LCW Thursday Night Thunderstrike Thursday, March 14 – Year 1
Ian Riccaboni: Thunderstrike is LIVE! Legends Championship Wrestling is ready to deliver two hours of the best wrestling action. I’m joined as always by Gavin Loudspeaker.
Loudspeaker: And what an exciting night we have, just three days ahead of our big Best of the Super Cruisers event. Riccaboni: You’ve got that right, Gavin! AJ Styles and I had a sit down conversation that we’ll be showing in just a bit but first we have a Women’s Title Tournament reserve match between LCW newcomers Thunderkitty and Ida Mae Martinez. Let’s go to the ring!
LCW Women’s Title Tournament Reserve Match: Thunderkitty vs. Ida Mae Martinez - Ida Mae Martinez takes the victory with a flying head scissors after both ladies wrestled a very clean, respectful match. If any of the ladies in the women’s title tournament is injured, Ms. Martinez will take her spot.
Bruiser Brody vs. Martin Stone - Brody wins a SUPER fast match after a twisting vertical suplex.
Sit Down AJ Styles interview Ian Riccaboni: AJ, thanks for taking the time to sit down with me and talk to the LCW fans.
AJ Styles: Sure.
Riccaboni: We haven’t seen you in a few weeks, AJ. What have you been up to?
Styles: You know I always stay in shape. I’m in the gym every day. I just didn’t feel like getting in the ring. The passion had been lacking for a while. Riccaboni: Last time we saw you, you and Randy Savage were in a bit of a back and forth feud. Is that over or are you looking to get right back in the ring with him?
Styles: You know, I’ve always looked up to him. I don’t know if I do anymore, now that I’ve been in the ring with him. I beat him, he kinda beat me. If Dave Marquez wants to book us in another match, I’ll step in there and beat him again… but I won’t be knocking on Marquez’ door to do it. I have other things on my mind.
Riccaboni: And what might that be?
Styles: I spent too much time worrying about getting screwed over by all the rule breakers here in LCW. Problem was, in thinking about not being screwed over, I lost focus on just how PHENOMENAL I am. It shouldn’t matter how many dirty tricks the Million Dollar Man and Sheri use, I’m the Phenomenal AJ Styles!
Riccaboni: So is it fair to say your focus is now on the LCW World Heavyweight title?
Styles: Sure, but I know I’m not there yet. I have to get a nice winning streak going, put a few people down with the Styles Clash. With Ted DiBiase in charge of the title, I need to put myself in a position where he has no choice but to face me. And if he’s no longer the title holder by that point, I’ll take the title from whoever does have it at that point.
Riccaboni: Well, you’ll have a chance to get on that winning path in tonight’s main events when you take on “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan. Any predictions? Styles: Of course. Hacksaw will be eating canvas like the rest of them. Styles Clash, then 1-2-3. It’s time for the Phenomenal One to get back on top!
LCW TV Title: Reckless Youth vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado – Quick match. Not a ton of action. JFDC is disqualified after choking Reckless Youth with his own black t-shirt and refusing to release him.
Backstage view of Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari, Daivari has gotten quite good at the Persian Clubs, seemingly spending all his time with them due to the suspension. Both men seem to be losing it a little bit, periodically yelling at each other before going back to work with the Persian Clubs.
LCW Tag Team Tournament Quarter-Final: Rock n Roll Express vs. Bundy & Hughes - A short match which ends after Bundy drags Robert Gibson outside the ring to a ringside table and slams him hard through it. Referee Bryce Remsburg calls for the DQ right away. Bundy and Hughes don’t seem to be too upset though, as both men grin ear to ear before exiting the ringside area.
AJ Styles vs. Jim Duggan - Hacksaw is never an easy win and an early FLYING SPEAR puts AJ Styles in trouble. AJ is able to make a quick comeback with a springboard forearm and a STYLES CLASH for the win.

LCW Global Saturday, March 16 – Year 1
Manimal vs. Cheeseburger - Cheeseburger’s agility gets the better of Manimal but Manimal didn’t go down without a fight. It took a number of SHOTEI PALM STRIKES for Cheeseburger to finally get the victory but he seems overjoyed with it.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Shynron & Samuray del Sol Samuray del Sol: At Best of the Super Cruisers, you’re about to see an aerial assault! And when I win, you’ll never forget the name Samuray del Sol! Shynron: While I agree that Best of the Super Cruisers will be a great showcase for those who may be unfamiliar with my partner, Samuray del Sol, it will be my time to shine! Shynron will be the name in the history books as the Best of the Super Cruisers champion!
