I was never a fan of the original artwork for Galactic Punisher, but I really like this piece that Werner did. It amazes me sometimes how the right artwork can make me like a character more.

Love the art for Galactic Punisher! the background has a Blade Runner vibe going on and that's always a great thing. Funny enough I always had Punisher in the singles division until Justice (and the Galactic Cops!) came around.  |

Some of the artwork for this re-release have been awesome and breathe new life into this set. I love that this color set option has brought back the memories and fun that this game brought to us 30 years ago.

I looked at Galactic Punisher and immediately thought of Judge Dredd: "I am the law!".
I always liked Tom's Mad Jester limericks so here's mine...
There once was a man named Jester. Ha Ha!
Whose foes he would always pester. Ha Ha!
He's nobody's fool.
He'd take them to school.
He's as mad as Uncle Fester. Ha Ha!

I noticed over on the GWF fed forum Tom posted (a while back now) an old card from his earlier playing days. I hope he does the same for a classic 2089 card to really get us in the mood. Maybe we can use this thread to share same memories from our own 2089 playing time. Maybe a few bullet points to summarise the year. I’ll try and do mine soon but need to read over my records as my memory isn’t too good!

Amazonia's artwork looks good, (still love her original art though it's got a great charm to it). Looking forward to her chart on the back!
Such a great idea to give them charts/wrestling stats instead of a blank side (That never bothered me back then though).

It didn't start bothering me until Tom was selling SE manager cards with just art and a distrctor rating with a blank back. Then I felt like it was time to put something back there.
