Cornette has always been harder on young talent, but he will give credit where it's due. He gave MJF alot of credit today!? He's had some history with the Bucks, ripping them before, nothing new there. I know, I just don’t agree with he has said lately about the Young Bucks and Joey Ryan. I do agree on his praise to MJF. He's never been a fan of them or Sami Callihan either! Certain wrestlers he will always be critical of. Just part of his "charm", I suppose?!

About the only AEW-related thing that Cornette's been wrong about has been his weird hang-up about the female referee (who's terrific). And his disdain for Kenny Omega has probably reached over-the-top status. But his criticisms of the lack of accessibility to new viewers and the stupid jokey BS is spot-on.

She did a great job in the Cody-Darby match and I like how she got in front of Brandi when Shawn Spears attacked Cody. With Rick Knox and Bryce Remsburg on board they really have an outstanding crew and have been using all of them as characters in BTE. Paul Turner is about the only one who hasn't done much to stand out, but did ref the unsanctioned match.

He gave MJF alot of credit today!? He's actually been praising MJF for months, ever since Corny started with MLW. And honestly, Cornette's right on the money about the Bucks, Kenny, Ryan and Callihan. People like to write him off as some bitter old guy who's mad that wrestling passed him by and frankly, those are the people who don't get it at all. Everything he says about them is valid just like everything he said about Steen and Generico was valid too and people thought he was full of shit. They get signed to WWE deals and do the exact things he wanted them to do and guess what? They're making a ton of money now.

And if he doesn't like something, he calls it out. A lot of young talent today have a tough time with criticism.

Also, from the time Cornette was fired from OVW (not that it was unjustified) until the rise of the Performance Center, WWE's developmental completely went to hell. Cornette ran a company that churned out Cena, Orton, Lesnar, Batista, plus depth like Shelton Benjamin and the complete reinvention of Mark Henry. Frankly, not even the Performance Center has churned out an all-star lineup like that. One of several reasons for modern WWE's obsession with Attitude Era Nostalgia and Attitude Era stars is that their "star" output from 2003-2011 or so ended up being a complete dead zone, and what stars they did produce in that time span (CM Punk) were already finished products who managed to get into the system at a time when WWE had almost no interest in indy darlings. Nobody has any real nostalgia for Ken Kennedy, Carlito, MVP, and the other duds and disappointments that WWE was expecting to be main eventers.

Frankly, I don't think the PC will ever churn out a lineup like that because all there really is down there now are indie workers being trained to do WWE style. There's no real high level athletes like Brock or Shelton coming in and they're not gonna luck into guys like Cena, Orton or Batista ever again. They just have to hope that raiding the indies and stockpiling talent will yield results someday.
