BREAKING NEWS: TEXAS SUCCEEDS FROM THE UNION
In an unprecedented event, the three Texas based promoters of the Union of Pro Wrestling have decided to leave the Union as a whole, and come together to make the state of Texas an independent territory. Acting Executive Director Jim Crockett, Jr made this statement, "While we would like to tell you this is a shocking development, we have been aware of the likeliness of this for several months. We're very sorry and upset to lose such a large market, however, we wish them nothing but the best in this endeavor and hope they consider a working relationship later down the line."
Dory Detton, Fritz Von Erich, and Morris Sigel have come forward to the public as the driving forces behind this divide. Fritz had this to say, "Things with the Union just weren't working the way they used to. I could sit here and go on for days about my issues, but the here and the now is what matters. The world is watching Texas, and we're going to deliver."
And the world is indeed watching, as many high level talents have been confirmed. Texas fans will have the likes of The Von Erich boys, The Funks, various luchadores, and many more familiar faces they'll be delighted to see. But they will also have defects from the Union, such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Magnum TA, Brian Pillman, and many more!
Texas will be debuting as an independent entity the first of the year, with an event called the Lonestar Grand Prix! This will be a 48 man league that will run 2 shows a week. There will be 4 brackets with 12 in each. The 4 men who win their brackets will meet in a one night round robin tournament to decide the first Texas Heavyweight Champion. Stay tuned, True Believers! Things are gonna get wild.

THE UNION OF PRO WRESTLING: A BIT OF BACKSTORY
The Union of Pro Wrestling is essentially what we know as the National Wrestling Alliance. They have influence over some of the top names of the sport, and have the most recognized version of the World Heavyweight Championship in existence. They have massive presence in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Japan, among other top regions of the world. There have always been break-off territories throughout their existence, but Texas is one that stands out due to it's size. These break-off territories include a lot of the "number 2" or second largest/most popular promotions in their respective regions. Operations in the Union are proceeding just as normal, but several top stars have left for the Lonestar State. They understood this would have been the case and have taken steps to replace those of whom who have left. Speaking of the break-offs, Texas has decided to reach out to some of them for talent exchanges. While not official alliances, these working relationships will mean that Texas will get access to some top level talent themselves.
Now, one more piece of business regarding the Union. There is a list of wrestlers the Union has made over the years. Not so much a "Most Wanted" list, consider it a "Most Banned" list. The people on this list have been partially or completely banned from competing under the Union banner. The reasons they're on the list are vast, but it's the Top 25 that are the most interesting. These are people are the only ones completely banned from competition. Either because of repeated offenses or massive ones that couldn't be ignored. This entire list will be thrown away in Texas. The entire list, but the very Top 5. The Top 5 are guilty of crimes too great to be ignored, even in the environment Texas is to trying to capture.
BEFORE WE BEGIN, THE LANDSCAPE FORMS
On the eve before the Lonestar Grand Prix begins, we get a chance to see the field of 48. They will be brought forward in their brackets. But first, let's go over some of the rules here in Texas. First off, the matter of in-ring rules. The fans deserve clear winners. Disqualifications will be in play, though the in-ring officials have been encouraged to let the action go a little. Count-outs will not be in enforced, but decisions will only occur in the ring.
Bracket A
Cactus Jack The Man from Truth & Consequences comes to Texas looking for a new home. Number 25 on the Most Banned list, he comes to do what he loves most. Cause pain.
Kerry Von Erich One of the sons of promoter Fritz Von Erich, Kerry steps into the event looking to defend his home from the new faces seeking to claim it.
Terry Funk Another son of Texas, he's a bit more shocking. A month prior to the succession, Funk was the UPW World Heavyweight champion. After losing the title in a match in Puerto Rico, he moved back to the Double Cross Ranch.
Lou Thesz Another former World champion, Thesz comes here to show he's the best of the best. Even in a new territory.
Steve Williams The Good Doctor comes to town, to bust some new and familiar heads. Fresh off a tour of Japan, he's ready to storm North America.