Davina Rose vs. Penelope Ford - Penelope Ford makes her way to the ring. Her usual blonde locks have been dyed a deep red. Penelope Ford wins a fairly one-sided match after a huracanrana. After the ref counts to three, Penelope continues to hold Davina Rose to the mat, with a smile on her face the entire time. Referee Todd Sinclair has to pull her off.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: MJF with Alexander Hammerstone MJF: You know, Hammer, “first ever LCW Super Cruiserweight champion MJF” has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it. Hammerstone: It sure does. MJF: And do you know how I know that I’m going home with the LCW Super Cruiserweight title Sunday night? Hammerstone: How’s that, Max? MJF: Because I’m better than every single one of the wrestlers in that tournament and they know it. Both men laugh.
Shynron & Samuray del Sol vs. Juan Francisco de Coronado & Darius Carter - JFDC and Darius Carter enter the ring and corner Gary Michael Cappetta, yelling in his face and threatening him. Shynron and Samuray del Sol charge the ring and attack the heels. A wild brawl of a match ensues with plenty of high-flying and rough tactics. Shynron takes a beating but Samuray del Sol is able to get the victory for his team with the RISING SUN.
Harley Race vs. Butcher Vachon - Harley Race attacks Butcher Vachon before Gary Michael Cappetta finishes his introductions. Just a minute later, Butcher is staring at the lights following a VERTICAL SUPLEX and Harley Race has his hand raised in victory.

LCW Saturday Night Saturday, March 16 – Year 1
We join a meeting between Ted DiBiase and Sherri already in progress. Sherri: I’ll talk to him. No promises but I’ll talk to him. DiBiase responds: Sherri, it’s not that I don’t have faith in you. I’ve invested a lot of money in not only you but also your Start Up group. And I can already see those investments paying dividends but I will see to this acquisition myself. As you know, every man has a price for the Million Dollar Man! DiBiase then turns to face the LCW cameraman DiBiase: Mr. Marquez, I have an offer you can’t possibly refuse. It just simply wouldn’t be good business to do so. You need two tag teams for the tag team tournament reserve match? Your world heavyweight champion is here to save the day, as usual. I will find a tag team partner and will fill one of those spots. Talk about a ratings boost! Your LCW World Heavyweight Champion competing in the LCW Tag Team Tournament! I’ll see you Monday.
DDP vs. Jeff King - Jeff King isn’t going to just lay down for DDP but Page keeps the pressure on him. A DIAMOND CUTTER on the floor gets DDP the countout win.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Pete Dunne Pete Dunne: The LCW Super Cruiserweight title... it's mine. I can already taste it. It's a foregone conclusion. But I feel an obligation to my opponents in the Best of the Super Cruisers tournament. You step in the ring with me and you leave a changed man. I'm going to test you. Mentally... physically. I'm going to test each and every joint on your body. And if you or any of your limbs are weak, I'm going to break you. You've been warned.
Jerry Lynn vs. Johnny Mantell - A quick victory for Jerry Lynn. He gets the win after a CRADLE PILEDRIVER.
Amber Gertner is joined in the ring by Rex Havoc Gertner: Rex, I hear you have a message for the Midnight Express… and you’re not here alone. Havoc: That’s right. My partner, Logan Black, has been sidelined. I’m told he won’t be able to get back in the ring until April 7th. So I needed someone else to watch my back… make sure I’m not taking another tennis racket to this perfectly shaved dome. Laura Phoenix will do just that and she’s told me she has no problem putting some hands on that slimeball Jim Cornette. Eaton, Condrey, Cornette! I don’t back down from a fight and I stand up for my friends. You can’t beat up Logan Black and not pay for it. We’re comin’ for blood!
Nora Greenwald & Malia Hosaka vs. Barbi Hayden & Solo Darling - Hayden and Darling work really well as a team. They work a double team on Malia Hosaka, preventing her from being able to tag out to Nora Greenwald. Barbi Hayden seems to have no problem bending the rules but Solo Darling seems to be the cleaner competitor. When Solo Darling’s FISHERWOMAN’S NECKBREAKER puts Hosaka down, Nora Greenwald is stopped from entering the ring by referee Bryce Remsburg before he counts the 1-2-3. Hayden and Darling get a big win.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Matt Sydal Sydal: I spent all day in meditation yesterday. I capped off that time of spiritual reflection with an intense two hours in my sweat lodge. After all of that, my destiny is clear. My third eye is wide open. The Shooting Sydal Press will soar in for a landing. I will be the first LCW Super Cruiserweight champion. And I will win Best of the Super Cruisers.
