[glow=red,2,300]Event#4[/glow]
(Theme from “Six Million Dollar Man” and opening segment played on the stadium’s teletron)
“Good evening wrestling fans and once again welcome back to downtown Omaha, Nebraska’s Civic Auditorium! This is the announcer for the HWA Bill Mercer and the HWA crowned it's first ever National Tag Team champions on the last event! The Road Warriors earned the right to be called champions after they defeated the duo that they’ll face this evening in a rematch- Buff Bagwell and Chris Candido aka Vicious & Delicious! “Also, the LWA have informed the territories that the World Heavyweight Championship tournament soon and the National champion will be attending the World tournament and we have just been informed that the next episode will feature matches for the second participant from the HWA will be determined! Without hesitation, I send you to the squared circle and turn the play by play to Marc Lowrance…”
Tiger Mask vs. Ivan Koloff Ivan Koloff defeated Tiger Mask with a RUSSIAN BEAR HUG Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: Tiger Mask (1) used several high flying tactics to try and keep the Russian Bear on his heels. Sadly for the Japanese superstar, he missed a dive out of the ring only to hit the guard rails! Ivan Koloff (0) blasted his opponent with the famed chain that he carries to ringside and made the junior heavyweight submit with the RUSSIAN BEARHUG.
Don Leo Jonathan vs. Frank Gotch Don Leo Jonathan defeated Frank Gotch with a rolling back splash Match Rating: 3.00 Match Notes: Wow! A great match as Don Leo Jonathan (3) was victorious against the Iowan native! Gotch (3) couldn't seem to get moving as the "Mormon Madman" put a hurt on the aspiring champion! After Gotch missed a turnbuckle charge, Jonathan used a rolling back splash to end the bout.
Latino Connection vs. Team Xtreme Konnan defeated Justin Credible with a TEQUILA SUNRISE Match Rating:1.50 Match Notes: Team Xtreme is STILL looking for their first win as the only resistance they gave the Latino Connection was when Justin Credible (2) countered an octopus hold from Mil Mascaras (1) to garner only a one count. Mascaras later would tag out to Konnan and he would use his TEQUILA SUNRISE finisher to get the duke.
"As I have stated in the past shows, Credible really needs to quit using the bamboo cane and concentrate on wrestling if Team Xtreme ever wants to go anywhere in the Heartland Wrestling Alliance! We will talk to the newly crowned National Tag Team Champions after these commercial messages..."
[Insert commercial here]
Scenes flash on the teletron of Hawk and Animal aka Road Warriors brutalized their way through the National Championship Tag Team Tournament until the last scene being that of the champions pounding Vicious & Delicious and lifting Candido up to be sent screaming to the mat with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE! Three seconds later, the Chicago based powerhouses were the HWA National Tag champions!
Paul Ellering snarled at the camera as it panned to show the National Tag Team titleholders to the fans at home! " Ladies and gentlemen, before you are two of the most dominant teams ever in the history of wrestling! After we beat these two pencil neck geeks tonight (sure he meant Vicious & Delicious), the HWA Tag champs are venturing to the WCCW territory and pulverized those momma boys the Midnight Express to show that when you put that challenge out there for anyone to beat you...you better put the disclaimer of "Not applicable to the Road Warriors"!
Animal stepped up to the microphone and stated; "That's right Paul! These sissies tonight are going down in flames! And concerning the Midnight Express lead by that pansy Cornette...Cornette better keep his face out of the ring or I'll take that tennis racket and stick it up his..."
Hawk interrupted with..."AAaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, what a rush!"
Bob Orton Sr. vs. Antonio Inoki Antonio Inoki defeated Bob Orton Sr. with an ENZUIGIRI Match Rating: 2.00 Match Notes: The undercarder Orton Sr. (3) was this close {} from defeating Antonio Inoki (1). The Asian star regained his composure; and after a bow and arrow maneuver, Inoki used three straight ENZUIGIRIS for the three count.
Justin Liger vs. Rikidozan Rikidozan defeated Justin Liger with a BOSTON CRAB Match Rating: 0.50 Match Notes: A rather uneventful bout as Rikidozan (0) simply blasted the masked high flyer! After a scoop slam and a falling elbow combo that nearly Jushin Liger's (1) shoulders down, Rikidozan clamped on a Boston Crab to force his opponent to tap out.
