That'll be an interesting start. I'm thinking about incorporating match ratings into contracts as well. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'm thinking about tracking the average of the last 10 match ratings for wrestlers and promotion. So if, for example, Jim Brunzell's contract is coming up, and he has an average of **, while the promotion is only a * average, then the promotion would take extra steps to keep him, since he's helping their ratings. I'm thinking of something like an extra dice roll per star and subtracting a dice roll per star if the wrestler's avg rating is less than the promotion's. What do you think?

That would be interesting. Also you could incorporate a sort of negotiating chart or something similar. Or a roll of the dice that indicates a negotiation. So Brunzell might be cool with taking less to continue to help the promotion. Or, maybe he plays the "you need me more than I need you" card, and he won't take a penny less. Would be a very interesting dynamic!

That's a great idea. I just threw this together, before rolling the percentile for signing, roll 2D6:
If the wrestler is rated higher than the promotion, add one to the roll for each star difference. If the wrestler is rated lower than the promotion, subtract one from the roll for each star difference.
2- Wrestler has no interest in signing- don’t bother rolling 3-4 Wrestler already has a better deal on the table- subtract 10 from two highest rolls 5-6 Wrestler feels he can get a better deal somewhere else- subtract 10 from highest roll 7 It’s just business. No adjustment 8-9 Wrestler really enjoys working here and doesn’t wish to leave- add 10 to two highest rolls 10-11 Wrestler is a big fish here, but not so much elsewhere (like a Lawler in Memphis) add 20 to highest roll 12 Wrestler is best friends with the promoter’s son. Add 20 to two lowest rolls

Nice chart! Maybe adjust it a bit though. I think that number 7 should have a bigger impact.

2- Wrestler has no interest in signing- don’t bother rolling 3-4 Wrestler already has a better deal on the table- subtract 10 from the overall total 5-6 Wrestler feels he can get a better deal somewhere else- subtract 10 from overall total unless you’re willing to give him a title shot. Then add 10 to overall total. 7 Wrestler really likes the fans here, but he wants to be guaranteed at least 3 title shots. Add 20 to lowest roll if you’ll grant the shots. Subtract 30 overall if not. 8-9 Wrestler really enjoys working here and doesn’t wish to leave- add 10 to overall total 10-11 Wrestler is a big fish here, but not so much elsewhere (like a Lawler in Memphis) add 20 to lowest roll 12 Wrestler is best friends with the promoter’s son. Add 20 to two lowest rolls
How does that look?

I really like that dynamic. But I meant that 7 (it's just business) should be a 6-7 or 7-8 roll, instead of a singular number. I do like that dynamic though. Instead of 3 guaranteed title shots, just one?

one probably makes more sense. 6-7 might make sense too. I'll have to play around with it.

