While on vacation (If you haven't been to Myrtle Beach, GO - You will be glad you did), I came across horse racing dice. They are five dice that are like regular dice, except the 1 is replaced by a horse. It inspired me to start my own league of thoroughbreds, hence the Tabletop Thoroughbred League is born.
I was wondering how many of you would like to become owners? If you're interested, let me know and come up with a name for your horse. I'd like to have twenty (20) of you if possible. If I don't get twenty owners, I'll fill in the blanks with real race horses. If I get more than 20 of you, great, we'll work everyone in that wants to play. If not, I'll fill in the blanks.
The league would work like this:
- Once a week, we would run four races of five horses each at a well known race track somewhere around the world. I have to do it this way due to the limitations of the dice.
- Starting position and race pairings would be determined by random draw before each event
- In each race, first place would get 5 points, second place 4 points, on down to one point for last place
I'll have more details as I put this together, but for now, if you'd like to enter a horse for season one, let me know.