Kenta Kobashi Kobashi comes into this as one of two representatives of our partner in Japan. He has crossed paths with several people in this event already, and is looking forward to doing it all again.
Keith Lee One of the dark horses here, Lee comes in with the least amount of exposure. He has one goal. To make Texas...BASK...in his glory.
Abdullah the Butcher Easily one of the most dangerous men walking the planet, Number 20, Abdullah comes to Texas as a charge. Of who, we don't know yet. But whoever they are, they have a powerful weapon.
Ted DiBiase A man known as the richest professional wrestler in the world, DiBiase comes to Texas looking for more than money. He looks to prove he's the best to never hold the World title. That hasn't stopped him from buying up some oil rigs, though.
Bryan Danielson A man known to those "in the know" as the best in the world. Danielson looks to kick some heads off and prove that the fans are correct.
Roddy Piper Piper comes in like the house of fire he is, getting into every face he can. Stirring the pot is his specialty, as he has proven by already getting into an altercation with our next entrant.
Bruno Sammartino Another former World champion, Sammartino has a lot of people targeting the longest reigning champion of all time. If there was ever a man to make a statement on, it's Bruno
Bracket B
Magnum TA A man looking to make the next step in his career, Magnum steps into the Lonestar State to become the megastar he was born to be.
Stan Hansen Stan f***ing Hansen. Nothing more.
Johnny Valentine Valentine is a respected man throughout pro wrestling. As tough as they come, he's gonna fight who he wants, when he wants.
Randy Savage The MADNESS comes through Texas. One of the most popular men of all time, Savage goes for gold.
Matt Riddle An interesting case. A star in the world of MMA, this is his first big chance in pro wrestling.
Mil Mascaras One of the most famous, and infamous, luchadores of all time. Mascaras is good, and nobody on the planet can deny it.
Booker T A 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time world champion. He has come to Texas because he sees a great chance to test himself.
Stone Cold Steve Austin The toughest SOB to step into a squared circle, Austin has two goals. Become champion and raise hell. Not exactly in that order.
The Great Kabuki Another addition to the mystery group that has been formed, Kabuki brings an air of mystery himself. His intentions aren't known, but we're sure they will be soon.
Red Bastien A tag team specialist, Red comes into this looking for singles success.
Killer Kowalski A HATED man in pro wrestling. Texas doesn't seem to be any different.
Jimmy Snuka Snuka has many enemies here in Texas, and he's willing to do anything to turn them away.
Bracket C
Dory Funk Jr The second resident of the Double Cross Ranch. Dory is ready to bust some noses and make the best tap out.
David Von Erich Another son of Fritz, David has the same goal as Kerry. Defend his home and prove himself to the world.
Eddie Guerrero A representative of the great Guerrero family. Eddie is one of the most loved wrestlers walking today and fans are hyped up for his time here.
Nick Bockwinkel A big star of the North East, Bockwinkel comes here after being ousted from his own promotion. Bitter to make a statement, he's gonna be a tough one to top.
Terry Gordy Another man off a tour of Japan, Gordy is one of the most powerful men here. He'll powerbomb his way into a title, and he'll be in your face about it.
Jeff Hardy The most...enigmatic man in Texas. Jeff has a reputation of putting his own body on the line to get the job done.
Buddy Rogers The former World champion has a lot to prove after the way he lost the title the last time. He hasn't been seen since the quick loss and seeks his own revenge by winning the championship here.
Mitsuharu Misawa Misawa is a massively popular man in his home country. Coming with Kobashi, he's here to show his heart of a tiger.
Cody Rhodes One of the sons of the Son of a Plumber, Cody has made big moves in changing pro wrestling recently. He has taken a break from these ventures, at the behest of his father Dusty, to take part in elevating Texas. We'll see if he sticks around afterwards.
The Sheik This is a man nobody on the planet can read, and for good reason. He's nuts. He seems to be acting on his own accord, despite his past.
