Great show. Looking forward to seeing where the R&R Express angle is going. Thank you! I'm so glad you liked the show! Up next is Last Stand in Oklahoma City, the final card of 2090, and the final card in OKC (hence the name). I think there will be some angles resolved at that show. Of course, some new ones might start, too... Thank you for reading along. I really appreciate it.

Pro Wrestling Cybercast
Hello, folks! I'm Ian Scott and welcome to another edition of PWC - the Pro Wrestling Cybercast. A lot of great action is coming up this long holiday weekend, but today. we're going to shift our focus to the weirdest promotion this reporter has ever seen.
While hardly comparing to the multi-billion dollar companies touring the Kuiper and Jovian colonies like the WEW or GWF, the CWA (a small, earth-based fed) has been making waves. Tiny waves. Ripples, actually. But they're notable because they are not using current stars like Star Warrior, Lord Nexus, Hyperion, or the Silverstars, but wrestlers from the distant past using holographic technologies the likes of which are confounding cutting edge Technological companies like LHI. They started small, got even smaller, but have suddenly begun to explode on the Colonial Cyberlink, with views increasing like 50 percent in the last month alone.
Anyway, that's enough with the boring stuff. They are holding a supercard...well, a mini supercard. Let's call it a supercard. Anyway, they have a spotlight show coming on December 24th at the Oklahoma State Fair Arena (State Fairs? Is that still even a thing?) , and it's time we took a look at them and the action they'll be providing at the Last Stand In Oklahoma City!
THE MAIN EVENT: World (Seriously?) Heavyweight Championship: "Handsome" Harley Race (ch) vs. The Iron Sheik
Looking at the CWA Rankings, I guess this match is a no-brainer. Until last month, Sheiky Baby was the #2 Contender to the World Title (The #1 position is reserved for the Holovision Champion - more on that in a bit) for...like...ever, but title shots have gone mostly to babyfaces instead of heels. But of the other Top Five contenders (I don't know why they have a Top Five instead of a Top Ten like everyone else, but whatevs), Lou Thesz and The Crusher are out on IR, and Curt Hennig (the great, great, so many greats grandfather of NGW star Nolan Hennig) is involved in a tag match (more on that in a bit, too). So the nod was given to the Iron Sheik, currently #5 in the rankings, but still a top contender. Still, I never bet against a reigning champ. Prediction: Harley Race to retain
OBLIGATORY GRUDGE MATCH #1: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (Oklahoma City Street Fight)
I wish I was a Million Dollar Man. I'm more of a Dozen Dollar Man. Anyway, these two have been beefing for a while over...I'm not sure what, exactly. But they split a match series, with DiBiase going over in their last encounter, a steel cage match, against an injured (How the heck does a hologram get injured, anyway?) Danielson. But now, the American Dragon is all healed up and ready to fight DiBiase all over the streets of OKC. This will probably be a great match and steal the show, but as a student of wrestling history, there's no way I'm betting against the American Dragon. Prediction: Bryan Danielson to win
OBLIGATORY GRUDGE MATCH #2: Curt Hennig & Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat vs. "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Meng
There are some real bad feelings (Can a hologram have feelings?) going into this match. Hennig used to be a member of the Heenan Family (Oh yeah - Rude and Meng are managed by Bobby "the Brain" Heenan), but quit/was fired a few months back. Since then, he has made it his personal mission to piss in his former tag team partner Rick Rude's breakfast cereal. While Hennig was on a roll, Heenan brought in Meng, who they have built up as a real monster. Meng has beaten up both Hennig and Steamboat in recent months, and while I'd love to go with the feel good story, I don't think they're ready to hand Meng a genuine loss. Prediction: Meng & Rick Rude to win
TAG TEAM TURMOIL: World (Again, Seriously?) Tag Team Championship Match: The Road Warriors (ch) vs. The Midnight Express
Look, anyone who's a fan of wrestling has heard of the Midnight Express. And pretty much everyone knows who the Road Warriors are since that biopic about them was released back in 2068 (Twenty-two years ago? Man, I'm old) and you can still see it from time to time on the Classic Movie Feed on the Cyberlink. The Express has a lot on their side: manager Jim Cornette and bodyguard Big Bubba Rogers, which should nullify "Precious" Paul Ellering on the other side. But still...c'mon. This is the Road Warriors. Prediction: The Road Warriors to retain
WTF? Match: Holovision Championship Match: Gorgeous George (ch) vs. Hillbilly Jim
This match makes me scratch my head. Gorgeous George is currently in a program with the Crusher (out injured), Lou Thesz (out injured), and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who just stole George's girlfriend. I don't know why they gave this match to Jim, who's like 2-12-0 in his previous matches. (He did wrestle to a four-star draw with Tully Blanchard recently, but still) IDFK. But my predictions so far have been fairly heel-heavy, so I'm going to go with the upset. Prediction: Hillbilly Jim to win the title
Awesome Bonus: Piper's Pit (woot!) featuring the Rock & Roll Express
The Rock & Roll Express are in a feud with Tag Team Champs the Road Warriors, who injured Ricky Morton. While he was out, Robert Gibson was teaming with Total Scumbag™ "Rocker" Marty Jannetty. At the last show, Morton made his triumphant return and said something to Gibson which made him turn on Jannetty and beat him senseless. It's a heel act, I know, but Total Scumbag™ Jannetty is so hated that the fans went ape shit for the "turn." Maybe Roddy Piper (woot!) can get to the bottom of it. Prediction: funky chaotic fun
So there you have it. The sold out (!) Last Stand in Oklahoma City airs live at 7 pm Colonial Standard Time this Sunday, with Cyberlink start times staggered throughout the day, as is usual for these types of events. I don't know about you, but I'm sold. Who else is watching? This has been the Pro Wrestling Cybercast, and I'm out!

