I’m not sure how much free-time I’m going to have to regularly post results as I’ve been on killer overtime since late last year (6 days a week, 60+ hours a week) and it’s not supposed to let up anytime soon.
Obviously, I’ve kept up with the game and am still playing but my time is limited these days. It goes without saying that as a mega-fan of Kris Osk’s original Battle for Centra trilogy I am more than a little excited that Mike used the idea of alternate universes introduced during the Future Shock editions to resurrect aCe and in the process have some fun by rewriting history.
I’m looking forward to seeing how this new timeline differs from the one already established and plan to, if not be able to regularly share my results, keep up with playing my new CWF fed.
As this entire edition is predicated on the idea of alternate universes and timelines, I’m going to be deviating slightly from the canon established in the handbook and making this new Centra wrestling fed my own. I’m definitely using some of the Promoter Prime 2017 cards for this fed as the Eternal Champions/Kronus versions of Raven, Holocaust/Blazing Skull, Vyper, Pegasus, and Prodigy are beyond awesome and are begging to be used in every promoter's CWF fed.
I decided that before I got into 2115 with the Centra Supercard I’d have some fun with the new cards and play a few fight cards before-hand to see how they played and so, in-universe I’m treating those cards as a special series of events held at the end of 2114 prior to the CWF (or in my case the CEW) big return from hiatus in 2115 for their Centra Perennial show.
Card #1 (7/20/19) @ the New Rose Hotel – Tarkania, Centra Prime
7,500 fans in attendance - sold out!
* Zouave the Conqueror bt. Saboteur with a flying crossbody block.
* Mister Centra bt. Killer Queen II with VECTOR ONE VERVE (+2).
* The Savage Ani-Men (w/Shann-Ra & Killing Machine) def. Total Holocaust (w/Oracle & Bishop Hell) when Lope bt. Total Anarchy following a Lope Skullcrusher off the 2nd rope.
* Lord Nexus and Centauri def. The Paradise Punks (w/Sanora Pelf & The Dominator) when Lord Nexus bt. Romulus with THE APEX.
* The Star Destroyers (w/Doomsayer) def. The Federation Defense Fighters (w/ Ms. Liberty) when Mensar bt. Crossfire with a tombstone piledriver.
* Kill Prey (Shann-Ra & Killing Machine) dq. Mayhem Unleashed (w/Bishop Hell) when Bishop Hell interfered to use HELLFIRE against Kill Prey.
* The Tomorrow Men (w/Destruction 3000) def. Superiority (w/Johnny Rocket) when Lance At-Las bt. Prodigy following the CENTRA LEG SWEEP back-to-back against the MARS MANHANDLER.
* The Prime Colonizer (w/Magnus the Magnanimous & Tocsin) bt. Bloodline (w/Johnny Rocket & Mother Superior) with SIMIAN SKULLCRUSHER following heavy interference from Tocsin at ringside (SENTRY STUNNER).
* Centra Battlefield 6-Man Tag Event: Corporal Aegis, Raven, and Star Slayer (w/Cassandra & Rouser) def. Minister of War, Darkest Justice, and Adam Traitor (w/Magnus the Magnanimous) when Raven bt. Adam Traitor following back-to-back DETHRONINGS on the ringside floor.
Card #2 (8/03/19) @ the New Rose Hotel – Tarkania, Centra Prime
7,600 fans in attendance - sold out; standing room only!
* Total Anarchy (w/Oracle) bt. Crossfire with GEHENNA’S GATE.
* Truth & Consequences (w/Oracle) def. Slaughterhouse (w/Bishop Hell) when Agony bt. Splatter following ETERNAL SUFFERING.
Agony, at the behest of Oracle from ringside, continued to apply the pressure of the finishing maneuver after the bell, trying to crush Splatter’s chest, but was stopped short of his intentions by on-the-spot members of security whose swarming numbers were able to break up the situation before any real damage was done.
* Prodigy (w/Johnny Rocket) bt. Kill Prey (w/Shann-Ra & Killing Machine) following the PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER in an athletic affair that saw Prodigy rise above the limitations of his aging body to remind everyone of his legendary greatness.
Johnny Rocket, overtaken by the excitement of the awesome victory, hyped Prodigy up following the match, singing his man’s praises to anyone who would listen.
* Lance At-Las and Janus the Overman (w/Destruction 3000) def. Lord Nexus and Saboteur when Lance At-Las bt. Lord Nexus with a perfectly executed CENTRA LEG SWEEP.
This tag match ended up being one of the highlights of the 3-show Tarkanian swing. The fans were treated to an impressive exhibition of tag wrestling as all four men showed those watching how It’s supposed to be done. Lord Nexus and Lance At-Las impressed the most as the two squared off on several different occasions during the contest and each time went toe-to-toe and equaled one another on every front. Lance At-Las gave Lord Nexus his props after the match and Lord Nexus, in a show of respect for the legend, returned the favor during his post-match interviews.
* Adam Blast (w/Ms. Liberty) dq. Minister of War when Vengeance refused to yield to the ref’s repeated warnings about ignoring the 3-count to release a hold.
After the match the Minister of War admitted that he was trying to blind Adam Blast with his Eye Cleaver and claimed cryptically that the Earthling won’t be so fortunate the next time as “his number is up and its only a matter of time.”.
Following the Minister of War's statements Lance At-Las issued a press release condemning Vengeance’s actions in the match and warned the defiant Aethran against further displays of blatant disregard for the rules and regulations of the sport, suggesting that if there is a next time he won’t hesitate to hand down severe punishments.
* Evolution (w/Doomsayer) bt. Colossus Cyborg of Sagitta (w/Destruction 3000) following 3-straight DECAPITATORS.
