to restore control and get the match going again but his pleading falls on deaf ears and he has to call things off. By the time some semblance of order is restored the outside of the ring looks like a bomb has hit it. Hours after the match Lance At-Las orders that a rematch take place on the next available show.

Chaos Supreme crushes Cringe in a non-title match. After struggling to beat Grovel a few cards back Chaos moves onto its primitive partner. He relishes putting the Primus natives in their place and continues to refer to them as good practice. Magnus Colby does not appear at ringside preferring to stay behind the scenes for what should be a formality. Indeed it is as Chaos wastes little time tossing Cringe around the ring. He chooses not to finish it too quickly so he can use his full repertoire of power moves. Eventually Cringe is put out of its misery via BOW OF DEFEAT.

Mayhem Unleashed beat Lance At-Las for a tainted victory. In a classic battle Lance takes unbelievable punishment (7 tokens at it’s climax) but battles back from being hit with LEAP OF DOOM twice. He is then on the cusp of a winning position and the crowd is crazy cheering as he uses MARS MANHANDLER on Mayhem. Magnus Colby is going nuts outside and jumps up on the apron to distract proceedings. Lance gets suckered in and Mayhem nails him from behind. The tide of the bout is turned around and a third attempt with Mayhem’s finisher ends Lance’s brave resistance.

Agony upsets Nebula after connecting with an elbow drop. It could have been worse as ETERNAL SUFFERING looked imminent but Nebula had moved out of positon but it was only a temporary reprieve. Nebula just couldn’t get this beast of its feet and the only time he achieved it was when he ducked under a clothesline and came back at Agony with Nova Launch but everything was a struggle. Agony continued to try and attack even after the bell. It throws Nebula forcefully out of the ring. Out on the arena floor Nebula tries to back away but gets cornered against the crowd barriers. Looking ominous but a huge cheer goes up as Centauri, still sweating from the previous match, hits the runway at breakneck speed. Without breaking pace he picks up a chair and smashes it against the back of Agony. The beast staggers. Centauri unloads a couple more shots and Agony actually goes down on one knee. Nebula sees the chance to react and jumps on it with his CETUS SLEEPER. With the moved locked in and a few more chair shots delivered Agony finally goes down and Fraternity are able to make a safe escape. Oracle later laments the despicable act of Fraternity as he reports Agony’s back injuries which will last a couple of cards. Nebula is not sorry for what happened, this is Fraternity’s way of saying to Oracle ‘do not mess with us’.

Centauri pinned Tortured Soul. Start of the build towards another meeting of Fraternity against Truth and Consequences on the next edition of IMPACT. The Fraternity guys looking more relaxed after their confidence restoring performance in the Battlezone match on the last card, especially Nebula who cannot wait to test himself against Agony in the next bout. Here we see Centauri continuing that surge of confidence as beats old Cronk. Has to work really hard for it though. Twice he felt ROTTING CLAW applied and despite an obvious temptation to submit and end the pain holds on to fight a way to the ropes and force a release. Tortured Soul knows Centauri is on the ropes and next goes to the top for a big death jump but it’s slow and clumsy. Centauri sees it a mile off and gets out of his path. Tortured Soul comes crashing down on the canvas and Centauri moves across to drape an arm over and steal victory.

Shock Probation triumphant over Command and Control in the opener. Star Slayer trying to carry the team what with Adam Blast’s injuries. Perhaps trying to take too much of the load as he gets overwhelmed. First HOSTAGE CRISIS softens him up and Darkest Justice soon pinned him after Tar and Feather.

Card 7 - Paradise Palace:

Minister of War overcomes Zealos in a non-title match. Another rematch comes to pass. After their furious battle on #3 it was a no brainer for it be booked. Behind the scenes Evolution was hoping Zealos could take it out Minister of Pain ahead of their rematch on #8. Unfortunately this is very one-sided. Zealos never gets going and Minister of War just picks him off with Eye Cleaver doing some nasty damage. Then it’s a double dose of pain as Zealos gets taken out with AETHRAN MASSACRE twice before Vengeance places a foot on this chest to pin him in the most humiliating way possible.

Nebula beats Tortured Soul in just four moves. Nebula has a point to prove after falling to Agony in his last match. It’s been a very inconsistent start to the CWF from him so far. Tonight he is in top form. Tortured Soul swings a punch with the first move but Nebula immediately counters and floors with a double leg takedown. Before Tortured Soul has even got back up Nebula is up on the top turnbuckle waiting. An awesome flying clothesline is despatched followed by CETUS SLEEPER to put the icing on the cake. Blink and you’d have missed it.

