My ex was a year older than me in 89. Her prom was on the same day as a rare NWA event coming to louisville (I would’ve rather gone to the wrestling card, lol). We had a hotel room in downtown Louisville. We park and who was getting out of their car and walking into the hotel? Rick Steiner and Steve Casey.
Steiner was big, but Casey was kind of a job guy at the time, but they were cool as hell. They were kinda shocked at how much of a NWA fan I was and Casey seemed to be surprised I knew all about his Texas stuff. Both kinda appreciated a 16 year old kinda knowing his stuff. My ex was kind annoyed, but eh, lol.

'Friday' Star Tommy 'Tiny' Lister Dead at 62 Though "Tiny" began landing his bullying bad guy roles in the '80s, he's most famous for his hilarious turn as Deebo in "Friday" and the sequel, "Next Friday." He also played President Lindberg in the sci-fi action film, "The Fifth Element," and more recently appeared in the box office smash hit, "The Dark Knight." He voiced the character Finnick in "Zootopia" as well. Along with acting, Tommy had 2 short pro wrestling stints, and starred alongside Hulk Hogan -- as the bad guy, Zeus, of course -- in the 1989 film, "No Holds Barred." Oh, and if ya didn't know, his nickname is pure irony ... "Tiny" was 6'5".

You see a difference in age and entertainment people like based on how they refer to him on social media today. Some call him Zeus and others Deebo.

RIP Zeus. No Holds Barred is one of my fave movies to just kick back and watch. I remember thinking he was really a wrestler.
Mark Taggart created a great card for Zeus. It's still on his site if anyone is interested.
