Tonight my Seattle Sounders on the road defeated LAFC, the best team in Major League Soccer, to advance to the MLS Cup for the 3rd time in 4 years.
LAFC had the best regular season in MLS History and the Sounders until tonight had never defeated LAFC (0-4 against them.) But tonight the Sounders won 3-1 to eliminate LAFC and win the Western Conference! After having Portland celebrate in the playoffs last year on Seattle's field, tonight's victory was really special.
The Sounders in the MLS Cup will play either Atlanta or Toronto (hopefully Toronto because then the MLS Cup is in Seattle with the Sounders hosting it for the first time ever.)
