I'm trying to print my first PDF (Gary Michael Capetta if you're curious) and when I flip on the long edge as the instructions say, it prints the back in the wrong place. It prints the front in the top left corner of the paper and the back in the top right corner of the other side. what am I doing wrong?

Only print the front. Then feed the paper in yourself and print the back.
Worse comes to worst, do what I did for about 200 cards before I bought my printer:
Print the front and back side on separate sheets of standard gloss paper, cut them out, then glue them to the cardstock. Wait a few minutes and cut them out, trim the slag.
I have some I still use that are nearly flawless

awffltony77 Thank you for your responses on all these threads. I really appreciate it. What printer do you use to make this work now?

Man I picked up a damn near free HP Wireless Inkjet at Walmart for $34. It was super simple to set up, then you just download the HP Smart app to any device. You can download and print stuff even when your not home.
I like the fact that it's a lower shelf model because I'd rather flip the paper myself. I've had it jam so many times in bigger ones that do it for you.

I think I figured it out. Doing it manually I've gotten a couple to work. Thanks for the advice!!