Somoan Island Tribe vs. The Vachons Samu defeated Butcher Vachon with a DIVING HEADBUTTS Match Rating:0.50 Match Notes: Pathetic! Samu (0) slapped around Butcher Vachon (1) without even breaking a sweat! The Somoan landed two DIVING HEADBUTTS on Butcher and Alofa prevented the pin save attempted by Mad Dog Vachon for Danny Manning to slap the mat three times
" The first ever cross match with WCCW and the HWA Tag Champs sounds like it is going to be a fan favorite! I feel sorry for Cornette's Midnight Express as I would never want to stand inside the ring opposite of the Warriors! We'll be right back after these quick messages from our sponsors..."
[Insert commercial here]
]Giant Baba vs. Jim Londos Jim Londos defeated Giant Baba with a backslide Match Rating:1.00 Match Notes: These two superstars clashed in the HWA before with the victor gaining the upset. This match would not be different as Giant Baba (0) thumped Jim Londos (2) pretty soundly and the Greek was on the receiving end the entirety except for one move! The Giant went for the NECKBREAKER DROP finisher but Lindos countered with a backslide to get the upset pinfall!
[glow=red,2,300]- #1 Contender's match -[/glow] George Hackenschmidt vs. Bobo Brazil Bobo Brazil defeated George Hackenschmidt with a COCO BUTTS Match Rating: 3.50 Match Notes: This bout was announced by the HWA Commissioner Vince Russo to be a #1 contenders match after Frank Gotch lost his match earlier in the card. Both combatants were pumped and down right thrilled to possibly be given a shot at the National Championship!
Bobo Brazil (0) obviously wanted this title shot more as George Hackensmidt (7) as the Michigan native used a backbreaker that opened the bout into a route! The Estorian Hammer winced every time he moved his back and attempted to battle back but after six consecutive COCO BUTTS from Bobo was too much for the Greek legend.
[glow=red,2,300]-National Tag Team Championship Rematch-[/glow] Road Warriors vs. Vicious & Delicious for the [glow=red,2,300]National Tag Team Championship[/glow] Animal defeated Buff Bagwell with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE Match Rating 1.00 Match Notes: The rematch was not nearly as spectacular as the finals of the National Tag Championship Tournament. Danny Manning informed everyone outside of the squared circle (meaning, the two divas and Paul Ellering) that he would cancel the match if they did not leave ringside immediately. After a few moments of arguing their case, everyone that wasn't directly involved officially in the match was in the backstage area. The Road Warriors pulverized the challengers! Buff Bagwell (1) ticked Hawk (1) off after bashing him with a steel chair across the back! Hawk retaliated with pummeling Bagwell with his powerful forearms and tagged out to the Animal for a double clothesline! After Animal failed to pin Buff with a POWER SLAM, hi signaled and the champions dropped the challengers like a bad habit with the DOOMSDAY DEVICE to retain the National Tag Team titles!
“ Unfortunately fans, this show is about to come to a close as that is all the time that we have for this evening! Join us next time as the match up between the HWA's representatives (Road Warriors) will square off against the WCCW's Midnight Express will be broadcasted in it's entirety, the second HWA superstar to represent the territory in the LWA World Tournament, and we’ll have more exciting action in the squared circle including the National Championship title match between Johnny Valentine and the newly determined #1 contender. This is Bill Mercer signing off…thank you and we’ll see you next time.”

Thanks guys! Here is the follow up card...
[glow=red,2,300]Event#5[/glow]
(Theme from “Six Million Dollar Man” and opening segment played on the stadium’s teletron)
“Hello once again sports fans and welcome to this special broadcast of the Heartland Wrestling Alliance! If the arena in the background doesn't seem familiar, there is a reason for this and the HWA is broadcasting from the Qwest Center in downtown Omaha, Nebraska rather than the Civic Auditorium for this special event. This is the voice of the Midwest Bill Mercer and I promise that this will be a night to remember!"
"Let's head toward the squared circle and turn over the microphone to our ringside announcer Marc Lowrance for the opening contest!"