Gorgeous George vs. Martin Stone - Martin Stone looks to power his way through the Gorgeous One but Cherie Dupre’s fingernails in his eyes turns the tide and Stone soon finds himself pinned after the Gorgeous Grip.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Reckless Youth & Jody Fleisch Reckless Youth: It’s a little hard for me to stand here next to the man who I once called partner… friend… it’s hard to not just punch him right in the teeth! But I’m a professional. I’ve been working my butt off for an opportunity like the Best of the Super Cruisers. An opportunity to show that I’m one of the best light heavyweight wrestlers in the world. An opportunity to add a second title to my shoulder. To simultaneously hold the TV and Super Cruiserweight titles. Jody Fleisch: That’s just not gonna happen, Tom. We WERE friends. And we WERE a tag team. But that's all dead and gone. And like a phoenix, I will rise from the ashes of this miserable tag team to the top of the LCW super cruiserweight division.
Randy Savage vs. Johnny Valentine - Johnny Valentine dominates the early minutes of the match, really roughing up Savage. Valentine’s rough house tactics get the better of him, though, when he throws the Macho Man to the outside of the ring. Savage completely takes over on the outside and a huge flying axe handle has Valentine reeling. Looking for any way to recover control, Valentine body slams Savage onto the announce table. Referee Todd Sinclair immediately calls for the bell and disqualifies Valentine.

LCW Go! Sunday, March 17 – Year 1
Sozio vs. Robbie Ellis - Sozio opens the show by battering Robbie Ellis and busting his nose open before finishing him with the YAKUZA KICK.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo:Bandido Bandido (translated via on-screen subtitles): Lucha libre has a long history of champions in the light heavyweight ranks. I am the new generation of luchador. I will stand on the shoulders of the lucha champions that came before me and I will propel myself to the LCW Super Cruiserweight championship. This will be the first time fans will see me in an LCW ring. I aim to impress and I will not waste this opportunity.
Thunderkitty vs. Barbi Hayden - Barbi Hayden charges into the ring and smashes Thunderkitty shoulder first into the turnbuckle post. With time, Thunderkitty is able to recover a bit and mount some offense of her own. When the fight tumbles to the outside, Hayden doesn’t hesitate to grab a chair and smash Thunderkitty with it. Referee Morgan Dollar is quick to disqualify her and reward the match to Thunderkitty.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Chris Candido w/ Tammy Sytch Candido: I’ve been in the ring with Sabu… with Rob Van Dam… with Tommy Dreamer… AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Juventud Guerrera… You think any of these punks can bring something that I haven’t seen? Not a chance! And you know what? I’ve held more titles than the entire rest of the field combined. Tag titles. Cruiserweight titles. Junior Heavyweight titles. Even World Heavyweight championships. The LCW Super Cruiserweight title will just be another trophy for my man cave.
Bobo Brazil & DDP vs. Hobo & Manimal - A couple COCO BUTTS has Hobo a little punch drunk. DDP tags in and Hobo charges, crashing into the turnbuckle pads. A simple roll up and DDP gets the pin.
Best of the Super Cruisers Promo: Petey Williams & “Sick” Nick Mondo Williams: Let’s just keep this real simple. Tonight, The Canadian Destroyer will lay waste to the LCW Super Cruiserweight division and I will raise that championship above my head while all of Canada cheers. Mondo: From one end of the spectrum to the other. Most people see me only as a hardcore fighter. A purveyor of ultra violence. A deathmatch king. I am all of those things but I’m also a spin-kicking, high-flying super cruiserweight wrestler. And tonight I prove my worth in the Best of the Super Cruisers tournament.
Bruiser Brody vs. Greg Valentine - Brody beats Greg Valentine quickly and pins him to the mat after a one hand body slam.

LCW Best of the Super Cruisers Sunday, March 17 – Year 1
The show opens with a montage video of the participants in the Best of the Super Cruisers tournament with a voice over: Pro wrestling has a rich history of light heavyweight wrestling tournaments. Whether called light heavyweights, junior heavyweights, middleweights, cruiserweights or X division wrestlers… the results are always the same. Fast, exciting, high-flying, technical wrestling action. The one night tournament has long been the showcase of the next great light heavyweight wrestler. Tonight… 16 men compete to crown the first ever Best of the Super Cruisers champion and the new face of the LCW Super Cruiserweight division.
Ian Riccaboni: Wow! What a night we have ahead of us, wrestling fans. 16 of the best super cruiserweight wrestlers in LCW. Gavin, why don’t you introduce the fans to the 16 participants in the Best of the Super Cruisers event.