"Can a Hologram Have Feelings?" sounds like an unreleased Philip K. Dick sci-fi novel. LOL.
Stoked for the show.

I don't know about you, but I'm sold. Who else is watching? This has been the Pro Wrestling Cybercast, and I'm out! Fun preview. My predictions: George over HBJ. Jim may get a 3 star match out of George (who should be in jail btw), but he'll fall to the SPINNING TOE HOLD after George smashes his ankle with a chair or some other diabolical sh!+. LOD over MX. Hawk & Animal will destroy their opponent's and despite Corny & Bubba;s distractions and interferences at ringside, will retain. Meng & Rude over Steamboat & Hennig. With the Dragon involved, history tells me there is a pretty good chance he will take the loss for his team. Kind of hoping Meng puts him out of his misery so you can just send him back to me. This is the match I'm most looking forward to. Bryan over DiBiase. Idk who to pick here and they hate each other so my initial prediction was a DDQ until I re-read that it was an Oklahoma Street Fight. Bryan will kick Ted's f'n head in and get the duke. Race over Sheik. No way Sheik wins with all those finishers on Race's card, unless he uses his loaded boot 5 or 6 times and then slaps on the CAMEL CLUTCH. But I don't see it. Piper's Pit. Not sure what's going to happen but I envision a drugged up or drunk Marty stumbling onto the set, incoherent, admitting he's killed people in the past and gets arrested on the spot. Maybe Bubba comes back out as the Big Boss Man, cuffs him and beats him with his nightstick (not ball and chain). I will definitely be at this show and I will be eating all the funnel cake in sight. If it's windy, I'll be the one who looks like Al Pacino in Scarface with powder all over my face. Looking forward to the results!

I can't wait to make predictions about your fed. (Hint, hint.) Iron Sheik has been very tough for me. He has a 4-1-0 record, and his only loss came at the hands of the equally undefeated (at that time) Crusher. But Race is Race.
Same thing with the Road Warriors--how do you bet against them?
As for the other matches...well, you'll just have to wait and see. Thank you as always for your comments and your interest. It really does mean a lot to me.

Perhaps these two situations will dovetail and it'll look like you and Marty shared the last dozen funnel cakes. They'll only able to tell you two apart by the tassels. And the homicide confessions. LOL.
