So I've been tossing the idea around in my head for sometime, and I think I'm finally committed to trying out the aCe from the beginning. However, I'm not too familiar with all of the characters and storylines, so I'm not sure exactly what I should order to get all of the information and all of the playing cards I will need to begin at 2119. I'm thinking of buying all three sets, and anything else that I might need at once. And I'd rather have the paper cards as opposed to the digital sets, so don't go trying to pimp CotGOnline on me, oh great gurus of the Online. You know who you are. What a time to decide to start from the beginning, huh? Anyway, any help on what I should and need to pickup would be great, and very much appreciated. Thanks!

Dude...I put off aCe for a couple years and kicked myself for not doing it sooner. I recently bought them late last year. IMO, it's one of THE best things COTGwise you can get. The writing is awesome, Osk breathes new life into some old characters and has killer new guys in it. It's like hardcore wrestling mixed with death metal music added in with zombies and other assorted freaks. You won't be disappointed...I wasn't.

From the old boards:
I was looking around for the old list...and couldn't find it, so I'll make a new one here.
See, there were existing GWF cards used for the 2119 edition. They're all included when you buy the set Online, but if you're buying paper cards and you don't have GWF sets 2110-2117, you may be missing some cards.
Here's the list:
Aegis 2117
Lance At-Las Special Edition
Rouser 2114
Ventross 2111
Warfare Special Edition 2117
Grovel 2110
Murdok 2117
Godsend 2115
Corperal Tek 2117
Cremator 2117
PainMaster 2117
I believe these can be ordered individually...you also can always just use the SE Ventross and Godsend instead of looking for these older ones. Same goes for the Aegis and Murdok SEs. It's a stretch, but Tekaro can be used in place of Corperal Tek for a year.
~ :-Xsk
ps - Thanks for the kind words, Avarice. Hyde if you decide to check it out, I'd love to see an aCe fed as awesome as your current POW fed!

Let me see if I can help you out here Hyde.
You'll need aCe sets 2119-2120 of course.
Also don't forget to pick up the Murdok/Godsend/Ventross/ Aegis SE cards. Especially if your not able to get their earlier cards for 2119 from the previous GWF sets. Even thouse they aren't officially introduced until 2120, you can use their SE's in place of their previous cards.
I'm not sure if aCe 2119 comes with all the required wrestlers that were introduced before it was release (in the GWF). I do recall that when I ordered the sets there was a packaged deal for 2119 and 2120 that included guys like Painmaster and Rouser, who were from earlier GWF editions.
You might wanna search the store to see if thats still available, if not, you might have to pick up some of the older GWF sets to get them. Which IMO is a big time bummer.
Hope this helps.

Osk beat me to the punch. That sucks to hear that the aCe package is no longer available. It's a real hassle (and more expensive) having to go back and purchase the past GWF sets to get all the required wrestlers for aCe 2119.

Come to think of it, I never did get Ventross' 2111 card. I did however get an extra copy of Lance At Las's SE card. I've been using Ventross' 2120 SE in 2119. Although I luckily went back and bought some of the Cosmic Battle sets so I could get Godsend and Murdok's older playing cards for use in 2119. hmmn Don't mind me, just upping my post count and thinking out loud.

With his 2111 card, Ventross actually won a tournament to become my first ever aCe Essence Champion.

Man, I asked that Online not be pushed on me, yet in this case it appears to be the way to go.
If I buy the digital sets, do I have to have a subscription to the gametable to use the cards. Or are they still viewable in a way that would facilitate playing with them, while using real dice. That doesn't sound like it would be feasible.
Just in case, how much do the individual cards run for? And can I specially order just certain cards from HQ? I think I might get all the SE's, so I'm wondering about the normal individual cards.
And Avarice, I really dig the description you gave me! And boy am I kicking myself for waiting this long. I've always been interested in the aCe, but there was such a long period of time where I didn't know if I was ever going to play CotG again, that buying the sets was never really a possibility.
As always, thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out here, it is GREATLY appreciated!

Hey, Avarice stole the Horror movies and Death metal line from me! Where is the credit old friend?! Anyway, on to your question. You'll have to ask the fine people at Fed HQ if you can buy the needed wrestlers seperately, but I'm fairly sure that an individual card runs $2. Also I think you'll have to get a subscription to online to view any wrestlers you buy digitally. Hope that helps.

ace 2119 and 2120 you can still get at the store and are on printed cards. You can ask HQ about the other cards you need. 2121 is available at a PDF download. You just order it and when Osk gets your order he will send you an email with a temp logon to COTGOnline so that you can download and print off the 2121 set. Or if you dont have the ability to print them yourself you can take the file to Kinkos, Staples, etc and they can do it also.