Gavin Loudspeaker: You bet! In order for wrestlers to be eligible for the Super Cruisers divisions and for this tournament, wrestlers had to weigh in at no more than 225 pounds. Wrestling in tonight’s tournament are Bandido, Chris Candido, Jody Fleisch, Johnny Saint, Lenny Lane, MJF, Matt Sydal, Nick Madrid, “Sick” Nick Mondo, Pete Dunne, Petey Williams, Reckless Youth, Samuray del Sol, Shynron, TJ Perkins & Wani. What a lineup!
Riccaboni: You’ve got that right! And we have a number of light heavyweight wrestling dignitaries in attendance tonight. Jushin Thunder Liger, Tiger Mask, Danny Hodge, Juventud Guerrera, Dynamite Kid and Jerry Brisco will have the best seats in the house as they take their seats in the front row as we get ready for a night of action-packed wrestling. I had the opportunity to get some predictions from each of these fantastic wrestlers.
Jushin Thunder Liger: Matt Sydal has wrestled all over the world and has one of the most amazing finishing moves in wrestling. I originated the shooting star press but Matt Sydal perfected it. I believe that move and his immense experience will carry him to victory tonight.
Danny Hodge: It’s no secret I favor technical wrestling. Someone like Johnny Saint really appeals to me… but I am not blind to what this sport has become. MJF is just devious enough to lie, cheat and steal his way to the end. I don’t like it but he’s my pick...
Juventud Guerrera: Bandido is an amazing luchador! He’s made me a fan and I’ll be cheering for him all night!
Dynamite Kid: Pete Dunne is my kind of wrestler! He’s tough, he hits hard and he’s a brit! Go get ‘em Bruiserweight!
Tiger Mask: I love how many masked wrestlers are in this tournament. Wani, Shynron & Samuray del Sol but, if I was a betting man, my money would be on Bandido.
Jerry Brisco: Chris Candido is a guy I could see going all the way in this tournament. He’s deceptively strong for his size. In a tournament full of high-flyers and technicians, I think brute strength and a little bit of crazy could take him a long way.
Loudspeaker: Amazing perspective from those legends of the sport. But they’re not the only ones watching this tournament closely. Steve Regal, who was injured by the Iron Sheik and Shawn Daivari last month, making him unable to compete in this tournament. He’s now taken his seat at ringside to watch the matches as they get underway here shortly. Because of his attack, Daivari was also not allowed to compete tonight and I’m told he is watching intently on a backstage monitor.
Riccaboni: I’m sure both have hopes to challenge the winner of tonight’s tournament in the near future. Let’s get to the ring, though, because the Best of the Super Cruisers tournament is about to get started.
Tournament Opening Round: Petey Williams vs. Shynron - Petey Williams dominates Shynron and finishes him with a series of rolling suplexes.
Tournament Opening Round: Pete Dunne vs. Nick Madrid - Awesome first round match up. Madrid is able to connect with his RUNNING OF THE BULLS finisher three times throughout the match before he is finally able to keep the Bruiserweight pinned for the victory.
Tournament Opening Round: Chris Candido vs. Johnny Saint - Candido opens the match with a big powerslam that has Johnny Saint visibly dazed but Saint turtles up and manages to get Candido tangled in the JOHNNY SAINT SPECIAL. Candido kicks out but this match is off to an exciting start! The two wrestlers battle back and forth, each looking close to victory multiple times throughout. A snap suplex on the floor spells the end for Johnny Saint, though, and he is unable to answer the 10-count. Chris Candido wins by countout.
Tournament Opening Round: Jody Fleisch vs. TJ Perkins - Jody Fleisch comes into the match like he’s been shot out of a cannon. TJ Perkins never stood a chance. Three 720 DDTs and TJP is done.
Tournament Opening Round: MJF vs. Lenny Lane - MJF offers a handshake to Lenny Lane to start the match. As Lane reaches forward to shake his hand, MJF instead slaps him across the face and goes on the attack. Soon after a HEATSEEKER gets MJF the victory.
Tournament Opening Round: Nick Mondo vs. Samuray del Sol - Mondo resists the urge to go ultra violent, even when del Sol rolls out of the ring. Instead, Mondo fights a smart but aggressive match. “Sick” Nick Mondo pins Samuray del Sol after a LIFE CUTTER.
Tournament Opening Round: Bandido vs. Reckless Youth - Reckless Youth carries his LCW TV Title to the ring. Reckless Youth struggles with Bandido’s speed and quickly succumbs to the 21 PLEX. Bandido wins.
Tournament Opening Round: Matt Sydal vs. Wani - Wani manages to use his slight size advantage to put Matt Sydal on his heels. He looked to be on his way to an quick victory via the DRAGON CLAW. Sydal kicks out at the last second. Wani attempts a sunset flip but gets reversed by Sydal and that’s it. Matt Sydal wins.
