Well, that was a thing wasn't it? Probably one of the worst PPVs I've seen in years. The Becky/Sasha match started things off good, and everything went to hell after that. No pun intended. The main event was absolutely stupid. I'm not enamored with the Fiend character like most folks. He's on par with the Mantaur or Abe "Knuckleball" Swartz for me. I hate the mask, hate the dumb Mr. Rodgers skits. If they wanted to make him a main eventer, fine, but what do you do with the character now? Rollins nearly killed him, and he just got back up. It was waaaayyyy too much. Even Taker and Kane had physical limits.
Then to end it the way they did? Stupid! How many people did HHH whack with a sledge hammer and no one batted an eye? They sold the "anything goes" with Becky and Sasha in the earlier HIAC, but it's not the case in the main event?
I've been pretty disillusioned with the wrestling world at large lately, and this PPV has only reinforced that feeling. Perhaps my tastes are changing, perhaps it's something more. I'm not sure. Even with Smackdown this week, when the Rock, one of my favorite wrestlers, got the crowd to chant "STD" at Baron Corbin (Whom I hate, not like he's a bad guy so I don't like him. More I don't ever want to see him on my tv ever again hate) I was embarrassed to be a wrestling fan. Smackdown, or wrestling in general, finally makes it to network television, on a stage that could possibly bring millions of new fans to the sport, and they pull that crap?
I got off topic there. The fans were right to chant AEW at the end of the show. Although I thought AEW might change my mind about the wrestling industry, it too came off as amateurish, as move after move was botched. Flipped over to NXT, nothing really excites me there either. Matt Riddle, go away. Please.
MLW is somewhat interesting, but I haven't watched enough to be really invested in the product.
I'm not sure what to do. I've been a wrestling fan for 35+ years, and I just don't seem to care for anything I see.

For the most part, I really like today's wrestling. I watch more current wrestling than anything else. But the ending of tonight's WWE PPV really sucked. There should never be a DQ finish in a Hell in a Cell match period (even more surprised the WWE had this lame finish just days after AEW debuts on TV.)
However the opening Hell in a Cell match between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch I thought was great and the second match, the tornado tag, was also good enough to hold my undivided attention. But most of the rest of the show was nothing all that special (I watched the rest of it while playing out the latest results of my Indy fed and and then posting them in the Indy Fed Forum here on this board while the show played in the background) and the ending IMO was one of the worst endings to a PPV that I have seen in quite awhile.
But again overall I do generally like most wrestling.

The entire booking of the match was a disaster from the start. If Bray loses, he goes right back to being the all-talk-no-payoff guy he'd turned into before his repackaging. But the Fiend isn't really a guy who should be holding a top title either, and furthermore if he wins the belt you now have part-time champions heading both brands, since the whole idea of the Fiend as I understand it is that he isn't supposed to be wrestling every week. It was just an idiotic idea to put him in a Cell title match to start with, because there's no finish...which is exactly what we got tonight.
Oh, and booking your lead babyface champion to scream and cower like a helpless teen girl in a slasher film to end Raw didn't help anybody, either.

I don't know how anyone can keep up with all the content the WWE puts out these days. There's too much to digest just to keep in the loop. Live local wrestling events and watching a few hours of wrestling a week on IWTV are all the wrestling I need. Indie wrestling has its own set of problems, though...

WWE will not be good again til Vince dies. Best hope would be for him to sink everything into his D-Level football league & turn his attention from WWE. Two of the worst title matches finishes in recent memory against 2 of the Worst WWE Champions in history. It’s honestly laughable at this point. How a company w so much talent can be so wretched & unwatchable. MLW & Beyond put on a better show each week w .00001 percent of WWE’s resources. Maybe they should forget about AEW & try and compete w Impact & ROH? Sad!

100% agree. WWEs biggest problem is that Brock is the only wrestler treated as special. Everybody else is on TV all the time usually multiple times a show. How soon before Lynch and Rollins show up on NXT so Vince can feel good about beating some WWE reunion fed again? Nothing is can’t miss viewing. And it’s on all the time. Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, Friday’s, online 24/7 365 etc etc...
Putting NXT out weeks ahead of AEW was the biggest mistake they could have made. Then they doubled down airing their main event to open the show against Cody vs Sammy??? Vince and HHH are that afraid if 2 star Cody? Give me a break.

No way some no muscle pancake throwing comedy act dressed up like a unicorn should get one move on Brock. It’s time WWE started taking its champ serious again. Rollins is a joke I don’t even consider him a champion. B belt that really means nothing.

If I was picking I would have said Sasha would beat Becky. I'm glad she didn't but I figured this would be the title change. I pretty much only watch the ppv each month. Generally it's on in the background I actually watch what I think might be good. That was an awful show.

I didn't get it , only buy main WWE PPVs like Wrestlemania , Royal Rumble etc . Sky sports charged about £18 (about $26) a month/PPV if not got the network . So we just watched RAW & Smackdown shows