Centauri manages to beat the injured Agony. Centauri fares better than his partner against this monster. Using wear down moves to slowly rack up the fatigue on Agony but it’s a dramatic ending. Despite all the hard work Centauri goes and gets himself caught by Agony whilst attempting a cross body and gets a pulverising Demonic Powerslam on the back of it. Then Agony clambers to the second rope, it is too unsteady to make it all the way to the top, ready to come crashing down on Centauri. The crowd can barely bring itself to look as Agony pushes off ready for a bone crunching splash. Nebula had seen what was about to happen from a monitor backstage and races down to help Centauri. Agony took enough time getting up on the second rope that Nebula was able arrive and reach in to his stricken brother. Grabs a limb and pulls with all his might to get him out of the way in the nick of time. Centauri is very groggy but manages to pick up on Nebula’s encouragement and forces himself to stand. He goes over to wear Agony lay in a heap. With great difficulty manages to get Agony turned over and smothers it for a pin.

Revolver needs less than a minute to have Adam Traitor submitting in his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Revolver has already built up an amazing record in his short CWF career adorned with victories. He is the man of the moment and even though he is a co-holder of the tag straps some fans are urging him to make a push for singles gold too. Lance At-Las isn’t against it and already went on record as saying “why not? If he is ranked high enough. As long as anyone can fulfil the requirements of defending both belts equallty. I just cannot imagine too many doing so as it is extremely demanding”.

Prime Colonizer defeated Star Slayer with SIMIAN SKULLCRUSHER. Lots of pre match jostling with Star Slayer saying he will be going all out to knock Mandrill’s block off with his rifle but come the match itself cannot manage it. Pretty short battle, maybe 3 or 4 minutes but lots of incident. Star Slayer coming out the blocks fast but then losing a critical outside brawl and then pitched back in the ring to be finished off.

Slaughterhouse beat Cringe and Grovel by DQ. Not quite the devastation Magnus Colby expected as Grovel makes life tough for Mayhem. When Mayhem does eventually get the upper hand and tries to pin Grovel a brawl triggers. Cringe comes into it instinctively attacking Mayhem. Of course Splatter is not going to stand idly by and ignore a good brawl. The result is a scene of madness which takes a security team a couple of minutes to get between and hold everyone back. Amid the noise the ring announcer makes himself heard to reveal the referee has ruled in favour of Slaughterhouse.

Card 8 - IMPACT - Centra Palladium:

(The first IMPACT show garners much media interest across Centra. Stacked matches with all three belts on the line. Features a dramatic title change and the incident accompanying the bout pitting Fraternity against Truth and Consequences leaves everybody talking)

Lord Nexus upsets Chaos Supreme to become the Heavyweight champ. The challenge looked like it would fizzle under a barrage of blows. Lord Nexus just holding on in the early stages but Chaos makes a massive error. Instead of sticking to what he is good at he plays to the strengths of Lord Nexus in trying moves using the ropes. Lord Nexus almost catches him out after a sunset flip. It doesn’t come off as Chaos powers out but shortly after he goes for a spectacular split-leg moonsault and the roof comes off as it ends up in a successful pin. Lord Nexus drops to his knees with arms in the air he is so happy. The ref hands him the belt and he clutches it. Outside Magnus Colby throws his metal briefcase down in frustration and leaves. He doesn’t even wait for Chaos. Dramatic finale to the first IMPACT show.

Tag champs, Reckoning, defeated Shock Probation by DQ. Tag finals rematch. Shock Probation hoping to make a better showing this time around but they blow their opportunity. Comedy of errors as Darkest Justice goes for ROD OF INJUSTICE early on Doomsayer. Magnus Colby, who is more distracted by the Chaos match up next, misses his cue to distract and the move happens right under the ref’s nose. Darkest Justice also to blame as his attempts to conceal were non-existent. Adam Traitor on the apron looks dismayed and slaps his forehead in annoyance. Earlier in the show Star Slayer, who wants to make a name for himself in the tag division, issues a challenge to the winner to face Command and Control in their next defence.

Carnage champ, Minister of War, sees off the challenge of Evolution in a Lumberjack match. After the devastation caused during the last meeting extra security are on standby to sort things out should it all flare up again. Zealos shows up as one Evolution’s lumberjacks which surprises Minister of War and initially has an unsettling effect. Despite the shock Minster of War settles down and gets to grips with the power disadvantage he has against Evolution. The chance to use AETHRAN MASSACRE when it arises is not wasted. Zealos steams into the ring to save the day but Minister of War is up like a flash and ready meeting him full on with a thunderous clothesline. He then picks both Evolution and Zealos up so that he can smash their heads together and then successfully finishes off the pin attempt he’d earlier started. The likes of Doomsayer and Revolver had been unable to help as they are busy being forced down the runway by Mayhem and Splatter.

Lance At-Las defeated Oracle with CENTRA LEG SWEEP. Decent tussle with Lance taking his fair share of knocks. He seems to be a magnet for fatigue tokens having collected 7 in his last match and another 3 here.