* Corporal Aegis and Star Slayer (w/Cassandra & Rouser) cor. Shock Probation (w/Magnus the Magnanimous) when both teams refused to re-enter the ring during a brawl on the floor and were counted out as a result.
Security had to be called out to break up the fighting, which continued uninterrupted after the bell.
* Chaos Supreme and The Prime Colonizer (w/Magnus the Magnanimous & Tocsin) def. Bloodline and Pegasus the Powerful (w/Johnny Rocket & Mother Superior) when Chaos sub. Pegasus with BOW OF DEFEAT (+2) in what was maybe the best match of the 3-show series from the New Rose Hotel.
Chaos, despite never having wrestled even a single match in all of Centra prior to stepping in the CEW ring for this match, was way over with the crowd and his popularity, based entirely on reputation, rivaled even that of Bloodline who had become in recent years a perennial favorite.
Chaos clearly favored the fans’ adoration for him and he played up to it and put on a more than impressive display in his Centra Pro-Wrestling debut. Chaos seemed to dominate at will and controlled nearly every aspect of the match, manipulating its workings as a master in-ring tactician does. Even then, Rocket’s boys weren’t about to be shown up so easily and, maybe feeling a bit disrespected, surged late as Johnny Rocket excitedly directed traffic.
Bloodline and Pegasus used their experience together to their advantage and their tag-work was crisp and efficient. There was a point near the end where it looked as though Johnny Rocket’s team could get the win and as commanding as their in-ring work and talents were, this was Chaos’ night and he wouldn’t be denied having his hand raised in his Centra wrestling debut.
After the match Chaos, during his post-match interviews, let all those assembled know that,
“None may oppose the awesome might of Chaos. I reign supreme! All who dare stand against me will Bow in Defeat!”
Card #3 (8/04/19) @ the New Rose Hotel – Tarkania, Centra Prime
7,499 fans in attendance - sold out!
* Revolver (w/Doomsayer) bt. Zouave the Conqueror following a schoolboy rollup.
* The Paradise Punks (w/Sanora Pelf & The Dominator) bt. Slaughterhouse (w/Bishop Hell) when Taurine bt. Mayhem after Mayhem badly missed on the LEAP OF DOOM.
Bishop Hell used HELLFIRE on Romulus, removing him from the match and injuring him for 2 fight cards. The Dominator tried to go after Bishop Hell in retaliation but was stopped by ringside security who kept the pair apart in service of keeping the peace at ringside. The Dominator fought with security until eventually he and Bishop Hell were removed from ringside in an effort to quell the growing tensions on the floor.
* Blazing Holocaust (w/Bishop Hell) bt. Lope (w/Shann-Ra & Doomsday Creature) with SHOCKWAVE after the feral AniMan missed HOWL OF THE WOLF to the outside and ended up in the 3rd row of the crowd and badly busted up as a result.
Doomsday Creature attacked Blazing Holocaust after the match and nearly killed the poor ref when he got a little too close to the post-match extracurriculars and was scooped up by Doomsday Creature and tossed out and onto the floor headfirst. In hindsight the ref was lucky he didn’t have his limbs torn off one-by-one by the reptilian AniMan abomination via DISMEMBERMENT as despite being christened “The Beastmaster”, Shann-Ra only ever has a tenuous hold over the creature that once was known as Reptillo.
* Lord Nexus cor. Mister Centra when Mister Centra refused to re-enter the ring after being given an extensive technical wrestling lesson by Lord Nexus for most of the match up to that point.
Mister Centra essentially forfeited the match because he was unhappy with the way it was going. Despite the protests of the ref, fans, and even Lord Nexus, Mister Centra, in temper tantrum-like fashion, exited to the back, leaving Lord Nexus opponentless in the ring and the ref with no choice but to count him out. Mister Centra has received immense heat from fans and critics alike, so much so that Lance At-Las, as acting commissioner of the promotion, has agreed to investigate the matter.
*Centra Battlefield 6-Man Tag Event: Total Anarchy and Truth & Consequences (w/Oracle) def. Doomsayer and The Star Destroyers when Agony bt. Doomsayer with ETERNAL SUFFERING after Oracle saw into several possible futures and used the information gleaned to give his team the winning advantage over The Galactic Rebels team.
* Superiority (w/Johnny Rocket) def. The Federation Defense Fighters (w/Ms. Liberty) when Pegasus the Powerful sub. Adam Blast with WINGS OF PEGASUS.
* Corporal Aegis (w/Cassandra & Rouser) def. The Prime Colonizer (w/Magnus the Magnanimous & Tocsin) despite liberal interference from both Magnus and Tocsin with a brainbuster suplex following an Opening Salvo nearfall.
*Special Attraction 2 out of 3 falls Tag Event: The Cetus Gamemasters (w/Mother Superior) def. Twin Blood (w/Johnny Rocket) 2 falls to 0.
1 - Bloodline bt. Dreggs with the CETUS BIG BANG.
2- Bloodline sub. Dreggs with the CETUS SLEEPER GRIP.
*Centra Death Match (no dq, no one allowed at ringside): Raven def. Minister of War following a Raven Reverse Piledriver off the ring apron to the floor.
Both wrestlers bled heavily in this one as the action was wild and reckless, and the violence flowed freely as the hatred between the two was palpable right from the start. The fans were way into it and loved the result as the Minister of War is reviled across Centra and hated with a passion rarely ever seen in the pro-wrestling community at-large. It was clear the fans wanted Raven to kill Vengeance in this one, but much to their disappointment the self-proclaimed Minister of War will live to fight another day and has already vowed to give Raven his “receipt” the next time he sees him.