Best of Three Matches: Jim Londos (0) defeated Giant Baba (5): The HWA Commissioner (Vince Russo) stated that these two have petitioned to decide once for all who the best man is. Speaking of course that both combatants have won a match against the other in the two matches they've spared already. Russo added the stipulations that this match will be the best of three falls and the winner will fill the final spot of the sixteen man battle royal later in the card! Jim Londos went quickly to work on Giant Baba and his strategy was obvious. Londos worked on the Giant's legs and used several ground based attacks that limited the mobility of the Asian legend! After Baba could hardly walk, Londos used his AIRPLANE SPIN maneuver to garner the first fall. Only a few moments later, Baba was still incapacitated and Londos applied another AIRPLANE SPIN for Rick Hazard (the ref) to raise his hand in victory! (** ½)
The Vachons (Mad Dog (1)/Butcher) blasted Team Xtreme (Justin Credible (1)/Danny Doring): These two teams have met before on the third broadcast of the HWA's events and the result was exactly the same! The hardcore wrestling styles of Doring & Credible are actually causing them more grief than good as Mad Dog Vachon simply outwrestled Credible! Mad Dog countered a neck breaker with and school boy roll up and had Rick Hazard smack the mat for three after Credible received the PILEDRIVER finisher.(*)
[glow=red,2,300]National Heavyweight Championship Titlematch:[/glow]Bobo Brazil (2) won against Johnny Valentine (7): A fantastic bout! Johnny Valentine was on the receiving end for most of the match but held his own despite having the flu (which he made public after he lost the match of course! Bobo Brazil simply outclassed the much hated Valentine and seemed to counter everything that the now former champion threw at him! After twenty five minutes, Bobo Brazil used COCO BUTT to put Valentine's shoulders down for the count. David Manning handed the new champion the National title and the arena fans roared in approval!
"I am sure that Johnny Valentine will get a rematch after the LWA Tournament later in the week. However, the Tournament will no longer have Johnny Valentine as a representative for the tournament since the former champion complained after the match about having the flu! Vince Russo informed the arena that since he is "ill" than the spot will be filled by the new National champion-Bobo Brazil! (The Qwest Center became almost deafening as the HWA fans cheered) With that announcement, we will return after these messages for the battle royal to determine the second representative at the LWA event and the much anticipated Road Warriors/ Midnight Express broadcast from the WCCW closed circuit event."
[Fill in promo for LWA Territory’s supercard]
16 Man Battle Royal: It was announced during the last event that the winner of this event would become the second representative in the LWA World Championship tournament! Earlier in this special event, Jim Londos defeated Giant Baba two falls to none to qualify as the sixteenth man in the battle royal.- Immediately Jim (5) made an impact in the match as he tossed Hackensmidt (3) within the opening minutes….Bob Orton Sr.(2) to no one’s surprise was eliminated by Buff Bagwell (4) around the seven minute mark…the legendary Tiger Mask (4) hopes of becoming the next LWA World champion was put on the back burner by Frank Gotch (2) at the thirteen minute mark…Konnan (4) used a 187 to flip Samu (1) out of the ring shortly after Tiger Mask…the second Samoan (Alofa (1)) was out seconds later by Chris Candido…Justin Liger (9) was too worn out at the twenty minute mark to put to much of a fight before getting eliminated by the “Mormon Madman” Jonathan (3)…Antonio Inoki (4) was the recipient of a flying dropkick by Mil Mascaras (3) to send him out onto the arena floor at the twenty two minute mark…Chris Candido was tossed only moments later by another Asian superstar- Rikidozen (1)…Ivan Koloff (4) blindsided Buff Bagwell with that steel chain to send the arrogant youngster out! While Buff was arguing with the Russian Bear, Frank Gotch lifted the Russian up and out of the ring at the twenty six minute point…Rikidozen improved his chances of winning by placing Jim Londos onto the concrete…Don Leo Jonathan was exhausted and flung easily over the ropes by Mil Mascaras at the thirty two minute mark after a SURFBOARD SUBMISSION…Rikidozan was attempting to lift up Konnan but was himself bounced out by Frank Gotch…Konnan returned the favor by quickly eliminating the Iowa native-Frank Gotch…the final two combatants were the tag team of Latino Connection and these two put on a wrestling clinic until the forty six minute point when Konnan missed a turnbuckle charge and his momentum flipped him out of the squared circle! He reentered the ring and shook the hand off the “Man of A Thousand Masks” before