It is that time once again.
For those who have not had the opportunity to check out my annual event in the past, this is my legends tournament which I have ran at the beginning of each year since 2011. The tournaments were originally 64 competitors and but were dropped down to 32 competitors for couple of years when the colour legends sets were initially introduced. Once there were sufficient colour legends available, the field returned to 64 competitors. The top sixteen finishers from last year have be rewarded for their efforts with the top sixteen seeds for this year’s action. Last year’s winner Bobo Brazil is the top seed this year. The man he beat in the finals last year, Harley Race, is the second seed etc. etc. Given the recent expansion of colour competitor cards available, I have decided to reinstate the rule that the loser of the opening round matches will be barred from competing in the 2021 tournament. Those shocking opening round upsets will be even more critical this year with the loser not only going home but not being invited back next year. Further, only the final eight competitors this year, as apposed to the final sixteen, will be awarded seeded positions in 2021. All matches will be officiated by Morgan Dollar. Dr. Mike Lano will be covering the action from ringside as well.
As always, predictions and feedback are always appreciated.
Up First . . .

For me, Bobo Brazil has been one of the top performers in the history of my fed- a 2 time World Champion and a 2 time United States Champion- so I think he is an excellent selection as the #1 seed.
Looking forward to this annual tournament, one of the best fed results on the board year after year!

Wow. Time flies. It’s Legends Tournament time again!
Bobo Brazil has always done well for me as well and he should be an easy pick to come out of the first round. No upset here.

Bobo was my first champion from the first b/w set and both versions of his card were responsible for some classic feuds/rivalries: Bloody matches vs. The Sheik (including a Falls Count Anywhere), a recent Loser Leave Town match which capped a vicious feud vs Snuka, Great hard-hitting series with Brody, Doc, Volkoff or Bundy and finally dramatic title series vs Buddy Rogers, Dibiase, Valentine, Bockwinkel and Iron Sheik.
A true LOW Hall of Famer!

Bobo Brazil (1) v. Brian Christopher (64) Christopher is all over Morgan Dollar before Brazil is introduced and the official appear shaken. Christopher avoids a knee lift attempt but cannot lift Brazil for a slam in a fun spot that ends with a back elbow into a rebounding Christopher. Brazil shows he can move connecting with a flying dropkick. A trade of Irish whips results with a big kick to Christopher in the corner. Brazil attempts to slow it down with a head scissors but Christopher counters landing a standing leg drop before he climbs the corner. Brazil catches him and tosses Christopher to the mat. Tombstone piledriver and Christopher is heading outside. Brazil is out but Christopher shoves Dr. Mike Lano into his opponent to get the upper hand. Christopher connects off the top this time and then hits a HIP HOP DROP for a two count (R5/P2). DDT plants Brazil who is able to roll to the floor. Christopher confidently jaws with the fans as he stalks Brazil on the floor but Brazil reverses a whip and Christopher eats the post. Bear hug slows things down. Christopher falls to the floor. Brazil is outside and whips Christopher into the ring steps earning a warning from Morgan Dollar. Brazil dominates the action back in the ring. Christopher ducks a running lariat and hits a bulldog followed by a standing leg drop. Another bulldog and Christopher hooks the leg for two (R6/P3). Brazil eats a kick to the face but ducks away from a enzuigiri. Brazil connects in the corner with a kick and then hits a big hammer punch. Bobo body slam for a one count (R6/P2). COCO BUTT for a one count (R7/P3). Christopher counters a headscissors and lands a kick in the corner. Brazil rebounds off the ropes and they cross over until Christopher connects with a back elbow. Bulldog connects and Christopher drops Brazil with a back elbow. Kick in the corner and whip into another back elbow. Christopher sends Brazil into the ropes again but this time Brazil counters an attempted backdrop with a piledriver. Both men are down. Christopher ducks a standing running lariat and lands a standing legdrop. Brazil rebounds off the ropes and downs Christopher with a tackle. Bobo body slam and Christopher wisely takes a breather. Back in the ring a COCO BUTT downs Christopher for a two count (R6/P4). Brazil with a tombstone piledriver and big hammer punch. Christopher attempts to recover on the floor. He rolls back in and Brazil drops with a COCO BUTT. 1, 2, kick out (R7/P5). Brazil is stunned. Choke on the ropes but Christopher counters and lands a dropkick. Flying forearm smash leads to a bulldog. The fans can feel the upset unfolding. Brazil counters a slam and charges the corner but Christopher counters with a desperation clothesline. Cover… ONE COUNT ONLY (R11/P3). HIP HOP DROP… 1, 2, kick out (R7/P5). Kick to the face leads to a slap and dance which Brazil stops cold with a big hammer punch… OUT OF MY SEAT! Both men miss moves. Brazil into the ropes… double clothesline and they are down in a heap. Full nelson facebuster and Brazil bails. The brawl on the floor. Brazil tosses Christopher back into the ring. Whip to the corner and they collide after both going for a clothesline. Both are down again as Dollar counts. Christopher appears to regain his feet first but Brazil is ready with a COCO BUTT. 1, 2, 3 (R6/P6). Sorry joebreakdown . So close… It appears that many of the promoters out there have had a great deal of success with Brazil and he has performed very well in this tournament in the past. As walkswithwolf mentioned, there is a newcomer to this year’s event by the name of Vader who just happens to be in the same section of the bracket as Brazil. Hopefully both men last long enough to see that match take place. The next encounter will determine who Brazil will meet in the second round of the tournament. Up next… Leave your handbook of wrestling holds at home folks…. Jackie Fargo (32) v. Abdullah the Butcher (33)