Shawn Michaels The Showstopper has walked away from a forever job in the UPW to come back home to Texas. Considering his talent and his resume, this bracket is believed to be his. That is unless the next man has anything to say about it.
Bret Hart The Hitman gave up the British Commonwealth Championship to make the move to Texas. He has high hopes and has already been met with great fanfare.
Bracket D
The Undertaker The most anticipated man in this tournament, The Undertaker is arguably the most sought after talent in the world. The UPW made every attempt to stop him from walking away, but The Dead Man was having none of it. His intent is clear. Texas belongs to him.
Rey Mysterio The Biggest Little Man in the world, Mysterio brings great tradition to the event. He knows exactly what he's stepping into here and he's ready.
Harley Race "I am the greatest professional wrestler walking God's green Earth. Not a single person on this planet can best me, and soon, all of Texas will know that." He insisted on introducing himself.
Bruiser Brody King Kong. Superbeast. There are many names that can describe Bruiser Brody. If it was up to him, "Champion" will be a new one.
Blackjack Mulligan Blackjack is a man in the ass kicking business. And in Texas, business is good.
Dustin Rhodes The older brother of Cody, Dustin comes here to step out of his family shadow, and into a spotlight of his own.
Sabu This psychopath really has no understandable reason for signing with us. He just wants to cause as much pain as he can. Winning a title, or even winning at all, might be of no meaning to him.
ACH Now for a man with real...MOTIVATION. A hot young star, ACH has a unique chance here.
Ernie Ladd A former Texas champion, Big Cat comes back to Texas seeking to do it again with the world watching.
Pepper Gomez The last UPW Texas champion before the succession, he seeks to reclaim a championship in his mind he never lost.
Zack Sabre Jr A true unique case in this tournament, this submission artist has a single goal. To make every man in Texas...Just...Tap...Out.
Brian Pillman Seen by the public as THE single most controversial man in pro wrestling, Pillman wasn't on the banned list at all. But he always went out of his way to make headlines by getting into verbal and physical altercations with promoters, wrestlers, fans, anybody who is in front of him really. We look forward to seeing it continue.
Our field is set, the ring is up, and the men are ready. And we hope you are, too.

Week 1. Dallas, Texas. The Sportatorium.
The Sportatorium is packed! The fans are excited! The concession stand is emptied out! But before we get to business, a man has asked for mic time. We're gonna send it to ringside with Marc Lowrance.
Marc: Hello fans, and welcome! To the first night of the Lonestar Grand Prix! The winner of this event, as you all know, will win the new Texas Heavyweight Championship! The world is watching, and we're gonna turn up the heat. But before any action, we have a guest. A man by the name of Gary Hart.
Gary Hart makes his way down to ringside
Marc: Mr. Hart, you'-
Gary Hart snatches the mic away and points Marc to the back. Marc hesitates, but he leaves.
Gary Hart: Ladies and gentlemen, as you've heard, my name is Gary Hart. I am the manager of The Stable of H & H. And I am here to introduce you to the men who make up The Stable. First, Abdullah the Butcher!
Abdullah lumbers his way through the crowd, swiping at the fans as he passes.
The Sheik!
The Sheik does much of the same as Abdullah, The Sheik almost causes a blaze while swinging around a lit torch, horrifying fans
The Great Kabuki!
Kabuki takes full advantage of the horrified fans as he saunters his way through their seats
And finally...The Undertaker!
The Undertaker, in his funeral best complete with purple stripped tie and wide brimmed hat, slowly passes by spectators. They know Gary Hart has done the impossible, and that it very well may land him the Texas Heavyweight Championship.
Gary Hart: Know this, Texas. Know, that one of these men will be YOUR first Texas Heavyweight Champion. And GOD help you, should they all make the finals. I'm not sure any of you would survive that storm.
Gary and The Stable leave ringside, and we're ready to begin
Block A
Cactus Jack vs Kerry Von Erich
One of the favorite sons of Texas had his hands full with Cactus Jack. They fought throughout the crowd, but a double art DDT caught Kerry to end it.