letting his partner bathe in the glory (****). - SPECIAL TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH - Road Warrior (Hawk/Animal) won against Midnight Express:. HOLY COW! This match up could ONLY be considered the MATCH OF THE YEAR! If it doesn't win it's a tragedy! In the early goings of the match, the Midnight Express dominated! THE Road Warriors looked like they'd fall to the champs. Ellering got involved but then was knocked out. The Express were moments from winning. The tide turned though midway through the match when the action spilled outside the ring. A wild brawl erupted and the referee actually disqualified Stan lane for slamming Animal into the ring post at ringside. Commissioner Patrick ran down to ringside and grabbed the mic and announced that he was not going to let the Express get away with keeping their titles BY DQ, so he ordered the match to continue with NO DQ/NO COUTNOUT rules! This seemed to give the Road Warriors their second wind. The Warriors hit the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Stan Lane and were about to get the pin when Cornette ran into the ring. He received a clothesline for his trouble and was thrown out of the ring into the waiting arms of "Beautiful" Bobby! Animal picked up Lane, gave him a tremendous POWER SLAM for good measure and that was all she wrote! Heartland Wrestling National Tag Champs had defeated The Midnight Express and because of that, they are no longer WCCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. In fact, Commissioner Patrick took the tag belts with him from ringside! The crowd was electric for this match!
Editor's Note: This match was reprinted from toasterboy's fed results with permission.
"That about does it for this special event folks! Stay tuned for the next broadcast of the Heartland Wrestling Alliance coming shortly after the LWA territory Pay-Per-View event. This is the voice of the Midwest signing off...thank you and good night!"
(Theme from "Six Million Dollar Man" and closing segment played on the stadium's teletron)
Rankings: 1. Johnny Valentine (148 pts) 1. Road Warriors (142.5) 2. Bobo Brazil (134.25 pts) 2. Samoan Island Tribe (109.5) 3. Mil Mascaras (132.5 pts) 3. The Vachons (106) 4. [glow=red,2,300]Event#6[/glow]
(Theme from “Six Million Dollar Man” and opening segment played on the stadium’s teletron)
"Welcome to the Civic Auditorium in downtown Omaha, NE as the Heartland Wrestling Alliance returns to it's home territory! This is Bill Mercer, the voice of the Midwest and fans we are about to hit a turning point for the LWA territories- not only abroad but in the HWA's home territory as well. What am I babbling about? We will go into more detail as the night progresses; but for the moment, let's head to ringside and turn the microphone over to Marc Lowrance for our first match!”
Justin “Thunder” Liger (2) pinned Jim Londos (5): Liger simply outwrestled Londos! A flying body press, a topa suicida from the ring apron, and he even countered Londos's airplane spin with a school boy roll up. Liger proved to be too much for Londos and was pinned after a small package garnered the three count. (*** ½).
Ivan Koloff (0) bloodied Giant Baba (3): The Russian cheated every chance that he could get it past Bronco Lubich (the ref) and used the ropes to choke the giant. Koloff caused a nasty gash in Baba's forehead with the steel chain that caused the Asian superstar to bleed severely. Koloff clamped on the RUSSIAN BEARHUG and placed Baba on his back and climbed to the top of the turnbuckle before landing a flying knee drop. (* ½).
“The Tale of the Tape is a new segway to update the followers of the federation on the events or happenings of the LWA that have an impact on the superstars of the HWA.
First of all, Bob Orton Sr. is nursing a sprained ankle after landing on it weird after the battle royal on the last televised card. His status is listed as day to day by the federation's physicians. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Secondly, Mil Mascaras faced off against 'Magnificent' Muraco (representing the CCW) in the first round of the LWA World Tournament and was disqualified after getting fed up with Sir Oliver Humperdink's constant interference. Mil Mascaras has challenged Muraco to another match to prove that Muraco doesn't have enough talent to beat him without assistance from his manager.
Next news tidbit is the shocking break up of Team Xtreme aka Justin Credible and Danny Doring! After the last televised event, credible attacked Doring from behind with his Singapore cane and brutalized his former partner until arena security managed to pull the hardcore wrestler off his unsuspecting victim. In a later interview, Credible stated that he was tired being teamed with a loser and want to go his own way. A match has been scheduled between the two former partners later in this telecast.
