I went to NXT with my friend Alex at The Palms casino in Las Vegas tonight.
some match results:
Angel Garza defeated Austin Theory
A really good opening match. I think Austin Theory has all the talent to become a huge star in the WWE.
Tegan Nox/Candice LeRae defeated Jessi Kamea/Dakota Kai
Really good to see Candice LeRae wrestle live again! Neither me or my friend Alex knew who Jessi Kamea was, not surprised she took the pinfall.
Damian Priest defeated Babatunde
despite the former Punishment Martinez actually looking small compared to Babatunde, Priest is definitely the better wrestler of the two- glad to see him win this match!
North American Champion Keith Lee defeated Cameron Grimes
a really good match between two former PWG regulars!
Jordan Devlin defeated KUSHIDA to retain the NXT cruiserweight championship.
Some idiots yelled "boring" during this match- reminds of the time when some idiots here yelled "boring" during an FSW main event of Killer Kross vs Timothy Thatcher (the two latest WWE signings) - perhaps they are the same idiots?
Rhea Ripley defeated Bianca Belair to retain the NXT women’s championship
despite an obvious conclusion, a really good match
Pete Dunne/Matt Riddle/Johnny Gargano/Tommaso Ciampa defeated the Undisputed Era
Afterward, Matt Riddle said it was great to be back in Las Vegas- he used to live here- and that 12 years ago he wrestled his first UFC match in the exact same venue- The Palms. Riddle also vowed he will be the one to retire Brock Lesnar.
A really good show for only a little over $30. This was my first time seeing a show in The Palms. I have now seen a show in all of the following Las Vegas casinos: obviously Sam's Town (my personal local version of MSG,) MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Palms, The Orleans, Gold Coast, Silverton, The Plaza, and Silver Nugget.
This was Show #7 of 2020 for me. On average, for every 50 some Indy shows I attend, I also will attend a WWE show. Show #8 will be tomorrow when I return to Sam's Town for this weekend's Impact tapings. I heard Imapct drew well tonight too here in Las Vegas- glad to hear that news for them!.