Terry Funk vs Lou Thesz
Another son of Texas in action here, in ANOTHER hyper-physical contest. Lou Thesz tried to wrestle Funk, but Funk made it clear that wasn't happening. Funk got fed up with the match, and seemingly left to the back. He came back WITH A FLAMING BRANDING IRON. The ref immediately ran to stop him, only to be tossed aside by Thesz. As he did this, Funk took the chance to blow fire into the eyes of Thesz! He's blinded! Piledriver! Funk gets the win.
Steve Williams vs Kenta Kobashi
Two men who have faced off before in Japan, they picked right up where they left off. A moonsault gets Kenta the big first impression in front of the new fans.
Keith Lee vs Abdullah the Butcher
Two HOSSES do battle here. Abdullah was talked up a lot by his manager, and he delivered...to a degree. The match was as bloody as you would think, but a SPIRIT BOMB almost puts Abdullah through the ring and gives Lee a massive win. BASK.
Ted DiBiase vs Bryan Danielson
Now this one went NOWHERE near like people expected. Bryan had a flurry of offense to begin the match, but after a missed suicide dive that landed him head first into the ground, DiBiase took advantage. A Million Dollar Dream and Bryan passes out.
Roddy Piper vs Bruno Sammartino
Bruno was sideswiped by Piper during his entrance and the fans let him hear it! The entire match, Piper is parading Bruno around and berating the fans. Once the match gets into the ring, however, it's all Bruno! A BIG bear hug ends it!
Block B
Magnum TA vs Stan Hansen
Magnum and Hansen come out swinging and hard! They don't enter, they just come out in a brawl. When they get in the ring, much of the same! But when Magnum goes to the top, Hansen LARIATS him right off the top rope to the outside. He follows him out and delivers a second! Hansen rolls Magnum into the ring and hits a third for the win.
Johnny Valentine vs Randy Savage
An old school fight! The crowd LOVES this one. A flying elbow drop gets Savage the win.
Matt Riddle vs Mil Mascaras
Two contrasting styles! MMA vs Lucha Libre! While Riddle catches Mil out of the air into a triangle, Mil bridges into a pin and catches him! They shake hands to a huge pop.
Booker T vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
These two go at it like they're in a grocery store or something! They throw chairs, tables, even souvenir cups! But when it comes down to it, a stunner gets Stone Cold the win.
The Great Kabuki vs Red Bastien
A great match of agility and style. But it's a spray of mist to the eyes and a roll up that gets the win for Kabuki.
Killer Kowalski vs Jimmy Snuka
Killer and Snuka had a classic to end night one! Trading splashes and knee drops, Kowalski caught Snuka and put him down with the claw.
As Kowalski is celebrating his win, he's offered a microphone to end out the show and say anything he'd like to say. Kowalski takes a second, but he takes it.
Kowalski: Ladies and gentlemen...thank you. Thank you very much for welcoming us, and in particular, me. Welcoming me into your community, into your lives. I'm sure this is a big adjustment, as it is for us. And I'-
Kowalski then notices Snuka is starting to stir and breaks his sentence to go back and beat down Snuka with the microphone in a completely unsettling way to the cordial manner he was speaking before. He continues the beating and BITES Snuka in the forehead and draws blood! Kowalski gets up, blood dripping from his face, and turns back to the camera to speak.
Kowalski: And I'm sure you love having all of here with you. As we will love being here. Thank you.
The fans are in shock as Kowalski drops the mic, as medics rush to Snuka. Fade to black.

Week 1. Dallas, Texas. The Sportatorium.
The fans are piling into the Sportatorium, and Marc Lowrance is standing in the ring.
Marc: Hello, ladies and gentlemen! While the last of you are finding your seats, I'd like to introduce my guest at this time. He is known as "The Heart Break Kid" Shawn Michaels!
Shawn Michaels makes his way out, with a big pop from the women in the crowd
Marc: Shawn, wel-
Shawn takes the mic from Marc and shoos him away. Marc just can't seem to get a word in with these guys.