Tournament Quarterfinal: Petey Williams (0) vs. Nick Madrid (1) - Nick Madrid hits Petey Williams with everything he has but Petey keeps firing back. After yet another impact DDT, Williams rolls outside the ring to shake the cobwebs loose. Madrid follows and continues his attack, slamming Candido face first into the announce table over and over. Referee Todd Sinclair calls for the bell, disqualifying Nick Madrid.
Tournament Quarterfinal: Chris Candido (1) vs. Jody Fleisch (0) - Candido hits Jody Fleisch with some heavy offense to start the match but Fleisch is able to connect with a wall run moonsault that puts Candido down hard. Fleisch rolls Candido back into the ring and smashes him to the mat with a Phoenixplex for the win.
Tournament Quarterfinal: MJF (0) vs. Nick Mondo (0) - MJF extends his hand to Nick Mondo but Mondo’s having none of it. Mondo hits MJF with every big move he has and when they finally separate, MJF just spits in his face. Mondo again goes full throttle, hitting MJF with every move in his arsenal but MJF just keeps getting up. From his knees, MJF flips Mondo off with a big devious smile on his face. Mondo throws MJF to the outside and then lays him on a table. Referee Bryce Remsburg tries to stop Mondo from going any further but Mondo motions to the crowd before hitting a Mondo Sledge to MJF through the ringside table. Remsburg calls for the bell, disqualifying Mondo.
Tournament Quarterfinal: Bandido (0) vs. Matt Sydal (1) - Amazing back and forth match, which seemed as if either man could have won at any moment. The end came after Sydal attempted a top rope cross body block. Bandido reverses and moments later a 21 PLEX spells the end for Sydal. What a match! Sydal raises Bandido’s hand and the crowd gives them a standing ovation. Bandido seems to be favoring his ribs. Hopefully that won’t affect him too much in his next match.
Tournament Semi-Final: Petey Williams (0) vs. Jody Fleisch (0) - Petey Williams manages to connect with two early CANADIAN DESTROYERS that nearly finish the match. Somehow Jody Fleisch is able to kick out but he was never able to fully recover and Petey remains in control for most of the match. The end comes after a Petey Williams huracanrana. Petey Williams will move on to the final looking fairly healthy.
Tournament Semi-Final: MJF (1) vs. Bandido (3) - MJF is in control of the match early but when he pulls at Bandido’s mask, Bandido kicks things into high gear. Bandido gets the win after a crucifix driver.
Riccaboni: The next match will be a six-man tag team match. Participants were chosen from the wrestlers who were eliminated in the first round of the tournament. These six impressed LCW match-makers most.
Loudspeaker: A good performance in defeat landed them a spot in this next match. What the winners of THIS match get, we don’t yet know.
6-Man Tag Match: Reckless Youth, Wani & Samuray del Sol vs. Johnny Saint, Pete Dunne & Shynron - Really fun match. Every wrestler gets to show their unique sets of skills but over the course of the match, Wani is slowly picked apart by the opposing team. A SPIRIT BOMB from Shynron spells the end for him and the team of Johnny Saint, Pete Dunne and Shynron gets the win.
Just as the final match of the evening is about to get underway, MJF’s music hits. He walks to the ring and grabs a microphone. MJF: Are you guys serious? THIS is the final match of this wretched tournament? What a disappointment. You’ve got one guy who is so ugly he has to wear a mask in the ring. And another guy who really should be in a mask… right, ladies? If I were these fans out here, I’d be asking for my money back.
Petey Williams and Bandido look at each and both attack MJF. A double dropkick sends him tumbling from the ring.
He yells “You’ll be hearing from my lawyers!” as he leaves the ring area. Petey Williams and Bandido shake hands before the bell rings and the match gets underway.
Tournament Final: Petey Williams (0) vs. Bandido (2) - Bandido starts the match looking really strong but he soon starts to fade, the effects of his earlier battles catching up with him. Blood begins to pour from the nose / mouth area of Bandido’s mask after a DDT plants him face first to the mat. From then on, it’s all Petey Williams. Williams’ double knee face buster is the final maneuver of the night and Bandido can’t kick out.
Fireworks go off on the entrance stage and confetti falls from the ceiling as Petey Williams celebrates in the ring. He then helps Bandido to his feet and the two men embrace. Bandido then holds Petey’s hand into the air, congratulating him on his huge victory. Danny Hodge and Tiger Mask carry the Best of the Super Cruisers trophy into the ring and present it to Petey Williams. Confetti again falls from the ceiling as the show goes off the air.

Nice win by Petey. I had thought Bandido but Petey is a worthy winner.