Fraternity overcome Truth and Consequences (with Oracle). Last time the teams met it was utter carnage and this was no different. Oracle is back at ringside when perhaps his time would be better served preparing himself to face Lance At-Las later. Anyway a short bout ends when Agony gets floored after once again missing a splash allowing Centauri to score the pin. The win is not enough for him. The chance to payback for all the atrocious acts that Prophesy has been pulling is too much to resist even for the light hearted Centauri. Cronk Walters was a hero of his and Centauri holds Oracle entirely responsible. Seeing Agony on the floor and struggling to get up he decides to continue things and runs outside to find a weapon. There is nothing much about so picks up the ring bell. Nebula shouts “what are you doing?”but is ignored. Not wanting to upset his brother Nebula stays in the ring and holds the high ground so that Tortured Soul and Oracle cannot attack them. Meanwhile Centauri brings the bell down on Agony repeatedly before mounting the turnbuckle. Agony is moaning and bloody (one of the horns is broken at the tip) but grabs a rope and manages to stand only to be immediately floored with COSMIC BIG BANG. It’s at this point Centauri suddenly comes to his senses and he immediately throws the bell to the floor that he had picked up again. Looks almost horrified when he sees the mangled, bleeding carcass of Agony laying there and runs out of the ring. Oracle and a confused Tortured Soul don’t get in his way and part. Nebula scurries after Centauri. Meanwhile medics tend to Agony who looks hurt and it needs 6 men to get it on a reinforced stretcher. Crowd is silent watching, not quite sure what to make of it all.

Splatter pinned Zealos after MEET ARSENAL. Zealos totally shafted by Colby. Had Splatter begging for mercy in ZEALOS BREAKER but breaks it to confront Colby who is trying his wave a wad of money trick. Splatter recovers and attacks Zealos from behind and never looks back after that.

CWF 2115 OVERVIEW (CARDS 5-8)

Champs:

News:

Stunning upset as Lord Nexus dethrones Chaos Supreme in the first Heavyweight title bout since the champions were crowned. As if losing the belt is bad enough Chaos is angered by the CWF policy to not list champions in the record books unless they actually complete at least one defence. So effectively the reign of Chaos is removed from history. His immediate response is to challenge and then later demand for a chance to win the belt back. Lance At-Las will not bullied into making a decision and decides to sleep on it. The next day he releases a press statement and it is not what Chaos is wanting to hear as Lance announces Prime Colonizer is next in line for a shot. In fact Revolver was higher in the pecking order with Chaos being listed #3 contender in the latest Heavyweight list.

Mister Centra shooting his mouth off against criticisms that he is a loafer that only makes an effort when gold is on the line. His efforts in two matches against Revolver have not been up to the standards expected. The instant Revolver applies FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK he always submits to protect himself. This could actually be a smouldering rivalry as Mister Centra takes exception to some of the tactics Revolver used against him in the last match. Bookers want them to square off again but Mister Centra will only agree if it enhances his prospects of getting a higher ranking and leads in to a title shot.

Minister of War bragging that with two wins over Zealos the offbeat feud is already over. Zealos thinks differently and got himself enlisted as one of Evolution’s lumberjacks on #8. Minster of War received the shock of his life when Zealos showed up but had the last laugh as he still won the match. Magnus Colby chips in on behalf and states “as far as we are concerned the rivalry is done and dusted. If Zealos continues to hound Minister of War then we will have him reported to the Commissioner for harassment and pushing for a suspension”.

More madness on CRONK TIME as the guest presenter is Lord Nexus (aired before he became the new Heavyweight champ) who invites Tortured Soul onto the set. Arranged in some vein hope of restoring Cronk Walters back into something like the presenter that was once so loved. Horrific scenes unfold as Tortured Soul moans when approached and then through a wall Agony bursts onto the set. Objects and props are thrown everywhere with several staff sustaining minor injuries as they are tossed about. Even Lord Nexus gets knocked out the way whilst tying to fight Agony off. Security swarm onto the set armed with high pressure hoses that takes Tortured Soul off his feet and forces Agony to back off.

Truth and Consequences were also in the news after the last card as Fraternity give them payback for all their vile deeds having beaten them on IMPACT. Agony gets injured again (6 cards) and Centauri also cops a suspension (2 cards). The incident unfortunately blows Fraternity’s chance of making a tag title challenge and probably opens a path for Command and Control. Centauri apologises for his rage but does feel they had it coming.

EXTREME ELIMINATION EVENT is coming on #12 in the second supercard of the year. Every match is a special match and all the winners will qualify for a final battle royal to determine the overall event winner. Fans are pumped at the concept and are looking forward to some hot matches. Some of which have been signed already including a cage meeting where Truth and Consequences take on Reckoning. Even with injuries Oracle is thrusting Agony into action. Also Chaos goes up against Evolution in a power battle.

Lance At-Las borrows from the GWF to start making monthly awards which he says will hold a lot of sway for the end of year awards (even more so than holding championship belts). The first WRESTLER OF THE MONTH is Revolver for his wins against Mister Centra and Adam Traitor whilst also competently defending his half of the tag belts. TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH is bestowed upon Fraternity for their incredible win against Truth and Consequences and their brilliant efforts in the Battlezone match on #5.