Finally, the HWA is proud to announce that the Samoan Island Tribe will be touring at least two of the other territories for several weeks. The Samoans will be departing for the EWF shortly and a few weeks later will have a stop in the CCW. We wish the underachieving Samoans well and we are hoping the Island Tribe doesn't get injured against the HWA National Tag Champions later on this card.[/i]
[Insert commercial here]
The Eastern Dynasty (Rikidozan (2)/Tiger Mask) was victorious against Latino Connection (Mil Mascaras (4)/ Konnan): The duo of Rikidozan & Tiger Mask officially announced their team name moments from the opening of the card and they are hoping to gain a titles hot from the NWA National Tag Team Champions soon. However they first face and defeat a very talented and unpredictable pairing of Konnan and Mil Mascaras aka Latino Connection. No problem…Rikidozen used several high impact moves that Konnan was having issues with! Konnan ducked a clothesline, managed a hot tag to Mil Mascaras, and the ‘man of a thousand masks’ did not fair any better. After a Boston crab, a HIPLOCK, and a THUNDEROUS CHOP Mil Mascaras succumbed for the Dynasty to secure the pinfall. (***).
Danny Doring easily downed Justin Credible (4): Doring asked for this match after Credible attacked him from behind at the end of the last televised event with the Singapore cane. Danny annihilated Credible and was restrained by the referee on several occasions. Doring easily put away his previous assailant with DANACONDA and on his way back to the locker room made a notion that he wiped his hands clean of Justin Credible. (**).
Frank Gotch made Don Leo Jonathan (1) tap out: Gotch gained a little payback from the last telecast as he used a series of punches to disoriented the “Mormon Madman” and the number one LWA draft pick used a guillotine choke as a set up maneuver for the GOTCH TOEHOLD! Jonathan attempted to get to the ropes but the pain became too intense for the Mormon and he finally submitted to the Iowan native for a much needed win. (1/2 *).
The camera panned to the rather irate National Tag champions and Paul Ellering gave the snarl he has become known for in the HWA. “Ladies and gentlemen, I want to tell you a tale that will span the ages as the biggest travesty that man has ever told. My men had those sissy little pretty boys beaten to an edge of their lives but that momma’s boy interfered! Yes Cornette I am talking to you and you alone kept your team from total disgrace at the LWA’s first supercard. Well…my men went to the WCCW and to the EWF home turf and crushed the Midnight Express and now momma’s boy is challenged to meet here in the HWA in a Steel Cage. In order for us to get our revenge, we have a plan…”
Animal stepped up to the microphone and barked; "That's right Paul! Cornette wants to constantly stick his nose where it belongs and always hides behind the referees or momma’s skirt! The Road Warriors will put up the HWA National Tag Team straps to face us in a steel cage! However, Cornette will be hand cuffed to Ellering the entirety of the match and ‘Precious’ Paul will insure you don’t stick your nose in the match or he will kick you’re a…”
Hawk interrupted with..."AAaaaaahhhhhhhhhh, what a rush!"
Vicious & Delirious (Buff Bagwell (2)/Chris Candido) won against The Vachons (Butcher Vachon (1)/Mad Dog Vachon): The Vachons began the match great but as the match progressed, the team that many HWA fans believe is the only team able to defeat the National Tag champions used their youth to their advantage. Butcher smashed Buff with a steel chair, the Vachons went for a double clothesline but Bagwell countered with a flying body press that sent Mad Dog over the top rope! After Butcher regained his senses, buff landed a dropkick that toppled the Algerian! Sherri screamed at Buff to end it and that’s exactly what he did with the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER! (* ½).
“The quartet of Vicious & Delicious as even the Road Warriors know are a force to be reckoned with as the talent inside the squared circle has two very beautiful and vindictive women on the ring floor to keep their protégé’s opponents (and mostly the referees) distracted. With that being said, we’ll be back in a few moments after a quick commercial break.”
[Insert commercial here]
George Hackensmidt (1) defeated Antonio Inoki (3) (by count-out): This match was actually a good one as both combatants attempted to out do the other. Unfortunately after a back body drop by Hackensmidt, Inoki was flung over the top rope and would have made the count if it hadn’t been for a rather large fan taunting the Japanese legend. Inoki tried to just ignore the fan and get back into the squared circle but the large fan ended up being the EWF’s own KING KONG BUNDY!!! Bundy jumped the guard rail and flattened the Japanese superstar with a running shoulder block and used the AVALANCHE on Inoki! The referee called for the bell again and asked security to come to ringside to restrain Bundy. Hackensmidt shook his head and left unmolested to the backstage area. (**).
