On the way to Tampa it was sunny. Then I saw dark clouds and what appeared to be rain. But it blew over before I got there which was still a few miles to Tampa. It got clear then I saw dark clouds where I was headed. Lighting, some really good ones, flashes. That just pumped me up. That and hearing Iron Man and Ballroom Blitz on the radio. Once I parked I was able to get inside fairly quickly and avoided any of the storm. Once inside and seated hears some thunder outside and a few minutes later it was a down pour. Good timing. My seat was sweet. Things were going good till the fan to my left came to sit down. He was a big hoss and seats were crammed together. Was not bad till the fan to my right sat down. Another hoss. Lucky for me I'm smaller. It was tight. The show was really good and the fans around me were fun. Except the ones who didn't like the old school wrestling match between KUSHIDA and Johnathan Gresham, which I thought was good and nice change of pace, then complained about flippy floppy X match later. I won't give spoilers, other than mentioning that one match, and saying Josh Alexander had a match. During it I yelled "Josh is juicing on maple syrup" and it caused a "maple syrup" chant. I doubt you will hear it, they will likely edit it, but if you hear it blame me. I thought I was sitting on the side 90 degrees from the hard camera but they had it on my side. So I doubt I got on TV much or my signs. One said "Microsoft caused The System failure". One said "Rosemary, will you scary me". One has a good chance of being seen as I saw a camera on it. It said "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Jon Hendry" with the two Beetlejuice crosses out. There some surprise faces for the Ultimate X qualifying matches. Saw you holding your Beetlejuice/Joe Hendry sign last night! When the camera showed a wide shot of the crowd, I also saw your Rosemary sign on the back.
The camera didn't show you, but it did show The Personal Concierge tell you to shut your filth. I used to like him, but he's become a bigger "son-a-mah-gun" than Kazarian!
Speaking of Kaz, did you get to see the backstage segments like Kaz & Santino, or did they edit those into the broadcast after the TV tapings?
Looked like a fun show, and I can't wait to watch the next few weeks leading up to Emergence. Glad you were able to go and have a good time!

I didn't catch the show but saw some clips on their website that they posted to X. I saw myself twice and I was wearing a different t-shirt each time. The segment with The System in the ring was from day two as they showed me and I was wearing my shirt from the 2nd day. (Side note to anyone who noticed me, see if you can identify the two shirts I wore. They might look familiar but they are hard to read due to the angle). When Moose is yapping about his resume and then a "Santino" chant breaks out they go to the crowd. You see a guy holding a Wanted poster sign and I am standing next to him. They filmed The System's segment twice. I guess something went wrong on day 1 so had to do it again. I think the crowd caused Moose or someone to mess up. The other clip I saw me was when Joe Hendry walks out. They show me holding the sign and I am wearing a white t-shirt. That was day 1. Yep, it was him that yelled at me. Then before I could come up with a good response he walked over to the other side of the ring. Coward lol. For those that do not know he is the Iceman, cannot think of his full name right now, that used to do hype work for TNA. As far as the backstage segments they showed a couple but not all of them. For instance last night Santino Marella said he would make sure there were extra referees for the match between Tasha Steelz and Gisele Shaw but we did not get that info at the taping. So, it was weird seeing 2 extra referees out for that one match. Had no clue why then. Now of course I do. BOUND FOR GLORY is bound for DETROIT...MICHIGAN! Man, I wish I could go but not gonna happen. Should be a good crowd for the PPV. If anyone wants to check out me and my signs here is the link to TNA's results page with the clips from X. I had two other signs that I am sure will not make the show since it was not live and they can edit them out if they caught them. One said "filsingergames.com" and below it "Hi Tom". When I was at the tapings I heard some fans talking about pro wrestling should be an Olympic sport. My first reaction is it cannot be since it is scripted. Then I realized, it cannot be a win/loss event like basketball or soccer but it could be a judged event like gymnastics or artistic swimming. Think about it. Two wrestlers from the same country would go out and have a 2-3 minute match and be awarded points by judges based on their performance. I mean the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan and England would be the top countries I am sure but other countries could be represented easily. I do not see it actually making the Olympics but maybe the Goodwill Games. If not that, it would be cool if wrestling promotions could get together and put on a show right before or after the Olympics and do something like that.

I received an email about tickets for BFG. First row are known as "Powerslam First Row" and are going for $599. There is also "Suplex Second Row" for $499. Only 100 total available. They include same seat for both nights, Saturday for BFG and Sunday for an Impact taping. A commemorative BFG take home chair, a private reception and photo op with Hardys, Hendry, Grace and Nemeth. Photo will all TNA champions on Sunday. Swag bag and a few other perks. Pretty cool. Glad to see they are doing something special again for the people who pay the big bucks.

You had a CotG shirt on on_the_edge and it wasn't a bad iMPACT!, I liked the Kushida & Gresham match and the story they're telling. I know it would be cool to see Kaz become the World Champ, but if not a (and I don't see it happening in him winning the World Title) X Division reign would be cool... |

Day one I had this year's Galacticon shirt on. That is the white one. Now, let's see if anyone can tell what the other one, the brownish one, is. I had to represent when I was at the shows. (If you want to look like your favorite poster that you saw on TNA's Impact show you can pick up the same shirts at teekostore.com that's tee KO store dot com. Go get your's today.) Based on some of the talk I see Kaz winning the X and then trying to cash in on Option C. He MIGHT cash in successfully. I think I would enjoy an OG TNA wrestler is better than the new school ones storyline. Long as it did not go on for long. |

I could not tell from the clips I saw from this week but shortly after Santino Marella slipped up and said he could have Matt Cardona prostituted instead of prosecuted we started a "prostituted" chant. (OK a funny thing happened as I was typing this out. I cannot say what not but I will mention it come Sunday) Also, me and the fans around me were talking how Matt says he did not have his ring gear yet he says he is "Always ready". Bullhockey. I had a fun exchange with a fan during Steelz match. When she pulled the wrench out from under the ring someone said "she has a wrench" and I said " she is not a wench". Having the two extra refs out there was confusing as we were not privy to the info on why they were there. The sign that Moose tore up got a lot of love before that moment. It had Joe's face on the front and the back of his head on the back. He had it on a motor so the sign could turn around just like Joe does. The fan went home that night and redid it. He ended up sitting next to me on night two. The main event was NUTS. I loved that match. After awhile I had a feeling it was going to a time limit draw. I did not say anything but I should have. I am looking forward to what those two give up in the 60 man match at Emergence.

The card for Emergence on 8/30 is looking good so far.
Nemeth vs Alexander in a 1 hour Iron Man match for the World title
Grace and Spitfire vs Ash and Malisha in a 6-Knockout match
Ultimate X match for the X Division title (I think whoever wins it might end up exercising Option C sometime soon after)

Oh yea, I forgot to tell you about the funny thing that happened Friday night as I was typing my post about Impact. As I was typing, at work, a bus pulled up with the WWE crew staying with us Friday night before a show on Saturday. I knew they were coming, just found the timing amusing. Normally I try and turn on AEW on Friday nights on the lobby TV, but I left it off out of respect. I now realize I should have turned on Smackdown lol.

I see Smackdown is moving from Fox to USA next month. I wonder if Anthem has contacted Fox to see if they still would like to have wrestling programming. IMO the best way to do it is when Fox needs a midseason replacement or when they have a couple hours without programming getting ratings. Give Impact a couple months just to see how they do. If they do not get the ratings Fox would like, then let them go. However, if they do decent then sign for a couple year deal. Basically, a test run to see if things work for both sides.