FWA Card #1
From Minneola City Hall (Seats 200) Minneola, FL.
Attendance: 66
The four matches that will determine the four participants in the FWA Championship tournament will be a beat the clock challenge. The best time will lock down the number one seed. Two matches this event, and two matches next. Also, four teams will vie for the FWA Tag Team Titles over the course of the next few events in a round robin format.
Match #1 Beat the Clock Challenge: Tim Thatcher vs Masked Superstar: The Masked Superstar defeats Thatcher with a "SWINGING NECKBREAKER" at 8:52 **
Sam Houston vs Rock Riddle: Sam Houston nails Rock Riddle with a "BULLDOG" but Riddle gets a foot on the ropes. Houston goes right back and nails another "BULLDOG" but again Riddle gets a foot on the ropes. Some back and forth action, and Houston is disqualified for running a chair into Riddles head. 14:40 time of the match. **
"Wild" Bill White vs Jake "The Milkman" Milliman: "Wild" Bill locks in a "grinding chinlock" that put Milliman in trouble, but remained in the match. Milliman nails a "power slam" a short time later, hooks the leg, and gets the improbable three count! Match time of 5:44. **1/2
Pampero Firpo vs George South: South has Firpo in trouble, nailing him with a "knee drop". Firpo rolls to the outside, grabs South by the feet and drags him outside. Firpo bites South on the forehead, throws him back in the ring, and locks on "EL GARFIO" for the tap out victory at 2:54. *1/4
Dominic Garini vs Scott Casey: Garini would not go down easy but he did go down. "BULLDOG" by Casey but Garini got his foot on the ropes. Casey locked in a "sleeper" but Garini made the ropes to break it. A short time later, Casey nailed another "BULLDOG" for the vicory, although, Garini almost kicked out! 7:53 **
The New Zealenders vs Brunzell and Armstrong: At 30:36 Luke and Butch hit Bob Armstrong with a "BATTERING RAM" for the victory. This was the first match in the round robin format between four of the teams in FWA. Next card will feature a match between The Rock and Roll Express and The Russians (Volkoff and Zhukov). ***1/2
Match #2 Beat The Clock Challenge: Diamond Dallas Page vs Joe Blanchard: It's a back and forth match. Joe has control and lifts DDP up for an "airplane spin", DDP wiggles free and nails a "DIAMOND CUTTER" out of nowhere for the 3 count! 11:32 *1/2
Card Rating: 2.1 Stars
Promoters Note: Card 1 is in the books. Not a great attendance, which hurts the bottom line. But with a 200 person venue, even a sell out would mean we barely break even. We will need extra revenue streams going forward. I will be looking into streaming solutions and merchandising going forward.

FWA Card #2

Attendance: 130
No DQ: Rock Riddle vs Sam Houston: A rematch from the last card when Houston was disqualified for using a chair. Houston has control early and gets Rock in trouble but he can not put him away. Ray Stevens vs Steve Regal: Stevens has control from the beginning. He sends Regal out of the ring and then gets disqualified for not heeding the instructions from the ref to stop hitting Regal with a steel chair. Ray Stevens finally stops the assault and laughs on his way to the back. 2:44 DUD
Beat The Clock Challenge: Red Bastien vs Walter: The times to beat to be the #1 seed in the four man tourny to crown the first FWA Champion are 8:52 and 11:32. Bastien has the advantage but Walter makes a come back. A "POWERBOMB" from Walter gets a long 2 count. A second one finishes the job. Walter wins in 8:00 to grab the #1 seed at the moment. **
Johnny Saint vs Ron Hutchison: These two get into a wild brawl outside the ring and the ref calls for a double DQ! 5:48 DUD
The Rock and Roll Express vs The Russians (Nikolai Volkoff & Boris Zhukov): A back and forth match between the speedy R&R Express and more powerful Russians. Zhukov whips Gibson into the turnbuckle and charges, but Gibson moves and rolls him up for a 2 count. Gibson tags in Morton and "DOUBLE DROPKICK". Volkoff attempts the save but Gibson stops him and a 1-2-3 for the victory by the Express! 15:12 **1/2
Beat The Clock Challenge: DJZ vs Larry Zbyszko: The winner of this match needs to do it within 8:00 to grab the #1 seed. DJZ is all over the ring, using his great speed to his advantage. Zbyszko is able to grab a hold of the speedster and throw him out of the ring. Zbyszko drops DJZ with a "ddt", throws him back in the ring and nails the "PILEDRIVER" for the win. 7:48 *3/4
As Zbyszko is celebrating, Ray Stevens comes in the ring and grabs DJZ. He tosses him outside, removes the mat that surrounds the ring, and uses his "CRIPPLING PILEDRIVER" on the kid. DJZ is busted open and unconscious.
Larry Zbyszko was able to have the best time so he grabbed the #1 seed The next card will feature the semi-finals of the FWA Championship Tourny. Larry Zbyszko vs DDP Masked Superstar vs Walter
The Rock & Roll Express and New Zealenders are 1-0 in the four team round robin tourney for the FWA Tag Team Championships.
Card Rating: *1/2
Promoters note: Better attendance for this one. Not as good a show. Hopefully that does not negatively impact us.

After the last card, Ray Stevens released this statement: "FWA Management failed to include me in their tournament for the FWA Championship. That sin falls on the other wrestlers. You saw what I did to Steve Regal and DJZ. More will come."