Road Warriors (Animal (1)/Hawk) destroyed Samoan Island Tribe (Alofa/Samu (3)): The Road Warriors easily pummeled the challengers and sent the Samoans to tour the territories with a severe beat down! The only offense that the Samoans employed was a school boy roll up after Animal’s POWERSLAM was countered by Samu but that was the extent of it! After Animal quickly regained control of the match, he lifted Samu onto his shoulders and tagged out to Hawk for the feared DOOMSDAY DEVICE for the win! Now, the question is whether or not the WCCW’s Midnight Express will accept their earlier challenge. (**).
Bobo Brazil (3) retained against Johnny Valentine (3): Valentine had told Brazil that he lost the first bout these two legends had because he was feeling under the weather! This cost Valentine dearly as he relinquished his spot at the LWA tournament to Bob Brazil (who defeated Missing Link in the first round and lost to the eventual World Champion Rick Rude in the second round) and obviously Johnny was out of excuses because he submitted near the ten minute mark to a bear hug after a spectacular match! Bobo Brazil held the title up in the air to the delight of the fans and the former champion slinked speechless back to the locker room. (***).
“Well wrestling fans, that about does it this time around! Stay tuned for the next broadcast of the Heartland Wrestling Alliance next time as Antonio Inoki will face the EWF’s King Kong Bundy and several other great matches. This is the voice of the Midwest signing off…thank you and have a fantastic night!”

Great card...glad Doring got a beatdown but disappointed he won the match afterwards....guess Credible either sucks worse or as bad as Doring... The Midnights will get destroyed by the Road Warriors...thats a given. And as for Gotch...he is a BEAST.

[glow=red,2,300]Event#7[/glow]
{Theme from "Six Million Dollar Man" and the blatant attack on Antonio Inoki by the EWF's superstar King Kong Bundy played on the stadium's teletron.}
"That was the heinous and vicious attack by King Kong Bundy on one of the HWA's premier legends! Tonight Inoki will get a chance to gain a little payback at the EWF big man himself on tonight's event!
Welcome to downtown Omaha, Nebraska and the Heartland's home arena- the world renowned Omaha Civic Auditorium! This is Bill Mercer the voice of the Midwest and ladies and gentlemen we have a fabulous card this evening! We will head down to ringside and turn the microphone over to Marc Lowrance for our first bout."
Jim Londos easily put away Bob Orton Sr. (1): Londos quickly tossed Orton into the turnbuckle and leveled the legend with a running clothesline. Londos locked on the BOSTON CRAB but Orton Sr. managed to reach the ropes to break the hold and the Greek native quickly spun Orton around with the AIRPLANE SPIN maneuver for the win. (½ *).
Giant Baba (4) squeaked by Justin Credible (3):[/b][/u] After both participants suffered a loss on the last telecast, they put on a fantastic bout that Credible was only inches away from putting a mark in the win column! Unfortunately for the hardcore legend, Baba was the luckier one this time around and would catch Credible in a NECKBREAKER DROP for the duke. (*** ½).
George Hackenschmidt (2) forced Jushin Liger (3) to submit:These two battle back and forth for nearly ten minutes with Liger getting the worst of the match. However, Liger made it a match after he countered a wristlock suplex with a school boy roll up that nearly garnished him the win. After a resounding single arm pickup and slam, Hackenschmidt made the junior heavyweight pass out with a RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. (** ½).
Latino Connection (Konnan/Mil Mascaras) stunned Vicious & Delicious (Buff Bagwell (2)/ Chris Candido) (w/ Sherri Martel and Sunny): The “Man of a Thousand Masks” used his quickness to his advantage against the muscle bound Bagwell but every time the Connection would gain the advantage the divas would interfere. Finally Danny Manning (the referee) had enough and had security take the distractions into the backstage area. This put Vicious & Delicious in a predicament and Mil Mascaras would catch Bagwell in a CROSSBODY ATTACK to secure the victory. (*).