Shawn: Dallas, Dallas, Dallaaaaaaaaaaaas! It's been a while since I've been back here and let me tell you all, I've missed you.
The crowd cheers along to the cheap pop
Now a lot of people have asked me why I made the jump. Why I left my position in the UPW to come here, a "downgrade" as some are calling it. Well, I'm calling it "a better opportunity." A better opportunity to steal the show! A better opportunity to show I'm the best! A better opportunity to-
As Shawn turns around, he sees a familiar face walking down the entrance way. It's his opponent tonight, Bret Hart! Ooooooooooooooooooh boy.
Shawn: Well look what the ca-
Bret Hart: Shut your mouth, Michaels.
A buzz goes through the crowd as Hart enters the ring
Bret: Let's call this what it is. You couldn't win back the UPW World title, so you left to a place you thought was easy pickings. But I don't think you counted on half of us being here. I don't think you counted on ME being here.
Shawn does his best CM Punk impression into the camera and goes to speak again
Shawn: Big words coming from a man who left the Union and cried foul for a year. Bret, do you know WHY I got that last three count on you? Do you know WHY you couldn't break out of that pin? WHY you thought the count was "fast?" It's because you can't stand someone being better than you.
Shawn and Bret get way up in each other's faces now and security starts to bolt in to break them up.
Shawn: And you KNOW I'm better than you!
With this, Bret breaks out of the clutches of the security team and punches Shawn! A wild brawl breaks out as both men try to get at each other! We're gonna go to to a commercial and come back, ready for action!
Block C
Dory Funk Jr vs David Von Erich
As we come back from break, Dory and David make their ways down to the ring. Two sons of Texas, they put on a clinic! Dory catches a deep, deep Cloverleaf for the submission win!
Eddie Guerrero vs Nick Bockwinkel
Bockwinkel tried to put down the good vibe that Eddie brought with him, but that didn't stop Eddie from being Eddie. The ref was knocked down, and Eddie pulled the chair trick! Bockwinkel was being grilled by the ref, but as he was screaming his own innocence, Eddie rolled him up for the 3! Remember. "If you're not cheating, you're not trying."
Terry Gordy vs Jeff Hardy
One of the more interesting contests, Gordy came out with the Confederate Flag painted on his face to counter Hardy's enigmatic appearance! Hardy was unmoved however, as he was able to hit a big Twist of Fate AND a Swanton Bomb to put the bigger man down! (There's a lot of face paint on the mat now, though...)
Buddy Rogers vs Mitsuharu Misawa
Another big technical classic! It turned a series of reversals that landed Misawa in the Figure Four Grapevine, and with nowhere to go, he tapped.
Cody Rhodes vs The Sheik
The crowd is in BIG for Cody, but The Sheik jumps him before the bell! Right into the camera, Cody is jabbed repeatedly with the spike! Gary Hart at ringside is barking orders while Cody tries to fight back. A big Disaster Kick! Cross Rhodes! Cody grabs the flash win! Gary Hart is losing his mind!
Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart
As soon as both men were in the ring, there was nothing pretty about what happened. They charged each other while Bret still had his jacket on. For about 20 minutes it was just an ugly, ugly brawl around ringside. It wasn't until Shawn went for a crossbody that Bret flipped it over and got the 3! But the two men acted as though they didn't hear the bell and just kept fighting! Security had to get involved yet again as both men barked at each other.
Block D
The Undertaker vs Rey Mysterio
Gary Hart is back out, hoping his Stable doesn't go 0-4 on the week. Rey Mysterio uses his speed to combat the much larger, yet agile opponent. A dragonrana attempt ends in a powerbomb. After this, Mysterio could never get back on his feet, and The Dead Man hits a big Tombstone for the win.
Harley Race vs Bruiser Brody
Another two men who just wanted to fight, and fight they did. Race drove Brody shoulder first into the ring post and hit a suplex for the win.
