Man, I asked that Online not be pushed on me, yet in this case it appears to be the way to go. If I buy the digital sets, do I have to have a subscription to the gametable to use the cards. Or are they still viewable in a way that would facilitate playing with them, while using real dice. That doesn't sound like it would be feasible. Just in case, how much do the individual cards run for? And can I specially order just certain cards from HQ? I think I might get all the SE's, so I'm wondering about the normal individual cards. And Avarice, I really dig the description you gave me! And boy am I kicking myself for waiting this long. I've always been interested in the aCe, but there was such a long period of time where I didn't know if I was ever going to play CotG again, that buying the sets was never really a possibility. As always, thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out here, it is GREATLY appreciated! Osk can correct me if I'm wrong, but if you buy the digital cards, you can buy JUST the card set, and print them... you don't HAVE to also subcribe to the game table and whatnot... the upside of that is you'll get the tweaks that were done, and you'll get to see the art in color, as well as having access to the GWF files entries done online. The down side being you have to print them out yourself. What that gets you online is access to look at the set you've purchased in the gallery, and thats it... you'd only have demo privleges for stat tracker (which I think means you can look at stuff, but not enter anything or use the simulator) and the game table (IIRC, there are 4 guys you can use there....but it might just be Encubus and Bloodline) As someone who got the cards when the aCe pack was available, some comments if you go that route: If you're looking to buy the single cards, you can defintaely do without the original Ventross and Aegis cards.. both SEs are minor stat changes (Ventross gets a downgrade, while Aegis' is pretty lateral.. maybe a slight upgrade, depending on how you look at it) For Godsend, you can just no use his special power until the story warrants it... the card isn't that different. Murdok's SE is defiantely fine... the stat changes are minor, and the art rocks anyway Tek you REALLY need the older card for 2119... using his update kinda hurts your head. You could even get away with using Lance's 2092 card... the moves are different, but its pretty similar strength wise.. though the artist is such a different style it might be a bit jarring. Painmasters aCe card is massively different, so you'll want that one. Rouser, Grovel and Cremator you pretty much need their older cards... the don't have an aCe one.

With all the cards online for aCe now, we no longer sell the aCe collector's pack, which is what had all the old cards you needed to start up an aCe fed if you didn't own the GWF sets from 2110-2117.

Alright, I'm starting to get confused now. Everyone is helping so much I'm getting short-circuited on info! If it isn't too much trouble, could someone please tell me all of the cards I will need by year. As in:
aCe 2119 card1 card 2
I don't mean to be a pain, but I have never seen any of the GWF sets after 2089 and before 2119, so as far as stories and characters go, I'm completely lost.
Thanks again for all the help! When this community isn't undergoing veritable civil war, it rocks so hard! ;D
DMK, now that I know the originator of that description, once again it is awesome!
and Avarice, I totally agree. Bring that back!
Thanks again!

Cards that aren't in the 2119 set that you'll need to play the first year of aCe are as followed.
Murdok (2117) Grovel (2110) Aegis (2117) Ventross (2111) Corporal Tek (2117) Godsend (2115) Cremator (2117) Warfare (SE 2117) Lance At-Las (2108 SE)
Now there are 2120 SE versions of Godsend, Murdok, Ventross and Aegis that you could substitute for their previous GWF cards.

I forgot, you also need Rouser's 2110 (?) card. Although he's only around for 2119.
As for cards you'll need to play aCe 2120 that aren't included with the set, they are :
Painmaster (2117) Holocaust (Son of Bash SE or his Revolution era card)
Even though you can get away with not picking up Murdok, Aegis, Ventross and Godsend's earlier cards and just substitute their 2120 SE cards, I'd recomend you pick up their earlier versions as well as the 2120 SE updates. Especially in Ventross' case since his SE gets a downgrade. His 2111 card is better.
But thats up to you.
I think thats about it.

Does anyone know if I would I be able to buy the singular cards that are not offered specifically in the online store online by asking for them in the comments/special instructions box in the online checkout?
Thanks

I put in my order for all of the aCe sets and individual cards today!
However, I could have sworn that the page that came up after I submitted my order said that an e-mail had been sent to me. I just went to check my e-mail, and I don't have anything from Filsinger Games.
I'm now wondering if I somehow mis-typed my e-mail or did something wrong with the ordering process. If anyone could tell me whether or not I should have recieved a confirmation e-mail or not that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