Several things have happened since our last broadcast wrestling fans! That will be the focus of our second installment of "The Tale of The Tape".
First off, the HWA National Tag Team Champions last broadcast issued a challenge for Jim Cornette's Midnight Express to come to the Heartland and face the Road Warriors in a Steel Cage match! Paul Ellering stated before the card that the lily livered mamma's boys didn't give anyone their answer and the Warriors will hit the road to look for those yellow paper WCCW Tag chumps! The National Tag Champions have been warned by officials not to take matters in their own hands or face the consequences of those actions!
Next up is Sir Oliver Humperdink is considering Mil Mascaras's challenge to face Muraco without Humperdink at ringside. The HWA officials will keep everyone posted when a official statement is issued by the CCW.
Speaking of the CCW, the Killer Bees will be present for several weeks starting at Event #10! This is exciting news and these two superstars will fill in the void left in the tag rankings with the Samoan Island tribe touring both the EWF and CCW! We can't wait until they arrive...
Last but not least, on the next broadcast, a Fatal Four Way will be held between the four tag teams to determine the #1 contenders for the National tag Team titles! The winners of this match will face off against the Road Warriors on the Event #9 broadcast.”
[Insert commercial here][/b]
Don Leo Jonathan (3) defeated Danny Doring (1): This was a surprisingly good match! Doring recently separated from his former Team Xtreme partner and gained a little revenge last week against Justin credible. Doring controlled the match for the most part and even hit two consecutive DANACONDAS before leaping to the top of the turnbuckle! Doring played up to the fans and Johnathan took advantage of Doring’s lack of concentration with a suplerplex onto the fan favorite! As the fans cheered, Jonathan applied the MORMON SWING to have the ref slap the mat three times. (**).
Frank Gotch (2) stunned Johnny Valentine (4): Holy cow! This match was awesome as the first ever HWA National Champion met the LWA’s #1 draft pick in a match with future consequences. Gotch showed Valentine the exact reason why he is the golden child of the Heartland Wrestling Alliance and really took it to the former champ. On the other hand, Valentine showed why he was champion and took everything that Gotch could dish out to him. The end came after Gotch countered a reverse chin lock and sent his opponent though the air with an Iowan backdrop. Gotch quickly went for the proverbial artery and locked on the GOTCH TOEHOLD that had Valentine quickly tapping out. (***).
Antonio Inoki lucked out against King Kong Bundy (by DQ): This match never even really got going as only moments into the bout Inoki tossed the EWF visitor into the turnbuckle and attempted a running corner splash but Bundy pulled the ref in front of him to take the brunt of the blow! Inoki tried to help the referee recover but Bundy would use a cheap shot to the groin and then would put all his weight down on the Japanese superstar several times with the AVALANCHE! Finally, the National Champion ran to the squared circle in aide of his friend and Bundy scampered out of the ring to the locker room taunting Brazil with Bundy has something planned for the HWA Champion! (dud).
The Vachons (Butcher/Mad Dog) upset The Eastern Dynasty (Rikidozen (2)/ Tiger Mask): The Algerians came out with both guns blazing as they seemed to gel as a team and gave the Eastern Dynasty a serious case of body aches! The final straw came after Butcher Vachon tagged out to Mad Dog Vachon and the two performed the illegal abdominal stretch with Mad Dog holding Butcher’s hand for leverage! The ref finally wised up and had Mad Dog enter the ring and after a bite to the forehead, Mad Dog Vachon used a airplane spin and double foot stomp to beat the newly formed team. ( *).
Bobo Brazil (3) pinned Ivan Koloff (4): The HWA champion had a rough time with “The Russian Bear” as not only did Bobo have to deal with the challenger but King Kong Bundy’s ramblings up in the booth! Toward the end of the match, Bundy stormed the ringside area and pulled the referee out of the mat to save Koloff from a COCO BUTT that could’ve ended the match. While manning was bickering with Bundy, the Russian blasted the champion with the stainless steel chain! Koloff thinking he had the champion right where he wanted him, tapped the ref and told him to start the three count! Sadly for Koloff, Brazil had crawled behind the challenger and rolled him up in a small package for the three count. Afterwards, Bobo told the EWF mainstay that he will take on whomever Bundy has in store for him. (*** ½).