Blackjack Mulligan vs Dustin Rhodes
Blackjack took this chance to beat down an old rival's son. Dustin, never one to "just be his father's son" made a point that he was his own man and Blackjack needed to focus on that! Dustin catches an inverted DDT for the win AND to demand his own respect!
Sabu vs ACH
Normally to begin matches, wrestlers feel each other out, maybe a test of strength. Not in a Sabu match! Sabu spent several minutes throwing the entire front row of chairs at ACH in the ring. ACH had enough and hit a big suicide dive and began the match proper! But the chairs came back into play when ACH got caught by Sabu throwing a chair directly in his face and a camel clutch on his limp body. The ref had to call for the bell.
Ernie Ladd vs Pepper Gomez
The two men might be vastly different in height, but in toughness they're equals! The two men tested this out with repeated strikes in a contest that King's Road fans would drool over! Ernie hit a big boot to the face and rolled up Gomez for the hard fought win.
Zack Sabre Jr vs Brian Pillman
Pillman almost spent more time trying to get into fights with fans than he did with ZSJ! Before Zack was even in the arena Pillman had gotten into 3 altercations with fans! When Zack had finally entered, Pillman did as well. What followed was a (relatively) clean contest. Pillman showcased his own mat skills, but ZSJ was on full display. But an unseen ring bell shot and an Air Pillman secured the point for Pillman!
Pillman doesn't wait for the mic to be offered, as fans are throwing garbage and insults towards the ring. Pillman gets a chair in the ring and sits down.
Pillman: Oooooooooooh what's wrong, Texas? You don't like me? Well here's the thing, Texas. Here's the thing. I have taken this live mic, and I'm gonna use it! I was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired. I was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired for showing the very same FIRE that the f***ing Union wanted! They told me "Brian" they said "Brian, we want some FIRE out of you. Show us some FIRE." Well I did! I showed them more fire than those ja*****s knew what to do with! More fire than you f***ing d******s know what to do with! Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeey were gonna ban me. "Oh, OH, that Brian Pillman is a "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE CANNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON." "He's DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGEROUS." I say, you know what I say? I say they're too f***ing stupid to know what I am! I am BRIAN F***ING PILLMAN. I'm the realest man in professional wrestling and that scared them. That scares you f***ing smarks, that scares Von Erich, Denton, Sigel, and whoever else is running this s***show territory!
As Brian continues to ramble, the three promoters enter the ring to calm him down
Brian: Oooooooooh what's wrong Fritz? What's wrong? You can't go anymore so you make a promotion around your little boys? You-don't touch me you little b****.
Pillman starts to shove the promoters as they try to escort him out, and this has Kerry, Kevin, and David Von Erich come out as well. Pillman headbutts David in the mouth prompting the other two to swing on Brian. This fight has gotten too out of control! We fade to black with the fight still rolling!

Week 2. Houston, Texas. The Summit.
Dark Match
Sam Houston & PG-13 vs Jushin Liger, L.A. Park, and Psicosis
The masked men made quick work of the faces after L.A. Park DECKED Sam Houston with a chair.
The fans finish finding their seats and we have Marc Lowrance at ringside, with his guest Dory Detton.
Marc: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to week 2 of the Lonestar Grand Prix! I have with me one of our commissioners, Dory Detton, here to speak about what had happened at the end of last week and how the federation is going to respond. Dory, take it away.
Dory: As everyone knows, Brian Pillman took the microphone and went on a rant at the end of our last show. We would like to say Brian Pillman in no way speaks for this federation and his comments are being handled very seriously. That is why Brian Pillman is being fined $10,000. Security will be beefed up as of tonight and we hope that it makes this a safer and better experience for our live crowds. That being said, one of the men in our first contest also took part in a deplorable act last week. Killer Kowalski is ALSO being fined $5,000 for his post match on Jimmy Snuka.
As Dory ends his sentence, Kowalski comes storming out screaming. But right behind him, Red Bastien! We start our action now!
Block B
Red Bastien vs Killer Kowalski
After the pre-match brawl, Bastien is able to quickly hit an Atomic Drop and a roll up for the win! Kowlski is irate!
The Great Kabuki vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Before this match begins, Gary Hart comes out with a microphone with Kabuki. But before he can really say anything, Austin is on his heels! He smacks Kabuki with a chair to start ANOTHER brawl off (running theme with the territory so far, huh?) Austin hits a big stunner for the win.
Magnum TA vs Jimmy Snuka
Finally, a normal beginning to a match. Magnum and Snuka come out in a storm. This storm lasts the entire, quick match, as Snuka nails a suplex into the turnbuckle and then a Superfly to get the win.
Randy Savage vs Matt Riddle
Savage and Riddle had a nice clash of styles, but Savage really controlled this one. Riddle missed a running knee and eats a piledriver and a flying elbow, Savage gets the 3.
Booker T vs Mil Mascaras
Bell rings! Book End! Scissor Kick! It's over! Booker T apparently wasn't getting paid by the hour.
Stan Hansen vs Johnny Valentine
Very hard hitting, high energy match from these two brawlers. Hansen hits a Lariat out of a hip toss for the win.
Block A
Bryan Danielson vs Roddy Piper
Piper got in Danielson's face and controlled the match, while berating him and telling him to go back to his "bingo halls." Bryan got control of the match and took the chance to KICK Piper's head off. Bryan puts Piper down via referee stoppage with MMA Elbows.
Ted DiBiase vs Abdullah the Butcher
The Butcher earned his name with this match, but overdid himself. The referee attempted to take his sharp weapon away, but DiBiase got hold of it in a Million Dollar Dream while hitting Abdullah with the weapon to make him pass out.
Cactus Jack vs Bruno Sammartino
A hard hitting match that ends in a Bear Hug.
Lou Thesz vs Steve Williams
Another straight to the point match that ends with a powerbomb that folds up Williams.
Keith Lee vs Kenta Kobashi
We picked back up with ANOTHER King's Road Classic with two big guys just BEATING each other down. The sounds of the chops gave several people in the front two rows headaches. Keith Lee grabs another big win with a Spirit Bomb.
Kerry Von Erich vs Terry Funk
Two sons of Texas have a CLASSIC as they fight up and down the rows of fans. Funk yells and berates the fans to get away from him while Kerry defends himself. At one point, Funk traps Kerry's arm in the guardrail and hits it with a chair! Funk gets thrown head first into the ring post and gets busted open! Discuss Punch! CLAW! 3 COUNT! Kerry gets the win!
A beat up Kerry gladly takes the microphone as the fans cheer him on
Kerry: Thank you! Thank you, guys! Man, this place got off to a rocky start, huh? I did, too. I lost last week. But tonight fixed that. I fixed that mistake. And I'm gonna make sure it doesn't happen again, I'm gonna make sure I don't let you guys down again!
The fans chant Kerry's name
This is the first step in winning the Texas Heavyweight Championship! And you guys are gonna be with me the entire way!
Kerry drops the mic and poses with the crowd as they cheer for Kerry! Fade to black.

Week 2. El Paso, Texas. Don Haskins Center.
Dark Match
Hayabusa, Jinsei Shinzaki, and The Great Sasuke vs Aerostar, Drago, and Rey Fenix
The 6 agile men wow the crowd as the opener. A series of tandem moves to Aerostar that concludes with a 450 from Hayabusa picks up the Japanese men the win.
The fans learned quick to get into their seats for the opener, and we already have a packed house. But before Marc Lowrance can even come out, Dustin and Cody Rhodes come tumbling out of the curtain area fighting! What's going on!? The brawl gets so heated the entire Face locker room clears out and keeps the brothers apart! They're yelling at one another as they're dragged to the back! Marc Lowrance comes out to keep the peace with the fans and announce our first matches of the night.
Block D
Pepper Gomez vs Zack Sabre Jr
These two had a mat clinic, and Pepper caught ZSJ out of an armbar into a pin and got the three. Zack looks extremely upset this happened again.
Ernie Ladd vs ACH
Ernie tossed ACH around like a doll. But ACH used his speed and explosive offense to fell the giant!
The Undertaker vs Brian Pillman
Pillman came out and got in the face of the crowd again! This went on for several minutes until The Undertaker, along with Gary Hart, came storming out and grabbed Pillman to the roaring delight of the crowd! This might be the only positive pop Gary Hart has ever had in Texas...After he got his hands on him, The Undertaker took Pillman to school. It ends with a big Tombstone.
Bruiser Brody vs Blackjack Mulligan
Two hosses getting into another brawl in the crowd. This is something the fans here will never tire of! King Kong Knee Drop seals it for Brody.
Sabu vs Dustin Rhodes
Sabu is out first and starts tossing more chairs! Dustin comes out on fire and blindsides Sabu! He's still fuming from his fight with his brother earlier in the night and takes it to Sabu. Later on, Dustin looks to have the win in hand, when Cody hops onto the apron! Dustin charges at him but Sabu catches Dustin with chair throw after chair throw! A top rope leg drop onto the pile of chairs ends it, while Cody laughs.
Rey Mysterio vs Harley Race
Mysterio and Race have a surprisingly physical contest. Race catches a springboard dropkick to the moosh and starts bleeding from the mouth! Race starts ripping at the mask of Mysterio. Block C
The Sheik vs Shawn Michaels
The Sheik did his homework! Almost everything Shawn did, Sheik had the answer for. Shawn was able to take enough control to go for the Sweet Chin Music, but as he was about to hit it, The Sheik hit a fireball! Sheik gets a roll up and holds the ropes for the win!
Cody Rhodes vs Mitsuharu Misawa
Cody receives big boos as he refuses to lock up with Misawa. But as Cody exits the ring, Dustin starts heading down the ramp! This causes Cody to spring back into the ring and right into a Roaring Elbow! Knockout shot! Misawa gets the win as Dustin stopped halfway down the entrance just to watch!
Dory Funk Jr vs Bret Hart
Sharpshooter vs Cloverleaf! A technical masterpiece ends with Hart countering a sunset flip with a Sharpshooter and getting the submission victory!
Nick Bockwinkel vs Terry Gordy
Bockwinkel had no choice but to try and weather the storm that is Bam Bam. Gordy was too eager to hurt Bock as Bock sidestepped Gordy and went head first into the post. Bock got in his sleeper and Gordy went night night.
Buddy Rogers vs Jeff Hardy
It was clear Buddy had never faced anybody quite like Hardy as he was thrown off his game all night. Hardy hit a Twist of Fate for the win.
David Von Erich vs Eddie Guerrero
The crowd was split right down the middle with "Let's go David!" "Let's go Eddie!" chants! 42 minutes went by, the longest contest so far by a mile, as these two WOULD. NOT. QUIT. All of their classic and signature moves were thrown out, but it was when David went a little off the script and try to hit Eddie's frog splash, but Eddie countered with a big top rope hip toss! Eddie goes up and hits the frog splash for the win!
As become a bit of standard, Eddie takes the mic after his win.
Eddie: Que pasa, El Paso!? How about that, huh!? My man, David and I just TORE THE HOUSE DOWN.
Eddie stops David from leaving and offers him a handshake. David immediately takes it and pulls Eddie in for a hug, thanking him for the great contest, then makes his exit.
David and the rest of the Von Erich's are people I respect. They're people we GUERRERO'S respect! And I'm so glad him and I got to do this in front of my hometown! But my friends, we're not done yet. I'M NOT DONE YET. It's not over until I have that BEAUTIFUL Texas Heavyweight title on my shoulder! And when I win it, I'm bringing it right back here for a party, Latino Heat style! Viva la razaaaaaaaaaaa!
Eddie then exits the ring to celebrate, dance, and meet with the fans of El Paso. We fade to black.
